攻取玛基大和立拿

²⁸当日，约书亚夺了玛基大，用刀击杀城中的人和王；将其中一切人口尽行杀灭，没有留下一个。他待玛基大王，像从前待耶利哥王一样。On that day Joshua captured Makkedah and put it to the sword, along with its king. He devoted to destruction everyone in the city, leaving no survivors. So he did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.

²⁹约书亚和以色列众人从玛基大往立拿去，攻打立拿。Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Makkedah to Libnah and fought against Libnah.

³⁰耶和华将立拿和立拿的王也交在以色列人手里。约书亚攻打这城，用刀击杀了城中的一切人口，没有留下一个。他待立拿王，像从前待耶利哥王一样。And the LORD also delivered that city and its king into the hand of Israel, and Joshua put all the people to the sword, leaving no survivors. And he did to the king of Libnah as he had done to the king of Jericho.

攻取拉吉

³¹约书亚和以色列众人从立拿往拉吉去，对着拉吉安营，攻打这城。And Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Libnah to Lachish. They laid siege to it and fought against it.

³²耶和华将拉吉交在以色列人的手里。第二天约书亚就夺了拉吉，用刀击杀了城中的一切人口，是照他向立拿一切所行的。And the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, and Joshua captured it on the second day. He put all the people to the sword, just as he had done to Libnah.

³³那时基色王荷兰上来帮助拉吉，约书亚就把他和他的民都击杀了，没有留下一个。At that time Horam king of Gezer went to help Lachish, but Joshua struck him down along with his people, leaving no survivors.

攻取伊矶伦、希伯仑、底璧

³⁴约书亚和以色列众人从拉吉往伊矶伦去，对着伊矶伦安营，攻打这城。So Joshua moved on from Lachish to Eglon, and all Israel with him. They laid siege to it and fought against it.

³⁵当日就夺了城，用刀击杀了城中的人。那日，约书亚将城中的一切人口尽行杀灭，是照他向拉吉一切所行的。That day they captured Eglon and put it to the sword, and Joshua devoted to destruction everyone in the city, just as he had done to Lachish.

³⁶约书亚和以色列众人从伊矶伦上希伯仑去，攻打这城，Then Joshua and all Israel with him went up from Eglon to Hebron and fought against it.

³⁷就夺了希伯仑和属希伯仑的诸城邑，用刀将城中的人与王，并那些城邑中的人口，都击杀了，没有留下一个，是照他向伊矶伦所行的，把城中的一切人口尽行杀灭。They captured it and put to the sword its king, all its villages, and all the people. Joshua left no survivors, just as he had done at Eglon; he devoted to destruction Hebron and everyone in it.

³⁸约书亚和以色列众人回到底璧，攻打这城，Finally Joshua and all Israel with him turned toward Debir and fought against it.

³⁹就夺了底璧和属底璧的城邑，又擒获底璧的王，用刀将这些城中的人口尽行杀灭，没有留下一个。他待底璧和底璧王，像从前待希伯仑和立拿与立拿王一样。And they captured Debir, its king, and all its villages. They put them to the sword and devoted to destruction everyone in the city, leaving no survivors. Joshua did to Debir and its king as he had done to Hebron and as he had done to Libnah and its king.

平定南方

⁴⁰这样，约书亚击杀全地的人，就是山地、南地、高原、山坡的人，和那些地的诸王，没有留下一个。将凡有气息的尽行杀灭，正如耶和华—以色列的　神所吩咐的。So Joshua conquered the whole region—the hill country, the Negev, the foothills, and the slopes, together with all their kings—leaving no survivors. He devoted to destruction everything that breathed, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded.

⁴¹约书亚从加低斯·巴尼亚攻击到迦萨，又攻击歌珊全地，直到基遍。Joshua conquered the area from Kadesh-barnea to Gaza, and the whole region of Goshen as far as Gibeon.

⁴²约书亚一时杀败了这些王，并夺了他们的地，因为耶和华—以色列的　神为以色列争战。And because the LORD, the God of Israel, fought for Israel, Joshua captured all these kings and their land in one campaign.

⁴³于是约书亚和以色列众人回到吉甲的营中。Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal.

