1摩西從摩押平原登尼波山，上了那與耶利哥相對的山頂。耶和華把基列全地直到但，Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which faces Jericho. And the LORD showed him the whole land—from Gilead as far as Dan,
2拿弗他利全地，以法蓮、瑪拿西的地，猶大全地直到西海，all of Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the Western Sea,
3南地和耶利哥的平原，直到瑣珥，都指給他看。the Negev, and the region from the Valley of Jericho (the City of Palms) all the way to Zoar.
4耶和華對他說：「這就是我向亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許之地，說：『我必將這地賜給你的後裔。』現在我使你眼睛看見了，你卻不得過到那裡去。」And the LORD said to him, “This is the land that I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you will not cross into it.”
5於是，耶和華的僕人摩西死在摩押地，正如耶和華所說的。So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, as the LORD had said.
6耶和華將他埋葬在摩押地、伯‧毘珥對面的谷中，只是到今日沒有人知道他的墳墓。And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab facing Beth-peor, and no one to this day knows the location of his grave.
7摩西死的時候年一百二十歲；，精神沒有衰敗。Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak, and his vitality had not diminished.
8以色列人在摩押平原為摩西哀哭了三十日，為摩西居喪哀哭的日子就滿了。The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the time of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end.
9嫩的兒子約書亞；因為摩西曾按手在他頭上，就被智慧的靈充滿，以色列人便聽從他，照著耶和華吩咐摩西的行了。Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites obeyed him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses.
10以後以色列中再沒有興起先知像摩西的。他是耶和華面對面所認識的。Since that time, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face—
11耶和華打發他在埃及地向法老和他的一切臣僕，並他的全地，行各樣神蹟奇事，no prophet who did all the signs and wonders that the LORD sent Moses to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all his officials and all his land,
12又在以色列眾人眼前顯大能的手，行一切大而可畏的事。and no prophet who performed all the mighty acts of power and awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
