1耶和華對摩西說：Then the LORD said to Moses,
2「你曉諭以色列人說：若有婦人懷孕生男孩，她就不潔淨七天，像在月經污穢的日子不潔淨一樣。“Say to the Israelites, ‘A woman who becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son will be unclean for seven days, as she is during the days of her menstruation.
3第八天，要給嬰孩行。And on the eighth day the flesh of the boy’s foreskin is to be circumcised.
4婦人在產血不潔之中，要三十三天。她潔淨的日子未滿，不可摸聖物，也不可進入聖所。The woman shall continue in purification from her bleeding for thirty-three days. She must not touch anything sacred or go into the sanctuary until the days of her purification are complete.
5她若生女孩，就不潔淨兩個七天，像污穢的時候一樣，要在產血不潔之中，家居六十六天。If, however, she gives birth to a daughter, the woman will be unclean for two weeks as she is during her menstruation. Then she must continue in purification from her bleeding for sixty-six days.
6「滿了潔淨的日子，無論是為男孩是為女孩，她要把一歲的羊羔為燔祭，一隻雛鴿或是一隻斑鳩為贖罪祭，帶到會幕門口交給祭司。When the days of her purification are complete, whether for a son or for a daughter, she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting a year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a turtledove for a sin offering.
7祭司要獻在耶和華面前，為她贖罪，她的就潔淨了。這條例是為生育的婦人，無論是生男生女。And the priest will present them before the LORD and make atonement for her; and she shall be ceremonially cleansed from her flow of blood. This is the law for a woman giving birth, whether to a male or to a female.
8她的若不夠獻一隻羊羔，她就要取，一隻為燔祭，一隻為贖罪祭。祭司要為她贖罪，她就潔淨了。」But if she cannot afford a lamb, she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. Then the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.’”