北方诸王联军

¹夏琐王耶宾听见这事，就打发人去见玛顿王约巴、伸仑王、押煞王，Now when Jabin king of Hazor heard about these things, he sent word to Jobab king of Madon; to the kings of Shimron and Achshaph;

²与北方山地、基尼烈南边的亚拉巴高原，并西边多珥山冈的诸王；to the kings of the north in the mountains, in the Arabah south of Chinnereth, in the foothills, and in Naphoth-dor to the west;

³又去见东方和西方的迦南人，与山地的亚摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人，并黑门山根米斯巴地的希未人。to the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, and Jebusites in the hill country; and to the Hivites at the foot of Hermon in the land of Mizpah.

⁴这些王和他们的众军都出来，人数多如海边的沙，并有许多马匹车辆。So these kings came out with all their armies, a multitude as numerous as the sand on the seashore, along with a great number of horses and chariots.

⁵这诸王会合，来到米伦水边，一同安营，要与以色列人争战。All these kings joined forces and encamped at the waters of Merom to fight against Israel.

在米伦水边大胜

⁶耶和华对约书亚说：“你不要因他们惧怕。明日这时，我必将他们交付以色列人全然杀了。你要砍断他们马的蹄筋，用火焚烧他们的车辆。”Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for by this time tomorrow I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. You are to hamstring their horses and burn up their chariots.”

⁷于是约书亚率领一切兵丁，在米伦水边突然向前攻打他们。So by the waters of Merom, Joshua and his whole army came upon them suddenly and attacked them,

⁸耶和华将他们交在以色列人手里，以色列人就击杀他们，追赶他们到西顿大城，到米斯利弗·玛音，直到东边米斯巴的平原，将他们击杀，没有留下一个。and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them down and pursued them all the way to Greater Sidon and Misrephoth-maim, and eastward as far as the Valley of Mizpeh. They struck them down, leaving no survivors.

⁹约书亚就照耶和华所吩咐他的去行，砍断他们马的蹄筋，用火焚烧他们的车辆。Joshua treated them as the LORD had told him; he hamstrung their horses and burned up their chariots.

焚烧夏琐

¹⁰当时，约书亚转回夺了夏琐，用刀击杀夏琐王。（素来夏琐在这诸国中是为首的。）At that time Joshua turned back and captured Hazor and put its king to the sword, because Hazor was formerly the head of all these kingdoms.

¹¹以色列人用刀击杀城中的人口，将他们尽行杀灭；凡有气息的没有留下一个。约书亚又用火焚烧夏琐。The Israelites put everyone in Hazor to the sword, devoting them to destruction. Nothing that breathed remained, and Joshua burned down Hazor itself.

¹²约书亚夺了这些王的一切城邑，擒获其中的诸王，用刀击杀他们，将他们尽行杀灭，正如耶和华仆人摩西所吩咐的。Joshua captured all these kings and their cities and put them to the sword. He devoted them to destruction, as Moses the LORD’s servant had commanded.

¹³至于造在山冈上的城，除了夏琐以外，以色列人都没有焚烧。约书亚只将夏琐焚烧了。Yet Israel did not burn any of the cities built on their mounds, except Hazor, which Joshua burned.

¹⁴那些城邑所有的财物和牲畜，以色列人都取为自己的掠物；惟有一切人口都用刀击杀，直到杀尽；凡有气息的没有留下一个。The Israelites took for themselves all the plunder and livestock of these cities, but they put all the people to the sword until they had completely destroyed them, not sparing anyone who breathed.

¹⁵耶和华怎样吩咐他仆人摩西，摩西就照样吩咐约书亚，约书亚也照样行。凡耶和华所吩咐摩西的，约书亚没有一件懈怠不行的。As the LORD had commanded His servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua. That is what Joshua did, leaving nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.

约书亚夺了全地

¹⁶约书亚夺了那全地，就是山地、一带南地、歌珊全地、高原、亚拉巴、以色列的山地，和山下的高原。So Joshua took this entire region: the hill country, all the Negev, all the land of Goshen, the western foothills, the Arabah, and the mountains of Israel and their foothills,

¹⁷从上西珥的哈拉山，直到黑门山下黎巴嫩平原的巴力·迦得，并且擒获那些地的诸王，将他们杀死。from Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir, as far as Baal-gad in the Valley of Lebanon at the foot of Mount Hermon. He captured all their kings and struck them down, putting them to death.

