1我看見主站在祭壇旁邊；他說：你要擊打柱頂，使門檻震動，打碎柱頂，落在眾人頭上；所剩下的人，我必用刀殺戮，無一人能逃避，無一人能逃脫。I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and He said: “Strike the tops of the pillars so that the thresholds shake. Topple them on the heads of all the people, and I will kill the rest with the sword. None of those who flee will get away; none of the fugitives will escape.
2他們雖然挖透陰間，我的手必取出他們來；雖然爬上天去，我必拿下他們來；Though they dig down to Sheol, from there My hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, from there I will pull them down.
3雖然藏在迦密山頂，我必搜尋，捉出他們來；雖然從我眼前藏在海底，我必命蛇咬他們；Though they hide themselves atop Carmel, there I will track them and seize them; and though they hide from Me at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent to bite them.
4雖被仇敵擄去，我必命刀劍殺戮他們；我必向他們定住眼目，降禍不降福。Though they are driven by their enemies into captivity, there I will command the sword to slay them. I will fix My eyes upon them for harm and not for good.”
5主─萬軍之耶和華摸地，地就消化，凡住在地上的都必悲哀。地必全然像尼羅河漲起，如同埃及河落下。The Lord GOD of Hosts, He who touches the earth and it melts, and all its dwellers mourn—all the land rises like the Nile, then sinks like the river of Egypt—
6那在天上建造樓閣、在地上安定穹蒼、命海水澆在地上的─耶和華是他的名。He builds His upper rooms in the heavens and founds His vault upon the earth. He summons the waters of the sea and pours them over the face of the earth. The LORD is His name.
7耶和華說：以色列人哪，我豈不看你們如嗎？我豈不是領以色列人出埃及地，領非利士人出，領亞蘭人出吉珥嗎？“Are you not like the Cushites to Me, O children of Israel?” declares the LORD. “Did I not bring Israel up from the land of Egypt, the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Arameans from Kir?
8主耶和華的眼目察看這有罪的國，必將這國從地上滅絕，卻不將雅各家滅絕淨盡。這是耶和華說的。Surely the eyes of the Lord GOD are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from the face of the earth. Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” declares the LORD.
9我必出令，將以色列家分散在列國中，好像用篩穀，連一粒也不落在地上。“For surely I will give the command, and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations as grain is sifted in a sieve; but not a pebble will reach the ground.
10我民中的一切罪人說：災禍必追不上我們，也迎不著我們。他們必死在刀下。All the sinners among My people will die by the sword—all those who say, ‘Disaster will never draw near or confront us.’”
11到那日，我必建立，堵住其中的破口，把那破壞的建立起來，重新修造，像古時一樣，“In that day I will restore the fallen tent of David. I will repair its gaps, restore its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old,
12使以色列人得以東所餘剩的和所有稱為我名下的國。此乃行這事的耶和華說的。that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear My name,” declares the LORD, who will do this.
13耶和華說：日子將到，耕種的必接續收割的；踹葡萄的必接續撒種的；大山要滴下甜酒；小山都必流奶（原文是消化，見約珥三章十八節）。“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes, the sower of seed. The mountains will drip with sweet wine, with which all the hills will flow.
14我必使我民以色列被擄的歸回；他們必重修荒廢的城邑居住，栽種葡萄園，喝其中所出的酒，修造果木園，吃其中的果子。I will restore My people Israel from captivity; they will rebuild and inhabit the ruined cities. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit.
15我要將他們栽於本地，他們不再從我所賜給他們的地上拔出來。這是耶和華─你的 神說的。I will firmly plant them in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land that I have given them,” says the LORD your God.
