不可有恶根生出苦菜

¹⁸惟恐你们中间，或男或女，或族长或支派长，今日心里偏离耶和华—我们的　神，去事奉那些国的　神；又怕你们中间有恶根生出苦菜和茵蔯来，Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the LORD our God to go and worship the gods of those nations. Make sure there is no root among you that bears such poisonous and bitter fruit,

¹⁹听见这咒诅的话，心里仍是自夸说：‘我虽然行事心里顽梗，连累众人，却还是平安。’because when such a person hears the words of this oath, he invokes a blessing on himself, saying, ‘I will have peace, even though I walk in the stubbornness of my own heart.’ This will bring disaster on the watered land as well as the dry.

²⁰耶和华必不饶恕他；耶和华的怒气与愤恨要向他发作，如烟冒出，将这书上所写的一切咒诅都加在他身上。耶和华又要从天下涂抹他的名，The LORD will never be willing to forgive him. Instead, His anger and jealousy will burn against that man, and every curse written in this book will fall upon him. The LORD will blot out his name from under heaven

²¹也必照着写在律法书上、约中的一切咒诅将他从以色列众支派中分别出来，使他受祸。and single him out from all the tribes of Israel for disaster, according to all the curses of the covenant written in this Book of the Law.

这地为何荒凉

²²你们的后代，就是以后兴起来的子孙，和远方来的外人，看见这地的灾殃，并耶和华所降与这地的疾病，Then the generation to come—your sons who follow you and the foreigner who comes from a distant land—will see the plagues of the land and the sicknesses the LORD has inflicted on it.

²³又看见遍地有硫磺，有盐卤，有火迹，没有耕种，没有出产，连草都不生长—好像耶和华在忿怒中所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁一样—All its soil will be a burning waste of sulfur and salt, unsown and unproductive, with no plant growing on it, just like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in His fierce anger.

²⁴所看见的人，连万国人，都必问说：‘耶和华为何向此地这样行呢？这样大发烈怒是什么意思呢？’So all the nations will ask, ‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land? Why this great outburst of anger?’

²⁵人必回答说：‘是因这地的人离弃了耶和华—他们列祖的　神，领他们出埃及地的时候与他们所立的约，And the people will answer, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.

²⁶去事奉敬拜素不认识的别神，是耶和华所未曾给他们安排的。They went and served other gods, and they worshiped gods they had not known—gods that the LORD had not given to them.

²⁷所以耶和华的怒气向这地发作，将这书上所写的一切咒诅都降在这地上。Therefore the anger of the LORD burned against this land, and He brought upon it every curse written in this book.

²⁸耶和华在怒气、忿怒、大恼恨中将他们从本地拔出来，扔在别的地上，像今日一样。’The LORD uprooted them from their land in His anger, rage, and great wrath, and He cast them into another land, where they are today.’

隐秘的事与明显的事

²⁹“隐秘的事是属耶和华—我们　神的；惟有明显的事是永远属我们和我们子孙的，好叫我们遵行这律法上的一切话。”The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law.

归向神，必蒙招聚

¹“我所陈明在你面前的这一切咒诅都临到你身上；你在耶和华—你　神追赶你到的万国中必心里追念祝福的话；“When all these things come upon you—the blessings and curses I have set before you—and you call them to mind in all the nations to which the LORD your God has banished you,

²你和你的子孙若尽心尽性归向耶和华—你的　神，照着我今日一切所吩咐的听从他的话；and when you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey His voice with all your heart and all your soul according to everything I am giving you today,

³那时，耶和华—你的　神必怜恤你，救回你这被掳的子民；耶和华—你的　神要回转过来，从分散你到的万民中将你招聚回来。then He will restore you from captivity and have compassion on you and gather you from all the nations to which the LORD your God has scattered you.

⁴你被赶散的人，就是在天涯的，耶和华—你的　神也必从那里将你招聚回来。Even if you have been banished to the farthest horizon, He will gather you and return you from there.

⁵耶和华—你的　神必领你进入你列祖所得的地，使你可以得着；又必善待你，使你的人数比你列祖众多。And the LORD your God will bring you into the land your fathers possessed, and you will take possession of it. He will cause you to prosper and multiply more than your fathers.

