1當烏西雅王崩的那年，我見主坐在高高的寶座上。他的衣裳垂下，遮滿聖殿。In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted; and the train of His robe filled the temple.
2其上有侍立，各有六個翅膀：用兩個翅膀遮臉，兩個翅膀遮腳，兩個翅膀飛翔；Above Him stood seraphim, each having six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.
3彼此呼喊說：聖哉！聖哉！聖哉！萬軍之耶和華；他的榮光充滿全地！And they were calling out to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts; all the earth is full of His glory.”
4因呼喊者的聲音，門檻的根基震動，殿充滿了煙雲。At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook, and the temple was filled with smoke.
5那時我說：「禍哉！我滅亡了！因為我是嘴唇不潔的人，又住在嘴唇不潔的民中，又因我眼見大君王─萬軍之耶和華。」Then I said: “Woe is me, for I am ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips dwelling among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Hosts.”
6有一撒拉弗飛到我跟前，手裡拿著紅炭，是用從壇上取下來的，Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a glowing coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.
7將炭沾我的口，說：「看哪，這炭沾了你的嘴，你的罪孽便除掉，你的罪惡就赦免了。」And with it he touched my mouth and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your iniquity is removed and your sin is atoned for.”
8我又聽見主的聲音說：「我可以差遣誰呢？誰肯為我們去呢？」我說：「我在這裡，請差遣我！」Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: “Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us?” And I said: “Here am I. Send me!”
9他說：「你去告訴這百姓說：你們聽是要聽見，卻不明白；看是要看見，卻不曉得。And He replied: “Go and tell this people, ‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’
10要使這百姓，耳朵發沉，眼睛昏迷；恐怕眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，便得醫治。」Make the hearts of this people calloused; deafen their ears and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”
11我就說：「主啊，這到幾時為止呢？」他說：直到城邑荒涼，無人居住，房屋空閒無人，地土極其荒涼。Then I asked: “How long, O Lord?” And He replied: “Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left unoccupied and the land is desolate and ravaged,
12並且耶和華將人遷到遠方，在這境內撇下的地土很多。until the LORD has driven men far away and the land is utterly forsaken.
13境內剩下的人若還有十分之一，也必被吞滅，像栗樹、橡樹雖被砍伐，樹墩子卻仍存留。這聖潔的種類在國中也是如此。And though a tenth remains in the land, it will be burned again. As the terebinth and oak leave stumps when felled, so the holy seed will be a stump in the land.”
