頸項上的繩索與軛

¹猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬（約雅敬是西底家的別名，看第三節）登基的時候，有這話從耶和華臨到耶利米說：At the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD.

²「耶和華對我如此說：你做繩索與軛，加在自己的頸項上，This is what the LORD said to me: “Make for yourself a yoke out of leather straps and put it on your neck.

³藉那些來到耶路撒冷見猶大王西底家的使臣之手，把繩索與軛送到以東王、摩押王、亞捫王、泰爾王、西頓王那裡，Send word to the kings of Edom, Moab, Ammon, Tyre, and Sidon through the envoys who have come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah.

⁴且囑咐使臣，傳與他們的主人說，萬軍之耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：Give them a message from the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, to relay to their masters:

神把地交給尼布甲尼撒

⁵我用大能和伸出來的膀臂，創造大地和地上的人民、牲畜。我看給誰相宜，就把地給誰。By My great power and outstretched arm, I made the earth and the men and beasts on the face of it, and I give it to whom I please.

⁶現在我將這些地都交給我僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的手，我也將田野的走獸給他使用。So now I have placed all these lands under the authority of My servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. I have even made the beasts of the field subject to him.

⁷列國都必服事他和他的兒孫，直到他本國遭報的日期來到。那時，多國和大君王要使他作他們的奴僕。All nations will serve him and his son and grandson, until the time of his own land comes; then many nations and great kings will enslave him.

不可聽占卜和假先知

⁸「無論哪一邦哪一國，不肯服事這巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，也不把頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下，我必用刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫刑罰那邦，直到我藉巴比倫王的手將他們毀滅。這是耶和華說的。As for the nation or kingdom that does not serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and does not place its neck under his yoke, I will punish that nation by sword and famine and plague, declares the LORD, until I have destroyed it by his hand.

⁹至於你們，不可聽從你們的先知和占卜的、圓夢的、觀兆的，以及行邪術的；他們告訴你們說：『你們不致服事巴比倫王。』But as for you, do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your interpreters of dreams, your mediums, or your sorcerers who declare, ‘You will not serve the king of Babylon.’

¹⁰他們向你們說假預言，要叫你們遷移，遠離本地，以致我將你們趕出去，使你們滅亡。For they prophesy to you a lie that will serve to remove you from your land; I will banish you and you will perish.

¹¹但哪一邦肯把頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下服事他，我必使那邦仍在本地存留，得以耕種居住。這是耶和華說的。」But the nation that will put its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will leave in its own land, to cultivate it and reside in it, declares the LORD.”

對西底家說：服事巴比倫王便得存活

¹²我就照這一切的話對猶大王西底家說：「要把你們的頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下，服事他和他的百姓，便得存活。And to Zedekiah king of Judah I spoke the same message: “Put your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon; serve him and his people, and live!

¹³你和你的百姓為何要因刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫死亡，正如耶和華論到不服事巴比倫王的那國說的話呢？Why should you and your people die by sword and famine and plague, as the LORD has decreed against any nation that does not serve the king of Babylon?

¹⁴不可聽那些先知對你們所說的話；他們說：『你們不致服事巴比倫王』，其實他們向你們說假預言。Do not listen to the words of the prophets who say, ‘You must not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying to you a lie.

¹⁵耶和華說：『我並沒有打發他們，他們卻託我的名說假預言，好使我將你們和向你們說預言的那些先知趕出去，一同滅亡。』」For I have not sent them, declares the LORD, and yet they are prophesying falsely in My name; therefore I will banish you, and you will perish—you and the prophets who prophesy to you.”

殿中器皿必被帶到巴比倫

¹⁶我又對祭司和這眾民說：「耶和華如此說：你們不可聽那先知對你們所說的預言。他們說：『耶和華殿中的器皿快要從巴比倫帶回來』；其實他們向你們說假預言。Then I said to the priests and to all this people, “This is what the LORD says: Do not listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, ‘Look, very soon now the articles from the house of the LORD will be brought back from Babylon.’ They are prophesying to you a lie.

