1（大衛的詩，交與伶長。）貧窮的有福了！他遭難的日子，耶和華必搭救他。For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. Blessed is the one who cares for the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of trouble.
2耶和華必保全他，使他存活；他必在地上享福。求你不要把他交給仇敵，遂其所願。The LORD will protect and preserve him; He will bless him in the land and refuse to give him over to the will of his foes.
3他病重在榻，耶和華必扶持他；他在病中，你必給他鋪床。The LORD will sustain him on his bed of illness and restore him from his bed of sickness.
4我曾說：耶和華啊，求你憐恤我，醫治我！因為我得罪了你。I said, “O LORD, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against You.”
5我的仇敵用惡言議論我說：他幾時死，他的名才滅亡呢？My enemies say with malice: “When will he die and be forgotten?”
6他來看我就說假話；他心存奸惡，走到外邊才說出來。My visitor speaks falsehood; he gathers slander in his heart; he goes out and spreads it abroad.
7一切恨我的，都交頭接耳地議論我；他們設計要害我。All who hate me whisper against me; they imagine the worst for me:
8他們說：有貼在他身上；他已躺臥，必不能再起來。“A vile disease has been poured into him; he will never get up from where he lies!”
9連我知己的朋友，我所倚靠、也。Even my close friend whom I trusted, the one who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.
10耶和華啊，求你憐恤我，使我起來，好報復他們！But You, O LORD, be gracious to me and raise me up, that I may repay them.
11因我的仇敵不得向我誇勝，我從此便知道你喜愛我。By this I know that You delight in me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.
12你因我純正就扶持我，使我永遠站在你的面前。In my integrity You uphold me and set me in Your presence forever.
13耶和華─以色列的 神是應當稱頌的，從亙古直到永遠。！阿們！Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
