以賽亞看見主的榮耀

¹當烏西雅王崩的那年，我見主坐在高高的寶座上。他的衣裳垂下，遮滿聖殿。In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted; and the train of His robe filled the temple.

²其上有撒拉弗侍立，各有六個翅膀：用兩個翅膀遮臉，兩個翅膀遮腳，兩個翅膀飛翔；Above Him stood seraphim, each having six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.

³彼此呼喊說：聖哉！聖哉！聖哉！萬軍之耶和華；他的榮光充滿全地！And they were calling out to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts; all the earth is full of His glory.”

⁴因呼喊者的聲音，門檻的根基震動，殿充滿了煙雲。At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook, and the temple was filled with smoke.

⁵那時我說：「禍哉！我滅亡了！因為我是嘴唇不潔的人，又住在嘴唇不潔的民中，又因我眼見大君王─萬軍之耶和華。」Then I said: “Woe is me, for I am ruined, because I am a man of unclean lips dwelling among a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of Hosts.”

紅炭沾口，罪孽除掉

⁶有一撒拉弗飛到我跟前，手裡拿著紅炭，是用火剪從壇上取下來的，Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a glowing coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.

⁷將炭沾我的口，說：「看哪，這炭沾了你的嘴，你的罪孽便除掉，你的罪惡就赦免了。」And with it he touched my mouth and said: “Now that this has touched your lips, your iniquity is removed and your sin is atoned for.”

我在這裡，請差遣我

⁸我又聽見主的聲音說：「我可以差遣誰呢？誰肯為我們去呢？」我說：「我在這裡，請差遣我！」Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: “Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us?” And I said: “Here am I. Send me!”

百姓聽卻不明白

⁹他說：「你去告訴這百姓說：你們聽是要聽見，卻不明白；看是要看見，卻不曉得。And He replied: “Go and tell this people, ‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’

¹⁰要使這百姓心蒙脂油，耳朵發沉，眼睛昏迷；恐怕眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，便得醫治。」Make the hearts of this people calloused; deafen their ears and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”

¹¹我就說：「主啊，這到幾時為止呢？」他說：直到城邑荒涼，無人居住，房屋空閒無人，地土極其荒涼。Then I asked: “How long, O Lord?” And He replied: “Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left unoccupied and the land is desolate and ravaged,

¹²並且耶和華將人遷到遠方，在這境內撇下的地土很多。until the LORD has driven men far away and the land is utterly forsaken.

¹³境內剩下的人若還有十分之一，也必被吞滅，像栗樹、橡樹雖被砍伐，樹墩子卻仍存留。這聖潔的種類在國中也是如此。And though a tenth remains in the land, it will be burned again. As the terebinth and oak leave stumps when felled, so the holy seed will be a stump in the land.”

亞蘭與以法蓮同盟

¹烏西雅的孫子、約坦的兒子、猶大王亞哈斯在位的時候，亞蘭王利汛和利瑪利的兒子、以色列王比加上來攻打耶路撒冷，卻不能攻取。Now in the days that Ahaz son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, was king of Judah, Rezin king of Aram marched up to wage war against Jerusalem. He was accompanied by Pekah son of Remaliah the king of Israel, but he could not overpower the city.

²有人告訴大衛家說：「亞蘭與以法蓮已經同盟。」王的心和百姓的心就都跳動，好像林中的樹被風吹動一樣。When it was reported to the house of David that Aram was in league with Ephraim, the hearts of Ahaz and his people trembled like trees in the forest shaken by the wind.

³耶和華對以賽亞說：「你和你的兒子施亞雅述出去，到上池的水溝頭，在漂布地的大路上，去迎接亞哈斯，Then the LORD said to Isaiah, “Go out with your son Shear-jashub to meet Ahaz at the end of the aqueduct that feeds the upper pool, on the road to the Launderer’s Field,

⁴對他說：『你要謹慎安靜，不要因亞蘭王利汛和利瑪利的兒子這兩個冒煙的火把頭所發的烈怒害怕，也不要心裡膽怯。and say to him: Calm down and be quiet. Do not be afraid or disheartened over these two smoldering stubs of firewood—over the fierce anger of Rezin and Aram and of the son of Remaliah.