¹⁸约书亚和这诸王争战了许多年日。Joshua waged war against all these kings for a long period of time.

¹⁹除了基遍的希未人之外，没有一城与以色列人讲和的，都是以色列人争战夺来的。No city made peace with the Israelites except the Hivites living in Gibeon; all others were taken in battle.

²⁰因为耶和华的意思是要使他们心里刚硬，来与以色列人争战，好叫他们尽被杀灭，不蒙怜悯，正如耶和华所吩咐摩西的。For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts to engage Israel in battle, so that they would be set apart for destruction and would receive no mercy, being annihilated as the LORD had commanded Moses.

剪除亚衲族人

²¹当时约书亚来到，将住山地、希伯仑、底璧、亚拿伯、犹大山地、以色列山地所有的亚衲族人剪除了。约书亚将他们和他们的城邑尽都毁灭。At that time Joshua proceeded to eliminate the Anakim from the hill country of Hebron, Debir, and Anab, and from all the hill country of Judah and of Israel. Joshua devoted them to destruction, along with their cities.

²²在以色列人的地没有留下一个亚衲族人，只在迦萨、迦特，和亚实突有留下的。No Anakim were left in the land of the Israelites; only in Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod did any survive.

²³这样，约书亚照着耶和华所吩咐摩西的一切话夺了那全地，就按着以色列支派的宗族将地分给他们为业。于是国中太平，没有争战了。So Joshua took the entire land, in keeping with all that the LORD had spoken to Moses. And Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to the allotments to their tribes. Then the land had rest from war.

摩西在河东击败的二王

¹以色列人在约旦河外向日出之地击杀二王，得他们的地，就是从亚嫩谷直到黑门山，并东边的全亚拉巴之地。Now these are the kings of the land whom the Israelites struck down and whose lands they took beyond the Jordan to the east, from the Arnon Valley to Mount Hermon, including all the Arabah eastward:

²这二王，有住希实本、亚摩利人的王西宏。他所管之地是从亚嫩谷边的亚罗珥和谷中的城，并基列一半，直到亚扪人的境界，雅博河Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon. He ruled from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along the middle of the valley, up to the Jabbok River (the border of the Ammonites), that is, half of Gilead,

³与约旦河东边的亚拉巴，直到基尼烈海，又到亚拉巴的海，就是盐海，通伯·耶西末的路，以及南方，直到毗斯迦的山根。as well as the Arabah east of the Sea of Chinnereth to the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea), eastward through Beth-jeshimoth, and southward below the slopes of Pisgah.

⁴又有巴珊王噩。他是利乏音人所剩下的，住在亚斯他录和以得来。And Og king of Bashan, one of the remnant of the Rephaim, who lived in Ashtaroth and Edrei.

⁵他所管之地是黑门山、撒迦、巴珊全地，直到基述人和玛迦人的境界，并基列一半，直到希实本王西宏的境界。He ruled over Mount Hermon, Salecah, all of Bashan up to the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and half of Gilead to the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

⁶这二王是耶和华仆人摩西和以色列人所击杀的；耶和华仆人摩西将他们的地赐给流便人、迦得人，和玛拿西半支派的人为业。Moses, the servant of the LORD, and the Israelites had struck them down and given their land as an inheritance to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.

约书亚在河西击败的诸王

⁷约书亚和以色列人在约旦河西击杀了诸王。他们的地是从黎巴嫩平原的巴力·迦得，直到上西珥的哈拉山。约书亚就将那地按着以色列支派的宗族分给他们为业，And these are the kings of the land that Joshua and the Israelites conquered beyond the Jordan to the west, from Baal-gad in the Valley of Lebanon to Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir (according to the allotments to the tribes of Israel, Joshua gave them as an inheritance

⁸就是赫人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人的山地、高原亚拉巴、山坡、旷野，和南地。the hill country, the foothills, the Arabah, the slopes, the wilderness, and the Negev—the lands of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites):

⁹他们的王：一个是耶利哥王，一个是靠近伯特利的艾城王，the king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is near Bethel, one;