¹⁷不可聽從他們，只管服事巴比倫王便得存活。這城何致變為荒場呢？Do not listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon and live! Why should this city become a ruin?

¹⁸他們若果是先知，有耶和華的話臨到他們，讓他們祈求萬軍之耶和華，使那在耶和華殿中和猶大王宮內，並耶路撒冷剩下的器皿，不被帶到巴比倫去。If they are indeed prophets and the word of the LORD is with them, let them now plead with the LORD of Hosts that the articles remaining in the house of the LORD, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem, not be taken to Babylon.

¹⁹（因為萬軍之耶和華論到柱子、銅海、盆座，並剩在這城裡的器皿，For this is what the LORD of Hosts says about the pillars, the sea, the bases, and the rest of the articles that remain in this city,

²⁰就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒擄掠猶大王約雅敬的兒子耶哥尼雅，和猶大、耶路撒冷一切貴冑的時候所沒有掠去的器皿。）which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take when he carried Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon, along with all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem.

²¹論到那在耶和華殿中和猶大王宮內，並耶路撒冷剩下的器皿，萬軍之耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：Yes, this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says about the articles that remain in the house of the LORD, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem:

²²必被帶到巴比倫存在那裡，直到我眷顧以色列人的日子。那時，我必將這器皿帶回來，交還此地。這是耶和華說的。」‘They will be carried to Babylon and will remain there until the day I attend to them again,’ declares the LORD. ‘Then I will bring them back and restore them to this place.’”

哈拿尼雅的假預言

¹當年，就是猶大王西底家登基第四年五月，基遍人押朔的兒子，先知哈拿尼雅，在耶和華的殿中當著祭司和眾民對我說：In the fifth month of that same year, the fourth year, near the beginning of the reign of King Zedekiah of Judah, the prophet Hananiah son of Azzur, who was from Gibeon, said to me in the house of the LORD in the presence of the priests and all the people:

²「萬軍之耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：我已經折斷巴比倫王的軛。“This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

³二年之內，我要將巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒從這地掠到巴比倫的器皿，就是耶和華殿中的一切器皿都帶回此地。Within two years I will restore to this place all the articles of the house of the LORD that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed from here and carried to Babylon.

⁴我又要將猶大王約雅敬的兒子耶哥尼雅和被擄到巴比倫去的一切猶大人帶回此地，因為我要折斷巴比倫王的軛。這是耶和華說的。」And I will restore to this place Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, along with all the exiles from Judah who went to Babylon,’ declares the LORD, ‘for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.’”

耶利米：願耶和華如此行

⁵先知耶利米當著祭司和站在耶和華殿裡的眾民對先知哈拿尼雅說：Then the prophet Jeremiah replied to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests and all the people who were standing in the house of the LORD.

⁶「阿們！願耶和華如此行，願耶和華成就你所預言的話，將耶和華殿中的器皿和一切被擄去的人從巴比倫帶回此地。“Amen!” Jeremiah said. “May the LORD do so! May the LORD fulfill the words you have prophesied, and may He restore the articles of His house and all the exiles back to this place from Babylon.

⁷然而我向你和眾民耳中所要說的話，你應當聽。Nevertheless, listen now to this message I am speaking in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people.

⁸從古以來，在你我以前的先知，向多國和大邦說預言，論到爭戰、災禍、瘟疫的事。The prophets of old who preceded you and me prophesied war, disaster, and plague against many lands and great kingdoms.

⁹先知預言的平安，到話語成就的時候，人便知道他真是耶和華所差來的。」As for the prophet who prophesies peace, only if the word of the prophet comes true will the prophet be recognized as one the LORD has truly sent.”

哈拿尼雅折斷木軛

¹⁰於是，先知哈拿尼雅將先知耶利米頸項上的軛取下來，折斷了。Then the prophet Hananiah took the yoke off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet and broke it.

¹¹哈拿尼雅又當著眾民說：「耶和華如此說：二年之內我必照樣從列國人的頸項上折斷巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的軛。」於是先知耶利米就走了。And in the presence of all the people Hananiah proclaimed, “This is what the LORD says: ‘In this way, within two years I will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon off the neck of all the nations.’” At this, Jeremiah the prophet went on his way.