⁵因為亞蘭和以法蓮，並利瑪利的兒子，設惡謀害你，For Aram, along with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has plotted your ruin, saying:

⁶說：我們可以上去攻擊猶大，擾亂它，攻破它，在其中立他比勒的兒子為王。‘Let us invade Judah, terrorize it, and divide it among ourselves. Then we can install the son of Tabeal over it as king.’

⁷所以主耶和華如此說：這所謀的必立不住，也不得成就。But this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘It will not arise; it will not happen.

⁸原來亞蘭的首城是大馬士革；大馬士革的首領是利汛。（六十五年之內，以法蓮必然破壞，不再成為國民。）For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be shattered as a people.

⁹以法蓮的首城是撒馬利亞；撒馬利亞的首領是利瑪利的兒子。你們若是不信，定然不得立穩。』」The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you do not stand firm in your faith, then you will not stand at all.’”

以馬內利的兆頭

¹⁰耶和華又曉諭亞哈斯說：Again the LORD spoke to Ahaz, saying,

¹¹「你向耶和華─你的　神求一個兆頭：或求顯在深處，或求顯在高處。」“Ask for a sign from the LORD your God, whether from the depths of Sheol or the heights of heaven.”

¹²亞哈斯說：「我不求；我不試探耶和華。」But Ahaz replied, “I will not ask; I will not test the LORD.”

¹³以賽亞說：「大衛家啊，你們當聽！你們使人厭煩豈算小事，還要使我的　神厭煩嗎？Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, O house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God as well?

¹⁴因此，主自己要給你們一個兆頭，必有童女懷孕生子，給他起名叫以馬內利（就是　神與我們同在的意思）。Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will be with child and give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel.

¹⁵到他曉得棄惡擇善的時候，他必吃奶油與蜂蜜。By the time He knows enough to reject evil and choose good, He will be eating curds and honey.

¹⁶因為在這孩子還不曉得棄惡擇善之先，你所憎惡的那二王之地必致見棄。For before the boy knows enough to reject evil and choose good, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.

亞述要臨到猶大

¹⁷耶和華必使亞述王攻擊你的日子臨到你和你的百姓，並你的父家，自從以法蓮離開猶大以來，未曾有這樣的日子。The LORD will bring on you and on your people and on the house of your father a time unlike any since the day Ephraim separated from Judah—He will bring the king of Assyria.”

¹⁸「那時，耶和華要發嘶聲，使埃及江河源頭的蒼蠅和亞述地的蜂子飛來；On that day the LORD will whistle to the flies at the farthest streams of the Nile and to the bees in the land of Assyria.

¹⁹都必飛來，落在荒涼的谷內、磐石的穴裡，和一切荊棘籬笆中，並一切的草場上。And they will all come and settle in the steep ravines and clefts of the rocks, in all the thornbushes and watering holes.

²⁰「那時，主必用大河外賃的剃頭刀，就是亞述王，剃去頭髮和腳上的毛，並要剃淨鬍鬚。On that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates—the king of Assyria—to shave your head and the hair of your legs, and to remove your beard as well.

²¹「那時，一個人要養活一隻母牛犢，兩隻母綿羊；On that day a man will raise a young cow and two sheep,

²²因為出的奶多，他就得吃奶油，在境內所剩的人都要吃奶油與蜂蜜。and from the abundance of milk they give, he will eat curds; for all who remain in the land will eat curds and honey.

²³「從前，凡種一千棵葡萄樹、值銀一千舍客勒的地方，到那時必長荊棘和蒺藜。And on that day, in every place that had a thousand vines worth a thousand shekels of silver, only briers and thorns will be found.

²⁴人上那裡去，必帶弓箭，因為遍地滿了荊棘和蒺藜。Men will go there with bow and arrow, for the land will be covered with briers and thorns.

²⁵所有用鋤刨挖的山地，你因怕荊棘和蒺藜，不敢上那裡去；只可成了放牛之處，為羊踐踏之地。」For fear of the briers and thorns, you will no longer traverse the hills once tilled by the hoe; they will become places for oxen to graze and sheep to trample.

擄掠速臨、搶奪快到

¹耶和華對我說：「你取一個大牌，拿人所用的筆（或譯：人常用的字），寫上『瑪黑珥‧沙拉勒‧哈施‧罷斯』（就是擄掠速臨、搶奪快到的意思）。Then the LORD said to me, “Take a large scroll and write on it with an ordinary stylus: Maher-shalal-hash-baz.

