耶利米書 26

¹猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬登基的時候，有這話從耶和華臨到耶利米說：At the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came from the LORD:

²「耶和華如此說：你站在耶和華殿的院內，對猶大眾城邑的人，就是到耶和華殿來禮拜的，說我所吩咐你的一切話，一字不可刪減。“This is what the LORD says: Stand in the courtyard of the house of the LORD and speak all the words I have commanded you to speak to all the cities of Judah who come to worship there. Do not omit a word.

³或者他們肯聽從，各人回頭離開惡道，使我後悔不將我因他們所行的惡，想要施行的災禍降與他們。Perhaps they will listen and turn—each from his evil way of life—so that I may relent of the disaster I am planning to bring upon them because of the evil of their deeds.

⁴你要對他們說，耶和華如此說：『你們若不聽從我，不遵行我設立在你們面前的律法，And you are to tell them that this is what the LORD says: ‘If you do not listen to Me and walk in My law, which I have set before you,

⁵不聽我從早起來差遣到你們那裡去我僕人眾先知的話（你們還是沒有聽從），and if you do not listen to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I have sent you again and again even though you did not listen,

⁶我就必使這殿如示羅，使這城為地上萬國所咒詛的。』」then I will make this house like Shiloh, and I will make this city an object of cursing among all the nations of the earth.’”

⁷耶利米在耶和華殿中說的這些話，祭司、先知與眾民都聽見了。Now the priests and prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the LORD,

⁸耶利米說完了耶和華所吩咐他對眾人說的一切話，祭司、先知與眾民都來抓住他，說：「你必要死！and as soon as he had finished telling all the people everything the LORD had commanded him to say, the priests and prophets and all the people seized him, shouting, “You must surely die!

⁹你為何託耶和華的名預言，說這殿必如示羅，這城必變為荒場無人居住呢？」於是眾民都在耶和華的殿中聚集到耶利米那裡。How dare you prophesy in the name of the LORD that this house will become like Shiloh and this city will be desolate and deserted!” And all the people assembled against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.

¹⁰猶大的首領聽見這事，就從王宮上到耶和華的殿，坐在耶和華殿的新門口。When the officials of Judah heard these things, they went up from the king’s palace to the house of the LORD and sat there at the entrance of the New Gate.

¹¹祭司、先知對首領和眾民說：「這人是該死的；因為他說預言攻擊這城，正如你們親耳所聽見的。」Then the priests and prophets said to the officials and all the people, “This man is worthy of death, for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your own ears!”

¹²耶利米就對眾首領和眾民說：「耶和華差遣我預言，攻擊這殿和這城，說你們所聽見的這一切話。But Jeremiah said to all the officials and all the people, “The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.

¹³現在要改正你們的行動作為，聽從耶和華─你們　神的話，他就必後悔，不將所說的災禍降與你們。So now, correct your ways and deeds, and obey the voice of the LORD your God, so that He might relent of the disaster He has pronounced against you.

¹⁴至於我，我在你們手中，你們眼看何為善，何為正，就那樣待我吧！As for me, here I am in your hands; do to me what you think is good and right.

¹⁵但你們要確實地知道，若把我治死，就使無辜人的血歸到你們和這城，並其中的居民了；因為耶和華實在差遣我到你們這裡來，將這一切話傳與你們耳中。」But know for certain that if you put me to death, you will bring innocent blood upon yourselves, upon this city, and upon its residents; for truly the LORD has sent me to speak all these words in your hearing.”

¹⁶首領和眾民就對祭司、先知說：「這人是不該死的，因為他是奉耶和華─我們　神的名向我們說話。」Then the officials and all the people told the priests and prophets, “This man is not worthy of death, for he has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God!”

¹⁷國中的長老就有幾個人起來，對聚會的眾民說：Some of the elders of the land stood up and said to the whole assembly of the people,

¹⁸「當猶大王希西家的日子，有摩利沙人彌迦對猶大眾人預言說：萬軍之耶和華如此說：錫安必被耕種像一塊田；耶路撒冷必變為亂堆；這殿的山必像叢林的高處。“Micah the Moreshite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah and told all the people of Judah that this is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble, and the temple mount a wooded ridge.’

¹⁹猶大王希西家和猶大眾人豈是把他治死呢？希西家豈不是敬畏耶和華、懇求他的恩嗎？耶和華就後悔，不把自己所說的災禍降與他們。若治死這人，我們就作了大惡，自害己命。」Did Hezekiah king of Judah or anyone else in Judah put him to death? Did Hezekiah not fear the LORD and seek His favor, and did not the LORD relent of the disaster He had pronounced against them? But we are about to bring great harm on ourselves!”

²⁰（又有一個人奉耶和華的名說預言，是基列‧耶琳人示瑪雅的兒子烏利亞，他照耶利米的一切話說預言，攻擊這城和這地。Now there was another man prophesying in the name of the LORD, Uriah son of Shemaiah from Kiriath-jearim. He prophesied against this city and against this land the same things that Jeremiah did.

²¹約雅敬王和他眾勇士、眾首領聽見了烏利亞的話，王就想要把他治死。烏利亞聽見就懼怕，逃往埃及去了。King Jehoiakim and all his mighty men and officials heard his words, and the king sought to put him to death. But when Uriah found out about it, he fled in fear and went to Egypt.

²²約雅敬王便打發亞革波的兒子以利拿單，帶領幾個人往埃及去。Then King Jehoiakim sent men to Egypt: Elnathan son of Achbor along with some other men.

²³他們就從埃及將烏利亞帶出來，送到約雅敬王那裡；王用刀殺了他，把他的屍首拋在平民的墳地中。）They brought Uriah out of Egypt and took him to King Jehoiakim, who had him put to the sword and his body thrown into the burial place of the common people.

²⁴然而，沙番的兒子亞希甘保護耶利米，不交在百姓的手中治死他。Nevertheless, Ahikam son of Shaphan supported Jeremiah, so he was not handed over to the people to be put to death.
