1神賜福給挪亞和他的兒子，對他們說：「你們要生養眾多，遍滿了地。And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.
2凡地上的走獸和空中的飛鳥都必驚恐，懼怕你們，連地上一切的昆蟲並海裡一切的魚都交付你們的手。The fear and dread of you will fall on every living creature on the earth, every bird of the air, every creature that crawls on the ground, and all the fish of the sea. They are delivered into your hand.
3凡活著的動物都可以作你們的食物。這一切我都賜給你們，如同菜蔬一樣。Everything that lives and moves will be food for you; just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you all things.
4惟獨，那就是牠的生命，你們不可吃。But you must not eat meat with its lifeblood still in it.
5流你們血、害你們命的，無論是獸是人，我必，就是向各人的弟兄也是如此。And surely I will require the life of any man or beast by whose hand your lifeblood is shed. I will demand an accounting from anyone who takes the life of his fellow man:
6凡流人血的，他的血也必被人所流，因為 神造人是照自己的形像造的。Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man his blood will be shed; for in His own image God has made mankind.
7你們要生養眾多，在地上昌盛繁茂。」But as for you, be fruitful and multiply; spread out across the earth and multiply upon it.”
8神曉諭挪亞和他的兒子說：Then God said to Noah and his sons with him,
9「我與你們和你們的後裔立約，“Behold, I now establish My covenant with you and your descendants after you,
10並與你們這裡的一切活物─就是飛鳥、牲畜、走獸，凡從方舟裡出來的活物─立約。and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth—every living thing that came out of the ark.
11我與你們立約，凡有血肉的，不再被洪水滅絕，也不再有洪水毀壞地了。」And I establish My covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
12神說：「我與你們並你們這裡的各樣活物所立的永約是有記號的。And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:
13我把放在雲彩中，這就可作我與地立約的記號了。I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
14我使雲彩蓋地的時候，必有虹現在雲彩中，Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,
15我便記念我與你們和各樣有血肉的活物所立的約，水就再不氾濫、毀壞一切有血肉的物了。I will remember My covenant between Me and you and every living creature of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
16虹必現在雲彩中，我看見，就要記念我與地上各樣有血肉的活物所立的。」And whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind that is on the earth.”
17神對挪亞說：「這就是我與地上一切有血肉之物立約的記號了。」So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between Me and every creature on the earth.”
18出方舟挪亞的兒子就是閃、含、雅弗。含是的父親。The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham was the father of Canaan.
19這是挪亞的三個兒子，他們的後裔分散在全地。These three were the sons of Noah, and from them the whole earth was populated.
20挪亞作起農夫來，栽了一個葡萄園。Now Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard.
21他喝了園中的酒便醉了，在帳棚裡赤著身子。But when he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and uncovered himself inside his tent.
22迦南的父親含看見他父親赤身，就到外邊告訴他兩個弟兄。And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father’s nakedness and told his two brothers outside.
23於是閃和雅弗拿件衣服搭在肩上，進去，給他父親蓋上；他們背著臉就看不見父親的赤身。Then Shem and Japheth took a garment and placed it across their shoulders, and walking backward, they covered their father’s nakedness. Their faces were turned away so that they did not see their father’s nakedness.
24挪亞醒了酒，知道小兒子向他所做的事，When Noah awoke from his drunkenness and learned what his youngest son had done to him,
25就說：迦南當受咒詛，必給他弟兄作奴僕的奴僕；he said, “Cursed be Canaan! A servant of servants shall he be to his brothers.”
26又說：耶和華─閃的 神是應當稱頌的！願迦南作閃的奴僕。He also declared: “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the servant of Shem.
27願 神使雅弗，使他住在閃的帳棚裡；又願迦南作他的奴僕。May God expand the territory of Japheth; may he dwell in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be his servant.”
28洪水以後，挪亞又活了三百五十年。After the flood, Noah lived 350 years.
29挪亞共活了九百五十歲就死了。So Noah lived a total of 950 years, and then he died.