²我要用誠實的見證人，祭司烏利亞和耶比利家的兒子撒迦利亞記錄這事。」And I will appoint for Myself trustworthy witnesses—Uriah the priest and Zechariah son of Jeberekiah.”

³我─以賽亞與妻子（原文是女先知）同室；她懷孕生子，耶和華就對我說：「給他起名叫瑪黑珥‧沙拉勒‧哈施‧罷斯；And I had relations with the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. The LORD said to me, “Name him Maher-shalal-hash-baz.

⁴因為在這小孩子不曉得叫父叫母之先，大馬士革的財寶和撒馬利亞的擄物必在亞述王面前搬了去。」For before the boy knows how to cry ‘Father’ or ‘Mother,’ the wealth of Damascus and the plunder of Samaria will be carried off by the king of Assyria.”

大河的水猛然沖來

⁵耶和華又曉諭我說：And the LORD spoke to me further:

⁶「這百姓既厭棄西羅亞緩流的水，喜悅利汛和利瑪利的兒子；“Because this people has rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoiced in Rezin and the son of Remaliah,

⁷因此，主必使大河翻騰的水猛然沖來，就是亞述王和他所有的威勢，必漫過一切的水道，漲過兩岸；the Lord will surely bring against them the mighty floodwaters of the Euphrates—the king of Assyria and all his pomp. It will overflow its channels and overrun its banks.

⁸必沖入猶大，漲溢氾濫，直到頸項。以馬內利啊，他展開翅膀，遍滿你的地。」It will pour into Judah, swirling and sweeping over it, reaching up to the neck; its spreading streams will cover your entire land, O Immanuel!

⁹列國的人民哪，任憑你們喧嚷，終必破壞；遠方的眾人哪，當側耳而聽！任憑你們束起腰來，終必破壞；你們束起腰來，終必破壞。Huddle together, O peoples, and be shattered; pay attention, all you distant lands; prepare for battle, and be shattered; prepare for battle, and be shattered!

¹⁰任憑你們同謀，終歸無有；任憑你們言定，終不成立；因為　神與我們同在。Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; state a proposal, but it will not happen. For God is with us.”

要尊萬軍之耶和華為聖

¹¹耶和華以大能的手，指教我不可行這百姓所行的道，對我這樣說：For this is what the LORD has spoken to me with a strong hand, instructing me not to walk in the way of this people:

¹²「這百姓說同謀背叛，你們不要說同謀背叛。他們所怕的，你們不要怕，也不要畏懼。“Do not call conspiracy everything these people regard as conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear; do not live in dread.

¹³但要尊萬軍之耶和華為聖，以他為你們所當怕的，所當畏懼的。The LORD of Hosts is the One you shall regard as holy. Only He should be feared; only He should be dreaded.

¹⁴他必作為聖所，卻向以色列兩家作絆腳的石頭，跌人的磐石；向耶路撒冷的居民作為圈套和網羅。And He will be a sanctuary—but to both houses of Israel a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, to the dwellers of Jerusalem a trap and a snare.

¹⁵許多人必在其上絆腳跌倒，而且跌碎，並陷入網羅，被纏住。」Many will stumble over these; they will fall and be broken; they will be ensnared and captured.”

封住訓誨，等候耶和華

¹⁶你要捲起律法書，在我門徒中間封住訓誨。Bind up the testimony and seal the law among my disciples.

¹⁷我要等候那掩面不顧雅各家的耶和華；我也要仰望他。I will wait for the LORD, who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob. I will put my trust in Him.

¹⁸看哪，我與耶和華所給我的兒女，就是從住在錫安山萬軍之耶和華來的，在以色列中作為預兆和奇蹟。Here am I, and the children the LORD has given me as signs and symbols in Israel from the LORD of Hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.

不可求問交鬼的

¹⁹有人對你們說：「當求問那些交鬼的和行巫術的，就是聲音綿蠻，言語微細的。」你們便回答說：「百姓不當求問自己的　神嗎？豈可為活人求問死人呢？」When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists who whisper and mutter, shouldn’t a people consult their God instead? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?

²⁰人當以訓誨和法度為標準；他們所說的，若不與此相符，必不得見晨光。To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn.

²¹他們必經過這地，受艱難，受飢餓；飢餓的時候，心中焦躁，咒罵自己的君王和自己的　神。They will roam the land, dejected and hungry. When they are famished, they will become enraged; and looking upward, they will curse their king and their God.

