1使徒和在猶太的眾弟兄聽說外邦人也了 神的道。The apostles and brothers throughout Judea soon heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
2及至彼得上了耶路撒冷，那些門徒和他說：So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers took issue with him
3「你進入的家和他們一同吃飯了。」and said, “You visited uncircumcised men and ate with them.”
4彼得就開口把這事給他們講解說：But Peter began and explained to them the whole sequence of events:
5「我在約帕城裡禱告的時候，魂遊象外，看見異象，有一物降下，好像一塊大布，繫著四角，從天縋下，直來到我跟前。“I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision of something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came right down to me.
6我定睛觀看，見內中有地上四足的牲畜和野獸、昆蟲，並天上的飛鳥。I looked at it closely and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles, and birds of the air.
7我且聽見有聲音向我說：『彼得，起來，宰了吃！』Then I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter, kill and eat.’
8我說：『主啊，這是不可的！凡俗而不潔淨的物從來沒有入過我的口。』‘No, Lord,’ I said, ‘for nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’
9第二次，有聲音從天上說：『神所潔淨的，你不可當作俗物。』But the voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’
10這樣一連三次，就都收回天上去了。This happened three times, and everything was drawn back up into heaven.
11正當那時，有三個人站在我們所住的房門前，是從凱撒利亞差來見我的。Just then three men sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.
12聖靈吩咐我和他們同去，不要（或譯：不要分別等類）。同著我去的，還有這，我們都進了那人的家。The Spirit told me to accompany them without hesitation. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s home.
13那人就告訴我們，他如何看見一位天使站在他屋裡，說：『你打發人往約帕去，請那稱呼彼得的西門來，He told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house and saying, ‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.
14他有話告訴你，可以叫你和你的全家。』He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.’
15我一開講，聖靈便降在他們身上，正像當初降在我們身上一樣。As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as He had fallen upon us at the beginning.
16我就想起主的話說：『約翰是用水施洗，但你們要。』Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
17神既然給他們恩賜，像在我們信主耶穌基督的時候給了我們一樣；我是誰，能 神呢？」So if God gave them the same gift He gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to hinder the work of God?”
18眾人聽見這話，就不言語了，只歸榮耀與 神，說：「這樣看來， 神也賜恩給外邦人，叫他們了。」When they heard this, they had no further objections, and they glorified God, saying, “So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life.”
19那些因司提反的事遭患難的門徒直走到腓尼基和塞浦路斯，並；他們不向別人講道，只向猶太人講。Meanwhile those scattered by the persecution that began with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the message only to Jews.
20但內中有塞浦路斯和，他們到了安提阿也向傳講主耶穌（有古卷：也向說希臘話的猶太人傳講主耶穌）。But some of them, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began speaking to the Greeks as well, proclaiming the good news about the Lord Jesus.
21主與他們同在，信而的人就很多了。The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
22這風聲傳到耶路撒冷教會人的耳中，他們就打發巴拿巴出去，走到安提阿為止。When news of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.
23他到了那裡，看見 神所賜的恩就歡喜，勸勉眾人，立定心志，。When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to abide in the Lord with all their hearts.
24這巴拿巴原是個好人，被聖靈充滿，大有信心。於是有許多人歸服了主。Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.
25他又往去找掃羅，Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,
26找著了，就帶他到安提阿去。他們足有一年的工夫和教會一同聚集，教訓了許多人。門徒稱為「」是從安提阿起首。and when he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. So for a full year they met together with the church and taught large numbers of people. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.
27當那些日子，有幾位先知從耶路撒冷下到安提阿。In those days some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28內中有一位，名叫，站起來，藉著聖靈將有大饑荒。（這事到克勞第年間果然有了。）One of them named Agabus stood up and predicted through the Spirit that a great famine would sweep across the whole world. (This happened under Claudius.)
29於是門徒定意照各人的捐錢，送去供給住在猶太的弟兄。So the disciples, each according to his ability, decided to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.
30他們就這樣行，把捐項託巴拿巴和掃羅送到眾那裡。This they did, sending their gifts to the elders with Barnabas and Saul.
