以斯拉的家譜

¹這事以後，波斯王亞達薛西年間，有個以斯拉，他是西萊雅的兒子，西萊雅是亞撒利雅的兒子，亞撒利雅是希勒家的兒子，Many years later, during the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,

²希勒家是沙龍的兒子，沙龍是撒督的兒子，撒督是亞希突的兒子，the son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,

³亞希突是亞瑪利雅的兒子，亞瑪利雅是亞撒利雅的兒子，亞撒利雅是米拉約的兒子，the son of Amariah, the son of Azariah, the son of Meraioth,

⁴米拉約是西拉希雅的兒子，西拉希雅是烏西的兒子，烏西是布基的兒子，the son of Zerahiah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,

⁵布基是亞比書的兒子，亞比書是非尼哈的兒子，非尼哈是以利亞撒的兒子，以利亞撒是大祭司亞倫的兒子。the son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest—

通達律法的文士

⁶這以斯拉從巴比倫上來，他是敏捷的文士，通達耶和華─以色列　神所賜摩西的律法書。王允准他一切所求的，是因耶和華─他　神的手幫助他。this Ezra came up from Babylon. He was a scribe skilled in the Law of Moses, which the LORD, the God of Israel, had given. The king had granted Ezra all his requests, for the hand of the LORD his God was upon him.

⁷亞達薛西王第七年，以色列人、祭司、利未人、歌唱的、守門的、尼提寧，有上耶路撒冷的。So in the seventh year of King Artaxerxes, he went up to Jerusalem with some of the Israelites, including priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, and temple servants.

⁸王第七年五月，以斯拉到了耶路撒冷。Ezra arrived in Jerusalem in the fifth month of the seventh year of the king.

⁹正月初一日，他從巴比倫起程；因他　神施恩的手幫助他，五月初一日就到了耶路撒冷。He had begun the journey from Babylon on the first day of the first month, and he arrived in Jerusalem on the first day of the fifth month, for the gracious hand of his God was upon him.

¹⁰以斯拉定志考究遵行耶和華的律法，又將律例典章教訓以色列人。For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the LORD, to practice it, and to teach its statutes and ordinances in Israel.

亞達薛西王的諭旨

¹¹祭司以斯拉是通達耶和華誡命和賜以色列之律例的文士。亞達薛西王賜給他們諭旨，上面寫著說：This is the text of the letter King Artaxerxes had given to Ezra the priest and scribe, an expert in the commandments and statutes of the LORD to Israel:

¹²「諸王之王亞達薛西，達於祭司以斯拉通達天上　神律法大德的文士，云云。Artaxerxes, king of kings. To Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven: Greetings.

¹³住在我國中的以色列人、祭司、利未人，凡甘心上耶路撒冷去的，我降旨准他們與你同去。I hereby decree that any volunteers among the Israelites in my kingdom, including the priests and Levites, may go up with you to Jerusalem.

¹⁴王與七個謀士既然差你去，照你手中　神的律法書察問猶大和耶路撒冷的景況；You are sent by the king and his seven counselors to evaluate Judah and Jerusalem according to the Law of your God, which is in your hand.

¹⁵又帶金銀，就是王和謀士甘心獻給住耶路撒冷、以色列　神的，Moreover, you are to take with you the silver and gold that the king and his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose dwelling is in Jerusalem,

¹⁶並帶你在巴比倫全省所得的金銀，和百姓、祭司樂意獻給耶路撒冷─他們　神殿的禮物。together with all the silver and gold you may find in all the province of Babylon, as well as the freewill offerings of the people and priests to the house of their God in Jerusalem.

¹⁷所以你當用這金銀，急速買公牛、公綿羊、綿羊羔，和同獻的素祭奠祭之物，獻在耶路撒冷─你們　神殿的壇上。With this money, therefore, you are to buy as many bulls, rams, and lambs as needed, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings, and offer them on the altar at the house of your God in Jerusalem.

¹⁸剩下的金銀，你和你的弟兄看著怎樣好，就怎樣用，總要遵著你們　神的旨意。You and your brothers may do whatever seems best with the rest of the silver and gold, according to the will of your God.

