1亞哈斯登基的時候年二十歲，在耶路撒冷作王十六年；不像他祖大衛行耶和華眼中看為正的事，Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. And unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD.
2卻行以色列諸王的道，又鑄造巴力的像，Instead, he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel and even made cast images of the Baals.
3並且在燒香，用火焚燒他的兒女，行耶和華在以色列人面前所驅逐的外邦人那可憎的事；Moreover, Ahaz burned incense in the Valley of Ben-hinnom and sacrificed his sons in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
4並在邱壇上、山岡上、獻祭燒香。And he sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.
5所以，耶和華─他的 神將他交在亞蘭王手裡。亞蘭王打敗他，擄了他許多的民，帶到大馬士革去。 神又將他交在以色列王手裡，以色列王向他大行殺戮。So the LORD his God delivered Ahaz into the hand of the king of Aram, who attacked him and took many captives to Damascus. Ahaz was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who struck him with great force.
6利瑪利的兒子比加一日殺了猶大人十二萬，都是勇士，因為他們離棄了耶和華─他們列祖的 神。For in one day Pekah son of Remaliah killed 120,000 valiant men in Judah. This happened because they had forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers.
7有一個以法蓮中的勇士，名叫細基利，殺了王的兒子瑪西雅和管理王宮的押斯利甘，並宰相以利加拿。Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, killed Maaseiah the son of the king, Azrikam the governor of the palace, and Elkanah the second to the king.
8以色列人擄了他們的弟兄，連婦人帶兒女共有二十萬，又掠了許多的財物，帶到撒馬利亞去了。Then the Israelites took 200,000 captives from their kinsmen—women, sons, and daughters. They also carried off a great deal of plunder and brought it to Samaria.
9但那裡有耶和華的一個先知，名叫俄德，出來迎接往撒馬利亞去的軍兵，對他們說：「因為耶和華─你們列祖的 神惱怒猶大人，所以將他們交在你們手裡，你們竟怒氣沖天，大行殺戮。But a prophet of the LORD named Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army that returned to Samaria. “Look,” he said to them, “because of His wrath against Judah, the LORD, the God of your fathers, has delivered them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reaches up to heaven.
10如今你們又有意強逼猶大人和耶路撒冷人作你們的奴婢，你們豈不也有得罪耶和華─你們 神的事嗎？And now you intend to reduce to slavery the men and women of Judah and Jerusalem. But are you not also guilty before the LORD your God?
11現在你們當聽我說，要將擄來的弟兄釋放回去，因為耶和華向你們已經大發烈怒。」Now therefore, listen to me and return the captives you took from your kinsmen, for the fierce anger of the LORD is upon you.”
12於是，以法蓮人的幾個族長─就是約哈難的兒子亞撒利雅、米實利末的兒子比利家、沙龍的兒子耶希西家、哈得萊的兒子亞瑪撒─起來攔擋出兵回來的人，Then some of the leaders of the Ephraimites—Azariah son of Jehohanan, Berechiah son of Meshillemoth, Jehizkiah son of Shallum, and Amasa son of Hadlai—stood in opposition to those arriving from the war.
13對他們說：「你們不可帶進這被擄的人來！你們想要使我們得罪耶和華，加增我們的罪惡過犯？因為我們的罪過甚大，已經有烈怒臨到以色列人了。」“You must not bring the captives here,” they said, “for you are proposing to bring guilt upon us from the LORD and to add to our sins and our guilt. For our guilt is great, and fierce anger is upon Israel.”
14於是帶兵器的人將擄來的人口和掠來的財物都留在眾首領和會眾的面前。So the armed men left the captives and the plunder before the leaders and all the assembly.
15以上提名的那些人就站起，使被擄的人前來；其中有赤身的，就從所掠的財物中拿出衣服和鞋來，給他們穿，又給他們吃喝，他們；其中有軟弱的，就使他們騎驢，送到棕樹城他們弟兄那裡；隨後就回撒馬利亞去了。Then the men who were designated by name arose, took charge of the captives, and provided from the plunder clothing for the naked. They clothed them, gave them sandals and food and drink, anointed their wounds, and put all the feeble on donkeys. So they brought them to Jericho, the City of Palms, to their brothers. Then they returned to Samaria.
16那時，亞哈斯王差遣人去見亞述諸王，求他們幫助；At that time King Ahaz sent for help from the king of Assyria.
17因為以東人又來攻擊猶大，擄掠子民。The Edomites had again come and attacked Judah and carried away captives.
18非利士人也來侵佔高原和猶大南方的城邑，取了伯‧示麥、亞雅崙、基低羅，梭哥和屬梭哥的鄉村，亭納和屬亭納的鄉村，瑾鎖和屬瑾鎖的鄉村，就住在那裡。The Philistines had also raided the cities of the foothills and the Negev of Judah, capturing and occupying Beth-shemesh, Aijalon, and Gederoth, as well as Soco, Timnah, and Gimzo with their villages.
19因為以色列王亞哈斯在猶大，大大干犯耶和華，所以耶和華使猶大卑微。For the LORD humbled Judah because Ahaz king of Israel had thrown off restraint in Judah and had been most unfaithful to the LORD.
20亞述王上來，卻沒有幫助他，反倒欺凌他。Then Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came to Ahaz but afflicted him rather than strengthening him.
21亞哈斯從耶和華殿裡和王宮中，並首領家內所取的財寶給了亞述王，這也。Although Ahaz had taken a portion from the house of the LORD, from the royal palace, and from the princes and had presented it to the king of Assyria, it did not help him.
22這亞哈斯王在急難的時候，越發得罪耶和華。In the time of his distress, King Ahaz became even more unfaithful to the LORD.
23他祭祀攻擊他的大馬士革之神，說：「因為亞蘭王的神幫助他們，我也獻祭與他，他好幫助我。」但那些神使他和以色列眾人敗亡了。He sacrificed to the gods of Damascus, who had defeated him, and he said, “Because the gods of the kings of Aram have helped them, I will sacrifice to them that they may help me.” But these gods were the downfall of Ahaz and of all Israel.
24亞哈斯將 神殿裡的器皿都聚了來，毀壞了，且封鎖耶和華殿的門；在耶路撒冷各處的拐角建築祭壇，Then Ahaz gathered up the articles of the house of God, cut them into pieces, shut the doors of the house of the LORD, and set up altars of his own on every street corner in Jerusalem.
25又在猶大各城建立邱壇，與別神燒香，惹動耶和華─他列祖 神的怒氣。In every city of Judah he built high places to offer incense to other gods, and so he provoked the LORD, the God of his fathers.
26亞哈斯其餘的事和他的行為，自始至終都寫在猶大和以色列諸王記上。As for the rest of the acts of Ahaz and all his ways, from beginning to end, they are indeed written in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.
27亞哈斯與他列祖同睡，葬在耶路撒冷城裡，沒有送入以色列諸王的墳墓中。他兒子希西家接續他作王。And Ahaz rested with his fathers and was buried in the city of Jerusalem, but he was not placed in the tombs of the kings of Israel. And his son Hezekiah reigned in his place.
