1以色列人哪，你們全家是我從埃及地領上來的，當聽耶和華攻擊你們的話：Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up out of the land of Egypt:
2在地上萬族中，我只認識你們；因此，我必追討你們的一切罪孽。“Only you have I known from all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.”
3二人若不同心，豈能同行呢？Can two walk together without agreeing where to go?
4獅子若非抓食，豈能在林中咆哮呢？少壯獅子若無所得，豈能從洞中發聲呢？Does a lion roar in the forest when he has no prey? Does a young lion growl in his den if he has caught nothing?
5若沒有，雀鳥豈能陷在網羅裡呢？網羅若無所得，豈能從地上翻起呢？Does a bird land in a snare where no bait has been set? Does a trap spring from the ground when it has nothing to catch?
6城中若吹角，百姓豈不驚恐呢？災禍若臨到一城，豈非耶和華所降的嗎？If a ram’s horn sounds in a city, do the people not tremble? If calamity comes to a city, has not the LORD caused it?
7主耶和華若不將指示他的僕人─眾先知，就一無所行。Surely the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.
8獅子吼叫，誰不懼怕呢？主耶和華發命，誰能不說預言呢？The lion has roared—who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken—who will not prophesy?
9要在亞實突的宮殿中和埃及地的宮殿裡傳揚說：你們要聚集在撒馬利亞的山上，就看見城中有何等大的擾亂與欺壓的事。Proclaim to the citadels of Ashdod and to the citadels of Egypt: “Assemble on the mountains of Samaria; see the great unrest in the city and the acts of oppression in her midst.”
10那些以強暴搶奪財物、積蓄在自己家中的人不知道行正直的事。這是耶和華說的。“For they know not how to do right,” declares the LORD. “They store up violence and destruction in their citadels.”
11所以主耶和華如此說：敵人必來圍攻這地，使你的勢力衰微，搶掠你的家宅。Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: “An enemy will surround the land; he will pull down your strongholds and plunder your citadels.”
12耶和華如此說：「牧人怎樣從獅子口中搶回兩條羊腿或半個耳朵，住撒馬利亞的以色列人躺臥在床角上或鋪繡花毯的榻上，他們得救也不過如此。」This is what the LORD says: “As the shepherd snatches from the mouth of the lion two legs or a piece of an ear, so the Israelites dwelling in Samaria will be rescued having just the corner of a bed or the cushion of a couch.
13主耶和華─萬軍之 神說：當聽這話，警戒雅各家。Hear and testify against the house of Jacob, declares the Lord GOD, the God of Hosts.
14我討以色列罪的日子，也要討伯特利祭壇的罪；必被砍下，墜落於地。On the day I punish Israel for their transgressions, I will visit destruction on the altars of Bethel; the horns of the altar will be cut off, and they will fall to the ground.
15我要拆毀過冬和過夏的房屋。也必毀滅；高大的房屋都歸無有。這是耶和華說的。I will tear down the winter house along with the summer house; the houses of ivory will also perish, and the great houses will come to an end,” declares the LORD.
