1逾越節前六日，耶穌來到伯大尼，就是他叫拉撒路從死裡復活之處。Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, the hometown of Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.
2有人在那裡給耶穌預備筵席；馬大伺候，拉撒路也在那同耶穌坐席的人中。So they hosted a dinner for Jesus there. Martha served, and Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with Him.
3馬利亞就拿著極貴的，抹耶穌的腳，又用自己頭髮去擦，屋裡就滿了膏的香氣。Then Mary took about a pint of expensive perfume, made of pure nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet and wiped them with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
4有一個門徒，就是那將要賣耶穌的加略人猶大，But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was going to betray Him, asked,
5說：「這香膏為甚麼不賣窮人呢？」“Why wasn’t this perfume sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?”
6他說這話，並不是掛念窮人，乃因他是個賊，又帶著，常取其中所存的。Judas did not say this because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief. As keeper of the money bag, he used to take from what was put into it.
7耶穌說：「由她吧！她是為我安葬之日存留的。“Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “She has kept this perfume in preparation for the day of My burial.
8因為常有窮人和你們同在，只是你們不常有我。」The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me.”
9有許多猶太人知道耶穌在那裡，就來了，不但是為耶穌的緣故，也是要看他從死裡所復活的拉撒路。Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews learned that Jesus was there. And they came not only because of Him, but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.
10但祭司長商議連拉撒路也要殺了；So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well,
11因有好些猶太人為拉撒路的緣故，回去信了耶穌。for on account of him many of the Jews were deserting them and believing in Jesus.
12第二天，有許多上來過節的人聽見耶穌將到耶路撒冷，The next day the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.
13就拿著出去迎接他，喊著說：！奉主名來的以色列王是應當稱頌的！They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the King of Israel!”
14耶穌得了一個驢駒，就騎上，如經上所記的說：Finding a young donkey, Jesus sat on it, as it is written:
15錫安的民（原文是女子）哪，不要懼怕！你的王騎著來了。“Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion. See, your King is coming, seated on the colt of a donkey.”
16這些事門徒起先不明白，等到耶穌得了榮耀以後才想起這話是指著他寫的，並且眾人果然向他這樣行了。At first His disciples did not understand these things, but after Jesus was glorified they remembered what had been done to Him, and they realized that these very things had also been written about Him.
17當耶穌呼喚拉撒路，叫他從死復活出墳墓的時候，同耶穌在那裡的眾人就作見證。Meanwhile, many people who had been with Jesus when He called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to testify.
18眾人因聽見耶穌行了這神蹟，就去迎接他。That is also why the crowd went out to meet Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.
19法利賽人彼此說：「看哪，你們是徒勞無益，世人都隨從他去了。」Then the Pharisees said to one another, “You can see that this is doing you no good. Look how the whole world has gone after Him!”
20那時，上來過節禮拜的人中，有幾個。Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast.
21他們來見加利利伯賽大的腓力，求他說：「先生，我們願意見耶穌。」They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”
22腓力去告訴安得烈，安得烈同腓力去告訴耶穌。Philip relayed this appeal to Andrew, and both of them went and told Jesus.
23耶穌說：「人子得榮耀的時候到了。But Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
24我實實在在地告訴你們，一粒麥子不落在地裡死了，仍舊是一粒，若是死了，就結出許多子粒來。Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a seed. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
25愛惜自己生命的，就失喪生命；在這世上的，就要保守生命到永生。Whoever loves his life will lose it, but whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
26若有人服事我，就當跟從我；我在哪裡，服事我的人也要在那裡；若有人服事我，我父必尊重他。」If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will be as well. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.
27「我現在心裡憂愁，我說甚麼才好呢？父啊，救我脫離這時候；但我原是為這時候來的。Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? No, it is for this purpose that I have come to this hour.
28父啊，願你榮耀你的名！」當時就有聲音從天上來，說：「我已經榮耀了我的名，還要再榮耀。」Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”
29站在旁邊的眾人聽見，就說：「打雷了。」還有人說：「有天使對他說話。」The crowd standing there heard it and said that it had thundered. Others said that an angel had spoken to Him.
30耶穌說：「這聲音不是為我，是為你們來的。In response, Jesus said, “This voice was not for My benefit, but yours.
31現在這世界受審判，要被趕出去。Now judgment is upon this world; now the prince of this world will be cast out.
32我若從地上被舉起來，就要萬人來歸我。」And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to Myself.”
33耶穌這話原是指著自己將要怎樣死說的。He said this to indicate the kind of death He was going to die.
34眾人回答說：「我們聽見律法上有話說，基督是永存的，你怎麼說『人子必須被舉起來』呢？這人子是誰呢？」The crowd replied, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever. So how can You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”
35耶穌對他們說：「光在你們中間還有不多的時候，應當趁著有光行走，免得黑暗臨到你們；那在黑暗裡行走的，不知道往何處去。Then Jesus told them, “For a little while longer, the Light will be among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.
36你們應當趁著有光，信從這光，使你們成為。」耶穌說了這話，就離開他們隱藏了。While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of light.” After Jesus had spoken these things, He went away and was hidden from them.
37他雖然在他們面前行了許多，他們還是不信他。Although Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still did not believe in Him.
38這是要應驗先知的話，說：主啊，我們所傳的有誰信呢？主的向誰顯露呢？This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: “Lord, who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
39他們所以不能信，因為以賽亞又說：For this reason they were unable to believe. For again, Isaiah says:
40主叫他們瞎了眼，，免得他們眼睛看見，心裡明白，回轉過來，我就醫治他們。“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they cannot see with their eyes, and understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.”
41以賽亞因為看見他的榮耀，就指著他說這話。Isaiah said these things because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about Him.
42雖然如此，中卻有好些信他的，只因法利賽人的緣故，就不，恐怕被趕出。Nevertheless, many of the leaders believed in Him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue.
43這是因他們過於愛 神的榮耀。For they loved praise from men more than praise from God.
44耶穌大聲說：「信我的，不是信我，乃是信那差我來的。Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in Me does not believe in Me alone, but in the One who sent Me.
45人看見我，就是看見那差我來的。And whoever sees Me sees the One who sent Me.
46我到世上來，乃是光，叫凡信我的，不住在黑暗裡。I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in Me should remain in darkness.
47若有人聽見我的話不遵守，我不審判他。我來本不是要審判世界，乃是要拯救世界。As for anyone who hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
48我、不領受我話的人，有審判他的─就是我所講的道在要審判他。There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.
49因為我沒有憑著自己講，惟有差我來的父已經給我命令，叫我說甚麼，講甚麼。I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it.
50我也知道他的命令就是永生。故此，我所講的話正是照著父對我所說的。」And I know that His command leads to eternal life. So I speak exactly what the Father has told Me to say.”
