1我又看見另有一位大力的天使從天降下，披著雲彩，頭上有，臉面像日頭，兩腳像。Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head. His face was like the sun, and his legs were like pillars of fire.
2他手裡拿著，是展開的。他右腳踏海，左腳踏地，He held in his hand a small scroll, which lay open. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.
3大聲呼喊，好像獅子吼叫。呼喊完了，就有發聲。Then he cried out in a loud voice like the roar of a lion. And when he cried out, the seven thunders sounded their voices.
4七雷發聲之後，我正要寫出來，就聽見從天上有聲音說：「七雷所說的，你要，不可寫出來。」When the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to put it in writing. But I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.”
5我所看見的那踏海踏地的天使向天舉起右手來，Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven.
6指著那創造天和天上之物，地和地上之物，海和海中之物，直活到永永遠遠的，起誓說：「（或譯：不再耽延了）。」And he swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it: “There will be no more delay!
7但在第七位天使吹號發聲的時候， 神的就成全了，正如 神所傳給他僕人眾先知的佳音。But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he begins to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfilled, just as He proclaimed to His servants the prophets.”
8我先前從天上所聽見的那聲音又吩咐我說：「你去，把那踏海踏地之天使手中展開的小書卷取過來。」Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the small scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel standing on the sea and on the land.”
9我就走到天使那裡，對他說：「請你把小書卷給我。」他對我說：「你拿著吃盡了，便叫你肚子，然而在你口中要甜如蜜。」And I went to the angel and said, “Give me the small scroll.” “Take it and eat it,” he said. “It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.”
10我從天使手中把小書卷接過來，吃盡了，在我口中果然甜如蜜，吃了以後，肚子覺得發苦了。So I took the small scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach turned bitter.
11天使（原文是他們）對我說：「你必指著多民、多國、、多王再說預言。」And they told me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.”
