雅各偏爱约瑟

¹雅各住在迦南地，就是他父亲寄居的地。Now Jacob lived in the land where his father had resided, the land of Canaan.

²雅各的记略如下。约瑟十七岁与他哥哥们一同牧羊。他是个童子，与他父亲的妾辟拉、悉帕的儿子们常在一处。约瑟将他哥哥们的恶行报给他们的父亲。This is the account of Jacob. When Joseph was seventeen years old, he was tending the flock with his brothers, the sons of his father’s wives Bilhah and Zilpah, and he brought their father a bad report about them.

³以色列原来爱约瑟过于爱他的众子，因为约瑟是他年老生的；他给约瑟做了一件彩衣。Now Israel loved Joseph more than his other sons, because Joseph had been born to him in his old age; so he made him a robe of many colors.

⁴约瑟的哥哥们见父亲爱约瑟过于爱他们，就恨约瑟，不与他说和睦的话。When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.

约瑟的两个梦

⁵约瑟做了一梦，告诉他哥哥们，他们就越发恨他。Then Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him even more.

⁶约瑟对他们说：“请听我所做的梦：He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had:

⁷我们在田里捆禾稼，我的捆起来站着，你们的捆来围着我的捆下拜。”We were binding sheaves of grain in the field, and suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around and bowed down to mine.”

⁸他的哥哥们回答说：“难道你真要作我们的王吗？难道你真要管辖我们吗？”他们就因为他的梦和他的话越发恨他。“Do you intend to reign over us?” his brothers asked. “Will you actually rule us?” So they hated him even more because of his dream and his statements.

⁹后来他又做了一梦，也告诉他的哥哥们说：“看哪，我又做了一梦，梦见太阳、月亮，与十一个星向我下拜。”Then Joseph had another dream and told it to his brothers. “Look,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

¹⁰约瑟将这梦告诉他父亲和他哥哥们，他父亲就责备他说：“你做的这是什么梦！难道我和你母亲、你弟兄果然要来俯伏在地，向你下拜吗？”He told his father and brothers, but his father rebuked him and said, “What is this dream that you have had? Will your mother and brothers and I actually come and bow down to the ground before you?”

¹¹他哥哥们都嫉妒他，他父亲却把这话存在心里。And his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept in mind what he had said.

约瑟去找哥哥们

¹²约瑟的哥哥们往示剑去放他们父亲的羊。Some time later, Joseph’s brothers had gone to pasture their father’s flocks near Shechem.

¹³以色列对约瑟说：“你哥哥们不是在示剑放羊吗？你来，我要打发你往他们那里去。”约瑟说：“我在这里。”Israel said to him, “Are not your brothers pasturing the flocks at Shechem? Get ready; I am sending you to them.” “I am ready,” Joseph replied.

¹⁴以色列说：“你去看看你哥哥们平安不平安，群羊平安不平安，就回来报信给我。”于是打发他出希伯仑谷，他就往示剑去了。Then Israel told him, “Go now and see how your brothers and the flocks are faring, and bring word back to me.” So he sent him off from the Valley of Hebron. And when Joseph arrived in Shechem,

¹⁵有人遇见他在田野走迷了路，就问他说：“你找什么？”a man found him wandering in the field and asked, “What are you looking for?”

¹⁶他说：“我找我的哥哥们，求你告诉我，他们在何处放羊。”“I am looking for my brothers,” Joseph replied. “Can you please tell me where they are pasturing their flocks?”

¹⁷那人说：“他们已经走了，我听见他们说要往多坍去。”约瑟就去追赶他哥哥们，遇见他们在多坍。“They have moved on from here,” the man answered. “I heard them say, ‘Let us go to Dothan.’” So Joseph set out after his brothers and found them at Dothan.

哥哥们同谋害约瑟

¹⁸他们远远地看见他，趁他还没有走到跟前，大家就同谋要害死他，Now Joseph’s brothers saw him in the distance, and before he arrived, they plotted to kill him.

¹⁹彼此说：“你看！那做梦的来了。“Here comes that dreamer!” they said to one another.

²⁰来吧！我们将他杀了，丢在一个坑里，就说有恶兽把他吃了。我们且看他的梦将来怎么样。”“Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits. We can say that a vicious animal has devoured him. Then we shall see what becomes of his dreams!”

²¹流便听见了，要救他脱离他们的手，说：“我们不可害他的性命”；When Reuben heard this, he tried to rescue Joseph from their hands. “Let us not take his life,” he said.

²²又说：“不可流他的血，可以把他丢在这野地的坑里，不可下手害他。”流便的意思是要救他脱离他们的手，把他归还他的父亲。“Do not shed his blood. Throw him into this pit in the wilderness, but do not lay a hand on him.” Reuben said this so that he could rescue Joseph from their hands and return him to his father.