⁶耶和华—你　神必将你心里和你后裔心里的污秽除掉，好叫你尽心尽性爱耶和华—你的　神，使你可以存活。The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, and you will love Him with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.

⁷耶和华—你的　神必将这一切咒诅加在你仇敌和恨恶你、逼迫你的人身上。Then the LORD your God will put all these curses upon your enemies who hate you and persecute you.

⁸你必归回，听从耶和华的话，遵行他的一切诫命，就是我今日所吩咐你的。And you will again obey the voice of the LORD and follow all His commandments I am giving you today.

^9–10你若听从耶和华—你　神的话，谨守这律法书上所写的诫命律例，又尽心尽性归向耶和华—你的　神，他必使你手里所办的一切事，并你身所生的，牲畜所下的，地土所产的，都绰绰有余；因为耶和华必再喜悦你，降福与你，像从前喜悦你列祖一样。So the LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your land. Indeed, the LORD will again delight in your prosperity, as He delighted in that of your fathers, if you obey the LORD your God by keeping His commandments and statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

这话离你甚近

¹¹“我今日所吩咐你的诫命不是你难行的，也不是离你远的；For this commandment I give you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.

¹²不是在天上，使你说：‘谁替我们上天取下来，使我们听见可以遵行呢？’It is not in heaven, that you should need to ask, ‘Who will ascend into heaven to get it for us and proclaim it, that we may obey it?’

¹³也不是在海外，使你说：‘谁替我们过海取了来，使我们听见可以遵行呢？’And it is not beyond the sea, that you should need to ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to get it for us and proclaim it, that we may obey it?’

¹⁴这话却离你甚近，就在你口中，在你心里，使你可以遵行。But the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you may obey it.

拣选生命

¹⁵“看哪，我今日将生与福，死与祸，陈明在你面前。See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, as well as death and disaster.

¹⁶吩咐你爱耶和华—你的　神，遵行他的道，谨守他的诫命、律例、典章，使你可以存活，人数增多，耶和华—你　神就必在你所要进去得为业的地上赐福与你。For I am commanding you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and the LORD your God may bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.

¹⁷倘若你心里偏离，不肯听从，却被勾引去敬拜事奉别神，But if your heart turns away and you do not listen, but are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them,

¹⁸我今日明明告诉你们，你们必要灭亡；在你过约旦河、进去得为业的地上，你的日子必不长久。I declare to you today that you will surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.

¹⁹我今日呼天唤地向你作见证；我将生死祸福陈明在你面前，所以你要拣选生命，使你和你的后裔都得存活；I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, so that you and your descendants may live,

²⁰且爱耶和华—你的　神，听从他的话，专靠他；因为他是你的生命，你的日子长久也在乎他。这样，你就可以在耶和华向你列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓应许所赐的地上居住。”and that you may love the LORD your God, obey Him, and hold fast to Him. For He is your life, and He will prolong your life in the land that the LORD swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

勉励百姓和约书亚

¹摩西去告诉以色列众人When Moses had finished speaking these words to all Israel,

²说：“我现在一百二十岁了，不能照常出入；耶和华也曾对我说：‘你必不得过这约旦河。’he said to them, “I am now a hundred and twenty years old; I am no longer able to come and go, and the LORD has said to me, ‘You shall not cross the Jordan.’

³耶和华—你们的　神必引导你们过去，将这些国民在你们面前灭绝，你们就得他们的地。约书亚必引导你们过去，正如耶和华所说的。The LORD your God Himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will dispossess them. Joshua will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said.

⁴耶和华必待他们，如同从前待他所灭绝的亚摩利二王西宏与噩以及他们的国一样。And the LORD will do to them as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, when He destroyed them along with their land.

⁵耶和华必将他们交给你们；你们要照我所吩咐的一切命令待他们。The LORD will deliver them over to you, and you must do to them exactly as I have commanded you.

⁶你们当刚强壮胆，不要害怕，也不要畏惧他们，因为耶和华—你的　神和你同去。他必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。”Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

⁷摩西召了约书亚来，在以色列众人眼前对他说：“你当刚强壮胆！因为，你要和这百姓一同进入耶和华向他们列祖起誓应许所赐之地；你也要使他们承受那地为业。Then Moses called for Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land that the LORD swore to their fathers to give them, and you shall give it to them as an inheritance.