¹⁰一个是耶路撒冷王，一个是希伯仑王，the king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;

¹¹一个是耶末王，一个是拉吉王，the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

¹²一个是伊矶伦王，一个是基色王，the king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;

¹³一个是底璧王，一个是基德王，the king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;

¹⁴一个是何珥玛王，一个是亚拉得王，the king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;

¹⁵一个是立拿王，一个是亚杜兰王，the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one;

¹⁶一个是玛基大王，一个是伯特利王，the king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;

¹⁷一个是他普亚王，一个是希弗王，the king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;

¹⁸一个是亚弗王，一个是拉沙仑王，the king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;

¹⁹一个是玛顿王，一个是夏琐王，the king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;

²⁰一个是伸仑·米仑王，一个是押煞王，the king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;

²¹一个是他纳王，一个是米吉多王，the king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;

²²一个是基低斯王，一个是靠近迦密的约念王，the king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam in Carmel, one;

²³一个是多珥山冈的多珥王，一个是吉甲的戈印王，the king of Dor in Naphath-dor, one; the king of Goiim in Gilgal, one;

²⁴一个是得撒王；共计三十一个王。and the king of Tirzah, one. So there were thirty-one kings in all.

差遣十二门徒

¹耶稣叫齐了十二个门徒，给他们能力、权柄，制伏一切的鬼，医治各样的病，Then Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and power to cure diseases.

²又差遣他们去宣传　神国的道，医治病人，And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

行路不要带甚么

³对他们说：“行路的时候，不要带拐杖和口袋，不要带食物和银子，也不要带两件褂子。“Take nothing for the journey,” He told them, “no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no second tunic.

⁴无论进哪一家，就住在那里，也从那里起行。Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that area.

⁵凡不接待你们的，你们离开那城的时候，要把脚上的尘土跺下去，见证他们的不是。”If anyone does not welcome you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that town, as a testimony against them.”

门徒出去传福音

⁶门徒就出去，走遍各乡宣传福音，到处治病。So they set out and went from village to village, preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere.

希律游移不定

⁷分封的王希律听见耶稣所做的一切事，就游移不定；因为有人说：“是约翰从死里复活”；When Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, he was perplexed. For some were saying that John had risen from the dead,

⁸又有人说：“是以利亚显现”；还有人说：“是古时的一个先知又活了。”others that Elijah had appeared, and still others that a prophet of old had arisen.

⁹希律说：“约翰我已经斩了，这却是什么人？我竟听见他这样的事呢？”就想要见他。“I beheaded John,” Herod said, “but who is this man I hear such things about?” And he kept trying to see Jesus.

使徒回来

¹⁰使徒回来，将所做的事告诉耶稣，耶稣就带他们暗暗地离开那里，往一座城去；那城名叫伯赛大。Then the apostles returned and reported to Jesus all that they had done. Taking them away privately, He withdrew to a town called Bethsaida.

¹¹但众人知道了，就跟着他去；耶稣便接待他们，对他们讲论　神国的道，医治那些需医的人。But the crowds found out and followed Him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and He healed those who needed healing.

你们给他们吃吧

¹²日头快要平西，十二个门徒来对他说：“请叫众人散开，他们好往四面乡村里去借宿找吃的，因为我们这里是野地。”As the day neared its end, the Twelve came to Jesus and said, “Dismiss the crowd so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside for lodging and provisions. For we are in a desolate place here.”

¹³耶稣说：“你们给他们吃吧！”门徒说：“我们不过有五个饼，两条鱼，若不去为这许多人买食物就不够。”But Jesus told them, “You give them something to eat.” “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered, “unless we go and buy food for all these people.”

¹⁴那时，人数约有五千。耶稣对门徒说：“叫他们一排一排地坐下，每排大约五十个人。”(There were about five thousand men.) He told His disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”

¹⁵门徒就如此行，叫众人都坐下。They did so, and everyone was seated.

五饼二鱼喂饱众人

¹⁶耶稣拿着这五个饼，两条鱼，望着天祝福，擘开，递给门徒，摆在众人面前。Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, Jesus spoke a blessing and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples to set before the people.

¹⁷他们就吃，并且都吃饱了；把剩下的零碎收拾起来，装满了十二篮子。They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
