1一到早晨，祭司長和長老、文士、全的人大家商議，就把耶穌捆綁，交給。Early in the morning, the chief priests, elders, scribes, and the whole Sanhedrin devised a plan. They bound Jesus, led Him away, and handed Him over to Pilate.
2彼拉多問他說：「你是嗎？」耶穌回答說：「。」So Pilate questioned Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied.
3祭司長告他許多的事。And the chief priests began to accuse Him of many things.
4彼拉多又問他說：「你看，他們告你這麼多的事，你甚麼都不回答嗎？」Then Pilate questioned Him again, “Have You no answer? Look how many charges they are bringing against You!”
5耶穌仍不回答，以致彼拉多覺得。But to Pilate’s amazement, Jesus made no further reply.
6每逢這節期，巡撫照眾人所求的，釋放一個囚犯給他們。Now it was Pilate’s custom at the feast to release to the people a prisoner of their choosing.
7有一個人名叫，和的人一同捆綁。他們做亂的時候，曾殺過人。And a man named Barabbas was imprisoned with the rebels who had committed murder during the insurrection.
8眾人上去求巡撫，照給他們辦。So the crowd went up and began asking Pilate to keep his custom.
9彼拉多說：「你們要我釋放猶太人的王給你們嗎？」“Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” Pilate asked.
10他原曉得，祭司長是因為嫉妒才把耶穌解了來。For he knew it was out of envy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over.
11只是祭司長眾人，寧可釋放巴拉巴給他們。But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release Barabbas to them instead.
12彼拉多又說：「那麼樣，你們所稱為猶太人的王，我怎麼辦他呢？」So Pilate asked them again, “What then do you want me to do with the One you call the King of the Jews?”
13他們又喊著說：「把他！」And they shouted back, “Crucify Him!”
14彼拉多說：「為甚麼呢？他做了甚麼惡事呢？」他們便極力地喊著說：「把他釘十字架！」“Why?” asked Pilate. “What evil has He done?” But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify Him!”
15彼拉多要，就釋放巴拉巴給他們，將耶穌了，交給人釘十字架。And wishing to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed Him over to be crucified.
16兵丁把耶穌帶進院裡，叫齊了。Then the soldiers led Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called the whole company together.
17他們給他穿上，又用荊棘編做冠冕給他戴上，They dressed Him in a purple robe, twisted together a crown of thorns, and set it on His head.
18就慶賀他說：「，猶太人的王啊！」And they began to salute Him: “Hail, King of the Jews!”
19又拿一根葦子打他的頭，吐唾沫在他臉上，屈膝拜他。They kept striking His head with a staff and spitting on Him. And they knelt down and bowed before Him.
20戲弄完了，就給他脫了紫袍，仍穿上他自己的衣服，帶他出去，要釘十字架。After they had mocked Him, they removed the purple robe and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him out to crucify Him.
21有一個西門，就是亞歷山大和魯孚的父親，從鄉下來，經過那地方，他們就他同去，好背著耶穌的十字架。Now Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and the soldiers forced him to carry the cross of Jesus.
22他們帶耶穌到了地方（各各他翻出來就是髑髏地），They brought Jesus to a place called Golgotha, which means The Place of the Skull.
23拿給耶穌，他卻不受。There they offered Him wine mixed with myrrh, but He did not take it.
24於是將他釘在十字架上，分他的衣服，看是誰得甚麼。And they crucified Him. They also divided His garments by casting lots to decide what each of them would take.
25釘他在十字架上是的時候。It was the third hour when they crucified Him.
26在上面有他的罪狀，寫的是：「猶太人的王。」And the charge inscribed against Him read: THE KING OF THE JEWS.
27他們又把兩個強盜和他同釘十字架，一個在右邊，一個在左邊。（有古卷加：Along with Jesus, they crucified two robbers, one on His right and one on His left.
28這就應了經上的話說：他被列在罪犯之中。）（BSB 英譯本沒有這一節）
29從那裡經過的人辱罵他，搖著頭說：「咳！你這拆毀聖殿、三日又建造起來的，And those who passed by heaped abuse on Him, shaking their heads and saying, “Aha! You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,
30可以救自己，從十字架上下來吧！」come down from the cross and save Yourself!”
31祭司長和文士也是這樣戲弄他，彼此說：「他救了別人，不能救自己。In the same way, the chief priests and scribes mocked Him among themselves, saying, “He saved others, but He cannot save Himself!
32以色列的王基督，現在可以從十字架上下來，叫我們看見，就信了。」那和他同釘的人也是譏誚他。Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe!” And even those who were crucified with Him berated Him.
33從到，遍地都黑暗了。From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land.
34申初的時候，耶穌大聲喊著說：「以羅伊！以羅伊！？」（翻出來就是：我的 神！我的 神！為甚麼離棄我？）At the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
35旁邊站著的人，有的聽見就說：「看哪，他叫以利亞呢！」When some of those standing nearby heard this, they said, “Behold, He is calling Elijah.”
36有一個人跑去，把海絨蘸滿了醋，綁在葦子上，送給他喝，說：「且等著，看以利亞來不來把他取下。」And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine. He put it on a reed and held it up for Jesus to drink, saying, “Leave Him alone. Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.”
37耶穌大聲喊叫，氣就斷了。But Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed His last.
38殿裡的從上到下裂為兩半。And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
39對面站著的看見耶穌這樣喊叫（有古卷沒有喊叫二字）斷氣，就說：「這人真是 神的兒子！」When the centurion standing there in front of Jesus saw how He had breathed His last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”
40還有些婦女遠遠地觀看；內中有抹大拉的馬利亞，又有小雅各和約西的母親馬利亞，並有撒羅米，And there were also women watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.
41就是耶穌在加利利的時候，跟隨他、服事他的那些人，還有同耶穌上耶路撒冷的好些婦女在那裡觀看。These women had followed Jesus and ministered to Him while He was in Galilee, and there were many other women who had come up to Jerusalem with Him.
42到了晚上，因為這是，就是安息日的前一日，Now it was already evening. Since it was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath),
43有的約瑟前來，他是尊貴的議士，也是等候 神國的。他放膽進去見彼拉多，求耶穌的身體；Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent Council member who himself was waiting for the kingdom of God, boldly went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus.
44彼拉多詫異耶穌已經死了，便叫百夫長來，問他耶穌死了久不久。Pilate was surprised to hear that Jesus was already dead, so he summoned the centurion to ask if this was so.
45既從百夫長得知實情，就把耶穌的屍首賜給約瑟。When Pilate had confirmed it with the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.
46約瑟買了細麻布，把耶穌取下來，用細麻布裹好，安放在磐石中鑿出來的墳墓裡，又滾過一塊石頭來擋住墓門。So Joseph bought a linen cloth, took down the body of Jesus, wrapped it in the cloth, and placed it in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance to the tomb.
47抹大拉的馬利亞和約西的母親馬利亞都看見安放他的地方。Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where His body was placed.