⁸耶和华必在你前面行；他必与你同在，必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。不要惧怕，也不要惊惶。”The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.”

每七年宣读律法

⁹摩西将这律法写出来，交给抬耶和华约柜的祭司利未子孙和以色列的众长老。So Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and to all the elders of Israel.

¹⁰摩西吩咐他们说：“每逢七年的末一年，就在豁免年的定期住棚节的时候，Then Moses commanded them, “At the end of every seven years, at the appointed time in the year of remission of debt, during the Feast of Tabernacles,

¹¹以色列众人来到耶和华—你　神所选择的地方朝见他。那时，你要在以色列众人面前将这律法念给他们听。when all Israel comes before the LORD your God at the place He will choose, you are to read this law in the hearing of all Israel.

¹²要招聚他们男、女、孩子，并城里寄居的，使他们听，使他们学习，好敬畏耶和华—你们的　神，谨守、遵行这律法的一切话，Assemble the people—men, women, children, and the foreigners within your gates—so that they may listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and to follow carefully all the words of this law.

¹³也使他们未曾晓得这律法的儿女得以听见，学习敬畏耶和华—你们的　神，在你们过约旦河要得为业之地，存活的日子，常常这样行。”Then their children who do not know the law will listen and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

神在会幕中显现

¹⁴耶和华对摩西说：“你的死期临近了；要召约书亚来，你们二人站在会幕里，我好嘱咐他。”于是摩西和约书亚去站在会幕里。Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, the time of your death is near. Call Joshua and present yourselves at the Tent of Meeting, so that I may commission him.” So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the Tent of Meeting.

¹⁵耶和华在会幕里云柱中显现，云柱停在会幕门以上。Then the LORD appeared at the tent in a pillar of cloud, and the cloud stood over the entrance to the tent.

预言百姓要背约

¹⁶耶和华又对摩西说：“你必和你列祖同睡。这百姓要起来，在他们所要去的地上，在那地的人中，随从外邦神行邪淫，离弃我，违背我与他们所立的约。And the LORD said to Moses, “You will soon rest with your fathers, and these people will rise up and prostitute themselves with the foreign gods of the land they are entering. They will forsake Me and break the covenant I have made with them.

¹⁷那时，我的怒气必向他们发作；我也必离弃他们，掩面不顾他们，以致他们被吞灭，并有许多的祸患灾难临到他们。那日他们必说：‘这些祸患临到我们，岂不是因我们的　神不在我们中间吗？’On that day My anger will burn against them, and I will abandon them and hide My face from them, so that they will be consumed, and many troubles and afflictions will befall them. On that day they will say, ‘Have not these disasters come upon us because our God is no longer with us?’

¹⁸那时，因他们偏向别神所行的一切恶，我必定掩面不顾他们。And on that day I will surely hide My face because of all the evil they have done by turning to other gods.

¹⁹现在你要写一篇歌，教导以色列人，传给他们，使这歌见证他们的不是；Now therefore, write down for yourselves this song and teach it to the Israelites; have them recite it, so that it may be a witness for Me against them.

²⁰因为我将他们领进我向他们列祖起誓应许那流奶与蜜之地，他们在那里吃得饱足，身体肥胖，就必偏向别神，事奉他们，藐视我，背弃我的约。When I have brought them into the land that I swore to give their fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey, they will eat their fill and prosper. Then they will turn to other gods and worship them, and they will reject Me and break My covenant.

²¹那时，有许多祸患灾难临到他们，这歌必在他们面前作见证，他们后裔的口中必念诵不忘。我未领他们到我所起誓应许之地以先，他们所怀的意念我都知道了。”And when many troubles and afflictions have come upon them, this song will testify against them, because it will not be forgotten from the lips of their descendants. For I know their inclination, even before I bring them into the land that I swore to give them.”

²²当日摩西就写了一篇歌，教导以色列人。So that very day Moses wrote down this song and taught it to the Israelites.