²²仰觀上天，俯察下地，不料，盡是艱難、黑暗，和幽暗的痛苦。他們必被趕入烏黑的黑暗中去。Then they will look to the earth and see only distress and darkness and the gloom of anguish. And they will be driven into utter darkness.

黑暗中的百姓看見大光

¹但那受過痛苦的必不再見幽暗。從前　神使西布倫地和拿弗他利地被藐視，末後卻使這沿海的路，約旦河外，外邦人的加利利地得著榮耀。Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those in distress. In the past He humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future He will honor the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations:

²在黑暗中行走的百姓看見了大光；住在死蔭之地的人有光照耀他們。The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.

³你使這國民繁多，加增他們的喜樂；他們在你面前歡喜，好像收割的歡喜，像人分擄物那樣的快樂。You have enlarged the nation and increased its joy. The people rejoice before You as they rejoice at harvest time, as men rejoice in dividing the plunder.

⁴因為他們所負的重軛和肩頭上的杖，並欺壓他們人的棍，你都已經折斷，好像在米甸的日子一樣。For as in the day of Midian You have shattered the yoke of their burden, the bar across their shoulders, and the rod of their oppressor.

⁵戰士在亂殺之間所穿戴的盔甲，並那滾在血中的衣服，都必作為可燒的，當作火柴。For every trampling boot of battle and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire.

有一嬰孩為我們而生

⁶因有一嬰孩為我們而生；有一子賜給我們。政權必擔在他的肩頭上；他名稱為「奇妙策士、全能的　神、永在的父、和平的君」。For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

⁷他的政權與平安必加增無窮。他必在大衛的寶座上治理他的國，以公平公義使國堅定穩固，從今直到永遠。萬軍之耶和華的熱心必成就這事。Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from that time and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will accomplish this.

保羅為外邦人被囚

¹因此，我─保羅為你們外邦人作了基督耶穌被囚的，替你們祈禱（此句是照對十四節所加）。For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles...

福音的奧祕

²諒必你們曾聽見　神賜恩給我，將關切你們的職分託付我，Surely you have heard about the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you,

³用啟示使我知道福音的奧祕，正如我以前略略寫過的。that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.

⁴你們念了，就能曉得我深知基督的奧祕。In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,

⁵這奧祕在以前的世代沒有叫人知道，像如今藉著聖靈啟示他的聖使徒和先知一樣。which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.

⁶這奧祕就是外邦人在基督耶穌裡，藉著福音，得以同為後嗣，同為一體，同蒙應許。This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.

作福音的執事

⁷我作了這福音的執事，是照　神的恩賜，這恩賜是照他運行的大能賜給我的。I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace, given me through the working of His power.

⁸我本來比眾聖徒中最小的還小，然而他還賜我這恩典，叫我把基督那測不透的豐富傳給外邦人，Though I am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

⁹又使眾人都明白，這歷代以來隱藏在創造萬物之　神裡的奧祕是如何安排的，and to illuminate for everyone the stewardship of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.

¹⁰為要藉著教會使天上執政的、掌權的，現在得知　神百般的智慧。His purpose was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

¹¹這是照　神從萬世以前，在我們主基督耶穌裡所定的旨意。according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹²我們因信耶穌，就在他裡面放膽無懼，篤信不疑地來到　神面前。In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.

¹³所以，我求你們不要因我為你們所受的患難喪膽，這原是你們的榮耀。So I ask you not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.

在父面前屈膝

¹⁴因此，我在父面前屈膝，... for this reason I bow my knees before the Father,

¹⁵（天上地上的各（或譯：全）家，都是從他得名。）from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.

明白基督的愛何等長闊高深

¹⁶求他按著他豐盛的榮耀，藉著他的靈，叫你們心裡的力量剛強起來，I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,

¹⁷使基督因你們的信，住在你們心裡，叫你們的愛心有根有基，so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love,

¹⁸能以和眾聖徒一同明白基督的愛是何等長闊高深，will have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth

¹⁹並知道這愛是過於人所能測度的，便叫　神一切所充滿的，充滿了你們。of the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

超過我們所求所想

²⁰神能照著運行在我們心裡的大力充充足足地成就一切，超過我們所求所想的。Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,

²¹但願他在教會中，並在基督耶穌裡，得著榮耀，直到世世代代，永永遠遠。阿們！to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