²³约瑟到了他哥哥们那里，他们就剥了他的外衣，就是他穿的那件彩衣，So when Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped him of his robe—the robe of many colors he was wearing—

²⁴把他丢在坑里；那坑是空的，里头没有水。and they took him and threw him into the pit. Now the pit was empty, with no water in it.

约瑟被卖到埃及

²⁵他们坐下吃饭，举目观看，见有一伙米甸的以实玛利人从基列来，用骆驼驮着香料、乳香、没药，要带下埃及去。And as they sat down to eat a meal, they looked up and saw a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead. Their camels were carrying spices, balm, and myrrh on their way down to Egypt.

²⁶犹大对众弟兄说：“我们杀我们的兄弟，藏了他的血有什么益处呢？Then Judah said to his brothers, “What profit will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

²⁷我们不如将他卖给以实玛利人，不可下手害他；因为他是我们的兄弟，我们的骨肉。”众弟兄就听从了他。Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay a hand on him; for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And they agreed.

²⁸有些米甸的商人从那里经过，哥哥们就把约瑟从坑里拉上来，讲定二十舍客勒银子，把约瑟卖给以实玛利人。他们就把约瑟带到埃及去了。So when the Midianite traders passed by, his brothers pulled Joseph out of the pit and sold him for twenty shekels of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt.

流便回到坑边；雅各为约瑟悲哀

²⁹流便回到坑边，见约瑟不在坑里，就撕裂衣服，When Reuben returned to the pit and saw that Joseph was not there, he tore his clothes,

³⁰回到兄弟们那里，说：“童子没有了。我往哪里去才好呢？”returned to his brothers, and said, “The boy is gone! What am I going to do?”

³¹他们宰了一只公山羊，把约瑟的那件彩衣染了血，Then they took Joseph’s robe, slaughtered a young goat, and dipped the robe in its blood.

³²打发人送到他们的父亲那里，说：“我们捡了这个；请认一认是你儿子的外衣不是？”They sent the robe of many colors to their father and said, “We found this. Examine it to see whether it is your son’s robe or not.”

³³他认得，就说：“这是我儿子的外衣。有恶兽把他吃了，约瑟被撕碎了！撕碎了！”His father recognized it and said, “It is my son’s robe! A vicious animal has devoured him. Joseph has surely been torn to pieces!”

³⁴雅各便撕裂衣服，腰间围上麻布，为他儿子悲哀了多日。Then Jacob tore his clothes, put sackcloth around his waist, and mourned for his son many days.

³⁵他的儿女都起来安慰他，他却不肯受安慰，说：“我必悲哀着下阴间，到我儿子那里。”约瑟的父亲就为他哀哭。All his sons and daughters tried to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted. “No,” he said. “I will go down to Sheol mourning for my son.” So his father wept for him.

³⁶米甸人带约瑟到埃及，把他卖给法老的内臣—护卫长波提乏。Meanwhile, the Midianites sold Joseph in Egypt to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh and captain of the guard.

犹大娶妻生子

¹那时，犹大离开他弟兄下去，到一个亚杜兰人名叫希拉的家里去。About that time, Judah left his brothers and settled near a man named Hirah, an Adullamite.

²犹大在那里看见一个迦南人名叫书亚的女儿，就娶她为妻，与她同房，There Judah saw the daughter of a Canaanite man named Shua, and he took her as a wife and slept with her.

³她就怀孕生了儿子，犹大给他起名叫珥。So she conceived and gave birth to a son, and Judah named him Er.

⁴她又怀孕生了儿子，母亲给他起名叫俄南。Again she conceived and gave birth to a son, and she named him Onan.

⁵她复又生了儿子，给他起名叫示拉。她生示拉的时候，犹大正在基悉。Then she gave birth to another son and named him Shelah; it was at Chezib that she gave birth to him.

她玛两次守寡

⁶犹大为长子珥娶妻，名叫她玛。Now Judah acquired a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar.

⁷犹大的长子珥在耶和华眼中看为恶，耶和华就叫他死了。But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; so the LORD put him to death.

⁸犹大对俄南说：“你当与你哥哥的妻子同房，向她尽你为弟的本分，为你哥哥生子立后。”Then Judah said to Onan, “Sleep with your brother’s wife. Perform your duty as her brother-in-law and raise up offspring for your brother.”

⁹俄南知道生子不归自己，所以同房的时候便遗在地，免得给他哥哥留后。But Onan knew that the offspring would not belong to him; so whenever he would sleep with his brother’s wife, he would spill his seed on the ground so that he would not produce offspring for his brother.