神嘱咐约书亚

²³耶和华嘱咐嫩的儿子约书亚说：“你当刚强壮胆，因为你必领以色列人进我所起誓应许他们的地；我必与你同在。”Then the LORD commissioned Joshua son of Nun and said, “Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land that I swore to give them, and I will be with you.”

律法书放在约柜旁

²⁴摩西将这律法的话写在书上，及至写完了，When Moses had finished writing in a book the words of this law from beginning to end,

²⁵就吩咐抬耶和华约柜的利未人说：he gave this command to the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD:

²⁶“将这律法书放在耶和华—你们　神的约柜旁，可以在那里见证以色列人的不是；“Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, so that it may remain there as a witness against you.

²⁷因为我知道你们是悖逆的，是硬着颈项的。我今日还活着与你们同在，你们尚且悖逆耶和华，何况我死后呢？For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you are already rebelling against the LORD while I am still alive, how much more will you rebel after my death!

²⁸你们要将你们支派的众长老和官长都招聚了来，我好将这些话说与他们听，并呼天唤地见证他们的不是。Assemble before me all the elders of your tribes and all your officers so that I may speak these words in their hearing and call heaven and earth to witness against them.

²⁹我知道我死后，你们必全然败坏，偏离我所吩咐你们的道，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，以手所做的惹他发怒；日后必有祸患临到你们。”For I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt and turn from the path I have commanded you. And in the days to come, disaster will befall you because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD to provoke Him to anger by the work of your hands.”

在船上教导众人

¹耶稣站在革尼撒勒湖边，众人拥挤他，要听　神的道。On one occasion, while Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret with the crowd pressing in on Him to hear the word of God,

²他见有两只船湾在湖边；打鱼的人却离开船洗网去了。He saw two boats at the edge of the lake. The fishermen had left them and were washing their nets.

³有一只船是西门的，耶稣就上去，请他把船撑开，稍微离岸，就坐下，从船上教训众人。Jesus got into the boat belonging to Simon and asked him to put out a little from shore. And sitting down, He taught the people from the boat.

开到水深之处下网

⁴讲完了，对西门说：“把船开到水深之处，下网打鱼。”When Jesus had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.”

⁵西门说：“夫子，我们整夜劳力，并没有打着什么。但依从你的话，我就下网。”“Master,” Simon replied, “we have worked hard all night without catching anything. But because You say so, I will let down the nets.”

⁶他们下了网，就圈住许多鱼，网险些裂开，When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear.

⁷便招呼那只船上的同伴来帮助。他们就来，把鱼装满了两只船，甚至船要沉下去。So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

西门俯伏，蒙召得人

⁸西门·彼得看见，就俯伏在耶稣膝前，说：“主啊，离开我，我是个罪人！”When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees. “Go away from me, Lord,” he said, “for I am a sinful man.”

⁹他和一切同在的人都惊讶这一网所打的鱼。For he and his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,

¹⁰他的伙伴西庇太的儿子雅各、约翰，也是这样。耶稣对西门说：“不要怕！从今以后，你要得人了。”and so were his partners James and John, the sons of Zebedee. “Do not be afraid,” Jesus said to Simon. “From now on you will catch men.”

¹¹他们把两只船拢了岸，就撇下所有的，跟从了耶稣。And when they had brought their boats ashore, they left everything and followed Him.

洁净长大痲疯的人

¹²有一回，耶稣在一个城里，有人满身长了大麻风，看见他，就俯伏在地，求他说：“主若肯，必能叫我洁净了。”While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell facedown and begged Him, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

¹³耶稣伸手摸他，说：“我肯，你洁净了吧！”大麻风立刻就离了他的身。Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.

¹⁴耶稣嘱咐他：“你切不可告诉人，只要去把身体给祭司察看，又要为你得了洁净，照摩西所吩咐的献上礼物，对众人作证据。”“Do not tell anyone,” Jesus instructed him. “But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”

名声传扬，退到旷野祷告

¹⁵但耶稣的名声越发传扬出去。有极多的人聚集来听道，也指望医治他们的病。But the news about Jesus spread all the more, and great crowds came to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.

¹⁶耶稣却退到旷野去祷告。Yet He frequently withdrew to the wilderness to pray.
