1所羅門建造耶和華殿和王宮，並一切所願意建造的都完畢了，Now when Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD and the royal palace, and had achieved all that he had desired to do,
2耶和華就二次向所羅門顯現，如先前在基遍向他顯現一樣，the LORD appeared to him a second time, as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.
3對他說：「你向我所禱告祈求的，我都應允了。我已將你所建的這殿分別為聖，使我的名永遠在其中；我的眼、我的心也必常在那裡。And the LORD said to him: “I have heard your prayer and petition before Me. I have consecrated this temple, which you have built, by putting My Name there forever; My eyes and My heart will be there for all time.
4你若效法你父大衛，存誠實正直的心行在我面前，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，謹守我的律例典章，And as for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, with a heart of integrity and uprightness, doing all I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and ordinances,
5我就必堅固你的國位在以色列中，直到永遠，正如我應許你父大衛說：『你的子孫必不斷人坐以色列的國位。』then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised your father David when I said, ‘You will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’
6倘若你們和你們的子孫轉去不跟從我，不守我指示你們的誡命律例，去事奉敬拜別神，But if indeed you or your sons turn away from following Me and do not keep the commandments and statutes I have set before you, and if you go off to serve and worship other gods,
7我就必將以色列人從我賜給他們的地上剪除，並且我為己名所分別為聖的殿也必捨棄不顧，使以色列人在萬民中，被譏誚。then I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, and I will banish from My presence this temple I have sanctified for My Name. Then Israel will become an object of scorn and ridicule among all peoples.
8這殿雖然甚高，將來經過的人必驚訝、，說：『耶和華為何向這地和這殿如此行呢？』And when this temple has become a heap of rubble, all who pass by it will be appalled and will hiss and say, ‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’
9人必回答說：『是因此地的人離棄領他們列祖出埃及地之耶和華─他們的 神，去親近別神，事奉敬拜他，所以耶和華使這一切災禍臨到他們。』」And others will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the LORD their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—because of this, the LORD has brought all this disaster upon them.’”
10所羅門建造耶和華殿和王宮，這兩所二十年才完畢了。Now at the end of the twenty years during which Solomon built these two houses, the house of the LORD and the royal palace,
11泰爾王希蘭曾照所羅門所要的，資助他香柏木、松木，和金子；所羅門王就把加利利地的二十座城給了希蘭。King Solomon gave twenty towns in the land of Galilee to Hiram king of Tyre, who had supplied him with cedar and cypress logs and gold for his every desire.
12希蘭從泰爾出來，察看所羅門給他的城邑，就不喜悅，So Hiram went out from Tyre to inspect the towns that Solomon had given him, but he was not pleased with them.
13說：「我兄啊，你給我的是甚麼城邑呢？」他就給這城邑之地起名叫，直到今日。“What are these towns you have given me, my brother?” asked Hiram, and he called them the Land of Cabul, as they are called to this day.
14希蘭給所羅門一百二十金子。And Hiram had sent the king 120 talents of gold.
15所羅門王挑取服苦的人，是為建造耶和華的殿、自己的宮、、耶路撒冷的城牆、夏瑣、，並基色。This is the account of the forced labor that King Solomon imposed to build the house of the LORD, his own palace, the supporting terraces, and the wall of Jerusalem, as well as Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.
16先前埃及王法老上來攻取基色，用火焚燒，殺了城內居住的迦南人，將城賜給他女兒所羅門的妻作。Pharaoh king of Egypt had attacked and captured Gezer. He had set it on fire, killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it as a dowry to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.
17所羅門建造基色、下伯‧和崙、So Solomon rebuilt Gezer, Lower Beth-horon,
18巴拉，並國中曠野裡的達莫，Baalath, and Tamar in the Wilderness of Judah,
19又建造所有的，並屯車和馬兵的城，與耶路撒冷、黎巴嫩，以及自己治理的全國中所願建造的。as well as all the store cities that Solomon had for his chariots and horses—whatever he desired to build in Jerusalem, Lebanon, and throughout the land of his dominion.
20至於國中所剩下不屬以色列人的亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，As for all the people who remained of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites (the people who were not Israelites)—
21就是以色列人不能滅盡的，所羅門挑取他們的後裔作服苦的奴僕，直到今日。their descendants who remained in the land, those whom the Israelites were unable to devote to destruction—Solomon conscripted these people to be forced laborers, as they are to this day.
22惟有以色列人，所羅門不使他們作奴僕，乃是作他的戰士、臣僕、統領、軍長、車兵長、馬兵長。But Solomon did not consign any of the Israelites to slavery, because they were his men of war, his servants, his officers, his captains, and the commanders of his chariots and cavalry.
23所羅門有五百五十督工的，監管工人。They were also the chief officers over Solomon’s projects: 550 supervisors over the people who did the work.
24法老的女兒從大衛城搬到所羅門為她建造的宮裡。那時，所羅門才建造米羅。As soon as Pharaoh’s daughter had come up from the City of David to the palace that Solomon had built for her, he built the supporting terraces.
25所羅門每年三次在他為耶和華所築的壇上獻燔祭和平安祭，又在耶和華面前的壇上燒香。這樣，他建造殿的工程完畢了。Three times a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar he had built for the LORD, burning incense with them before the LORD. So he completed the temple.
26所羅門王在以東地紅海邊，靠近以祿的製造船隻。King Solomon also assembled a fleet of ships at Ezion-geber, which is near Eloth in Edom, on the shore of the Red Sea.
27希蘭差遣他的僕人，就是熟悉泛海的船家，與所羅門的僕人一同坐船航海。And Hiram sent his servants, sailors who knew the sea, to serve in the fleet with Solomon’s servants.
28他們到了，從那裡得了四百二十他連得金子，運到所羅門王那裡。They sailed to Ophir and imported gold from there—420 talents—and delivered it to Solomon.