¹⁰俄南所做的在耶和华眼中看为恶，耶和华也就叫他死了。What he did was wicked in the sight of the LORD, so He put Onan to death as well.

¹¹犹大心里说：“恐怕示拉也死，像他两个哥哥一样”，就对他儿妇她玛说：“你去，在你父亲家里守寡，等我儿子示拉长大。”她玛就回去，住在她父亲家里。Then Judah said to his daughter-in-law Tamar, “Live as a widow in your father’s house until my son Shelah grows up.” For he thought, “He may die too, like his brothers.” So Tamar went to live in her father’s house.

她玛假扮妓女

¹²过了许久，犹大的妻子书亚的女儿死了。犹大得了安慰，就和他朋友亚杜兰人希拉上亭拿去，到他剪羊毛的人那里。After a long time Judah’s wife, the daughter of Shua, died. When Judah had finished mourning, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite went up to his sheepshearers at Timnah.

¹³有人告诉她玛说：“你的公公上亭拿剪羊毛去了。”When Tamar was told, “Your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep,”

¹⁴她玛见示拉已经长大，还没有娶她为妻，就脱了她作寡妇的衣裳，用帕子蒙着脸，又遮住身体，坐在亭拿路上的伊拿印城门口。she removed her widow’s garments, covered her face with a veil to disguise herself, and sat at the entrance to Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah. For she saw that although Shelah had grown up, she had not been given to him as a wife.

¹⁵犹大看见她，以为是妓女，因为她蒙着脸。When Judah saw her, he thought she was a prostitute because she had covered her face.

¹⁶犹大就转到她那里去，说：“来吧！让我与你同寝。”他原不知道是他的儿妇。她玛说：“你要与我同寝，把什么给我呢？”Not realizing that she was his daughter-in-law, he went over to her and said, “Come now, let me sleep with you.” “What will you give me for sleeping with you?” she inquired.

¹⁷犹大说：“我从羊群里取一只山羊羔，打发人送来给你。”她玛说：“在未送以先，你愿意给我一个当头吗？”“I will send you a young goat from my flock,” Judah answered. But she replied, “Only if you leave me something as a pledge until you send it.”

¹⁸他说：“我给你什么当头呢？”她玛说：“你的印、你的带子，和你手里的杖。”犹大就给了她，与她同寝，她就从犹大怀了孕。“What pledge should I give you?” he asked. She answered, “Your seal and your cord, and the staff in your hand.” So he gave them to her and slept with her, and she became pregnant by him.

¹⁹她玛起来走了，除去帕子，仍旧穿上作寡妇的衣裳。Then Tamar got up and departed. And she removed her veil and put on her widow’s garments again.

²⁰犹大托他朋友亚杜兰人送一只山羊羔去，要从那女人手里取回当头来，却找不着她，Now when Judah sent his friend Hirah the Adullamite with the young goat to collect the items he had left with the woman, he could not find her.

²¹就问那地方的人说：“伊拿印路旁的妓女在哪里？”他们说：“这里并没有妓女。”He asked the men of that place, “Where is the shrine prostitute who was beside the road at Enaim?” “No shrine prostitute has been here,” they answered.

²²他回去见犹大说：“我没有找着她，并且那地方的人说：‘这里没有妓女。’”So Hirah returned to Judah and said, “I could not find her, and furthermore, the men of that place said, ‘No shrine prostitute has been here.’”

²³犹大说：“我把这山羊羔送去了，你竟找不着她。任凭她拿去吧，免得我们被羞辱。”“Let her keep the items,” Judah replied. “Otherwise we will become a laughingstock. After all, I did send her this young goat, but you could not find her.”

犹大承认她玛比他更有义

²⁴约过了三个月，有人告诉犹大说：“你的儿妇她玛作了妓女，且因行淫有了身孕。”犹大说：“拉出她来，把她烧了！”About three months later, Judah was told, “Your daughter-in-law Tamar has prostituted herself, and now she is pregnant.” “Bring her out!” Judah replied. “Let her be burned to death!”

²⁵她玛被拉出来的时候便打发人去见她公公，对他说：“这些东西是谁的，我就是从谁怀的孕。请你认一认，这印和带子并杖都是谁的？”As she was being brought out, Tamar sent a message to her father-in-law: “I am pregnant by the man to whom these items belong.” And she added, “Please examine them. Whose seal and cord and staff are these?”

²⁶犹大承认说：“她比我更有义，因为我没有将她给我的儿子示拉。”从此犹大不再与她同寝了。Judah recognized the items and said, “She is more righteous than I, since I did not give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not have relations with her again.