木軛換成鐵軛

¹²先知哈拿尼雅把先知耶利米頸項上的軛折斷以後，耶和華的話臨到耶利米說：But shortly after Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke off his neck, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:

¹³「你去告訴哈拿尼雅說，耶和華如此說：你折斷木軛，卻換了鐵軛！“Go and tell Hananiah that this is what the LORD says: ‘You have broken a yoke of wood, but in its place you have fashioned a yoke of iron.’

¹⁴因為萬軍之耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：我已將鐵軛加在這些國的頸項上，使他們服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，他們總要服事他；我也把田野的走獸給了他。」For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations to make them serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they will serve him. I have even given him control of the beasts of the field.’”

哈拿尼雅當年必死

¹⁵於是先知耶利米對先知哈拿尼雅說：「哈拿尼雅啊，你應當聽！耶和華並沒有差遣你，你竟使這百姓倚靠謊言。Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah! The LORD did not send you, but you have persuaded this people to trust in a lie.

¹⁶所以耶和華如此說：看哪，我要叫你去世，你今年必死，因為你向耶和華說了叛逆的話。」Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. You will die this year because you have preached rebellion against the LORD.’”

¹⁷這樣，先知哈拿尼雅當年七月間就死了。And in the seventh month of that very year, the prophet Hananiah died.

末世危險的日子

¹你該知道，末世必有危險的日子來到。But understand this: In the last days terrible times will come.

²因為那時，人要專顧自己，貪愛錢財，自誇，狂傲，謗讟，違背父母，忘恩負義，心不聖潔，For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

³無親情，不解怨，好說讒言，不能自約，性情凶暴，不愛良善，unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, without love of good,

⁴賣主賣友，任意妄為，自高自大，愛宴樂，不愛　神，traitorous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

⁵有敬虔的外貌，卻背了敬虔的實意；這等人你要躲開。having a form of godliness but denying its power. Turn away from such as these!

牢籠無知婦女的人

⁶那偷進人家、牢籠無知婦女的，正是這等人。這些婦女擔負罪惡，被各樣的私慾引誘，They are the kind who worm their way into households and captivate vulnerable women who are weighed down with sins and led astray by various passions,

⁷常常學習，終久不能明白真道。who are always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.

像雅尼和佯庇一樣

⁸從前雅尼和佯庇怎樣敵擋摩西，這等人也怎樣敵擋真道。他們的心地壞了，在真道上是可廢棄的。Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth. They are depraved in mind and disqualified from the faith.

⁹然而他們不能再這樣敵擋；因為他們的愚昧必在眾人面前顯露出來，像那二人一樣。But they will not advance much further. For just like Jannes and Jambres, their folly will be plain to everyone.

你已經服從了我的教訓

¹⁰但你已經服從了我的教訓、品行、志向、信心、寬容、愛心、忍耐，You, however, have observed my teaching, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my perseverance,

¹¹以及我在安提阿、以哥念、路司得所遭遇的逼迫、苦難。我所忍受是何等的逼迫；但從這一切苦難中，主都把我救出來了。my persecutions, and the sufferings that came upon me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. What persecutions I endured! Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.

敬虔度日的都要受逼迫

¹²不但如此，凡立志在基督耶穌裡敬虔度日的也都要受逼迫。Indeed, all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

¹³只是作惡的和迷惑人的，必越久越惡，他欺哄人，也被人欺哄。while evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

所學習的要存在心裡

¹⁴但你所學習的，所確信的，要存在心裡；因為你知道是跟誰學的，But as for you, continue in the things you have learned and firmly believed, since you know from whom you have learned them.

¹⁵並且知道你是從小明白聖經，這聖經能使你因信基督耶穌，有得救的智慧。From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

聖經都是神所默示的

¹⁶聖經都是　神所默示的（或譯：凡　神所默示的聖經），於教訓、督責、使人歸正、教導人學義都是有益的，All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

¹⁷叫屬　神的人得以完全，預備行各樣的善事。so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