法勒斯和谢拉出生

²⁷她玛将要生产，不料她腹里是一对双生。When the time came for Tamar to give birth, there were twins in her womb.

²⁸到生产的时候，一个孩子伸出一只手来；收生婆拿红线拴在他手上，说：“这是头生的。”And as she was giving birth, one of them put out his hand; so the midwife took a scarlet thread and tied it around his wrist. “This one came out first,” she announced.

²⁹随后这孩子把手收回去，他哥哥生出来了；收生婆说：“你为什么抢着来呢？”因此给他起名叫法勒斯。But when he pulled his hand back and his brother came out, she said, “You have broken out first!” So he was named Perez.

³⁰后来，他兄弟那手上有红线的也生出来，就给他起名叫谢拉。Then his brother came out with the scarlet thread around his wrist, and he was named Zerah.

医好又瞎又哑的人

²²当下，有人将一个被鬼附着、又瞎又哑的人带到耶稣那里，耶稣就医治他，甚至那哑巴又能说话，又能看见。Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see.

²³众人都惊奇，说：“这不是大卫的子孙吗？”The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”

说耶稣靠别西卜赶鬼

²⁴但法利赛人听见，就说：“这个人赶鬼，无非是靠着鬼王别西卜啊。”But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.”

自相纷争站立不住

²⁵耶稣知道他们的意念，就对他们说：“凡一国自相纷争，就成为荒场；一城一家自相纷争，必站立不住；Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.

²⁶若撒但赶逐撒但，就是自相纷争，他的国怎能站得住呢？If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?

²⁷我若靠着别西卜赶鬼，你们的子弟赶鬼又靠着谁呢？这样，他们就要断定你们的是非。And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.

²⁸我若靠着　神的灵赶鬼，这就是　神的国临到你们了。But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

先捆住壮士

²⁹人怎能进壮士家里，抢夺他的家具呢？除非先捆住那壮士，才可以抢夺他的家财。Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.

³⁰不与我相合的，就是敌我的；不同我收聚的，就是分散的。”He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

亵渎圣灵不得赦免

³¹所以我告诉你们：“人一切的罪和亵渎的话都可得赦免，惟独亵渎圣灵，总不得赦免。Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

³²凡说话干犯人子的，还可得赦免；惟独说话干犯圣灵的，今世来世总不得赦免。”Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.

看果子就知道树

³³“你们或以为树好，果子也好；树坏，果子也坏；因为看果子就可以知道树。Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is known by its fruit.

³⁴毒蛇的种类！你们既是恶人，怎能说出好话来呢？因为心里所充满的，口里就说出来。You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

³⁵善人从他心里所存的善就发出善来；恶人从他心里所存的恶就发出恶来。The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure.

³⁶我又告诉你们，凡人所说的闲话，当审判的日子，必要句句供出来；But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.

³⁷因为要凭你的话定你为义，也要凭你的话定你有罪。”For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

约拿的神迹

³⁸当时，有几个文士和法利赛人对耶稣说：“夫子，我们愿意你显个神迹给我们看。”Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”

³⁹耶稣回答说：“一个邪恶淫乱的世代求看神迹，除了先知约拿的神迹以外，再没有神迹给他们看。Jesus replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

⁴⁰约拿三日三夜在大鱼肚腹中，人子也要这样三日三夜在地里头。For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

⁴¹当审判的时候，尼尼微人要起来定这世代的罪，因为尼尼微人听了约拿所传的就悔改了。看哪，在这里有一人比约拿更大！The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.

⁴²当审判的时候，南方的女王要起来定这世代的罪，因为她从地极而来，要听所罗门的智慧话。看哪，在这里有一人比所罗门更大。”The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.

污鬼回到空屋

⁴³“污鬼离了人身，就在无水之地过来过去，寻求安歇之处，却寻不着。When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.

⁴⁴于是说：‘我要回到我所出来的屋里去。’到了，就看见里面空闲，打扫干净，修饰好了，Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order.

⁴⁵便去另带了七个比自己更恶的鬼来，都进去住在那里。那人末后的景况比先前更不好了。这邪恶的世代也要如此。”Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there. And the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”

谁是我的母亲、我的弟兄

⁴⁶耶稣还对众人说话的时候，不料他母亲和他弟兄站在外边，要与他说话。While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.

⁴⁷有人告诉他说：“看哪，你母亲和你弟兄站在外边，要与你说话。”Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”

⁴⁸他却回答那人说：“谁是我的母亲？谁是我的弟兄？”But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”

⁴⁹就伸手指着门徒，说：“看哪，我的母亲，我的弟兄。Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers.

⁵⁰凡遵行我天父旨意的人，就是我的弟兄姊妹和母亲了。”For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