¹⁹所交給你　神殿中使用的器皿，你要交在耶路撒冷　神面前。You must deliver to the God of Jerusalem all the articles given to you for the service of the house of your God.

²⁰你　神殿裡若再有需用的經費，你可以從王的府庫裡支取。And if anything else is needed for the house of your God that you may have occasion to supply, you may pay for it from the royal treasury.

吩咐河西庫官供應

²¹「我─亞達薛西王又降旨與河西的一切庫官，說：『通達天上　神律法的文士祭司以斯拉，無論向你們要甚麼，你們要速速地備辦，I, King Artaxerxes, decree to all the treasurers west of the Euphrates: Whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven, may require of you, it must be provided promptly,

²²就是銀子直到一百他連得，麥子一百柯珥，酒一百罷特，油一百罷特，鹽不計其數，也要給他。up to a hundred talents of silver, a hundred cors of wheat, a hundred baths of wine, a hundred baths of olive oil, and salt without limit.

²³凡天上之　神所吩咐的，當為天上　神的殿詳細辦理。為何使忿怒臨到王和王眾子的國呢？Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven must be done diligently for His house. For why should wrath fall on the realm of the king and his sons?

²⁴我又曉諭你們，至於祭司、利未人、歌唱的、守門的，和尼提寧，並在　神殿當差的人，不可叫他們進貢，交課，納稅。』And be advised that you have no authority to impose tribute, duty, or toll on any of the priests, Levites, singers, doorkeepers, temple servants, or other servants of this house of God.

委任以斯拉治理、教導

²⁵「以斯拉啊，要照著你　神賜你的智慧，將所有明白你　神律法的人立為士師、審判官，治理河西的百姓，使他們教訓一切不明白　神律法的人。And you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your God, which you possess, are to appoint magistrates and judges to judge all the people west of the Euphrates—all who know the laws of your God. And you are to teach these laws to anyone who does not know them.

²⁶凡不遵行你　神律法和王命令的人就當速速定他的罪，或治死，或充軍，或抄家，或囚禁。」If anyone does not keep the law of your God and the law of the king, let a strict judgment be executed against him, whether death, banishment, confiscation of property, or imprisonment.

以斯拉稱頌神

²⁷以斯拉說：「耶和華─我們列祖的　神是應當稱頌的！因他使王起這心意修飾耶路撒冷耶和華的殿，Blessed be the LORD, the God of our fathers, who has put into the heart of the king to so honor the house of the LORD in Jerusalem,

²⁸又在王和謀士，並大能的軍長面前施恩於我。因耶和華─我　神的手幫助我，我就得以堅強，從以色列中招聚首領，與我一同上來。」and who has shown me favor before the king, his counselors, and all his powerful officials. And because the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, I took courage and gathered the leaders of Israel to return with me.

同行歸回的族長

¹當亞達薛西王年間，同我從巴比倫上來的人，他們的族長和他們的家譜記在下面：These are the family heads and genealogical records of those who returned with me from Babylon during the reign of King Artaxerxes:

²屬非尼哈的子孫有革順；屬以他瑪的子孫有但以理；屬大衛的子孫有哈突；from the descendants of Phinehas, Gershom; from the descendants of Ithamar, Daniel; from the descendants of David, Hattush

³屬巴錄的後裔，就是示迦尼的子孫有撒迦利亞，同著他，按家譜計算，男丁一百五十人；of the descendants of Shecaniah; from the descendants of Parosh, Zechariah, and with him were registered 150 men;

⁴屬巴哈‧摩押的子孫有西拉希雅的兒子以利約乃，同著他有男丁二百；from the descendants of Pahath-Moab, Eliehoenai son of Zerahiah, and with him 200 men;

⁵屬示迦尼的子孫有雅哈悉的兒子，同著他有男丁三百；from the descendants of Zattu, Shecaniah son of Jahaziel, and with him 300 men;

⁶屬亞丁的子孫有約拿單的兒子以別，同著他有男丁五十；from the descendants of Adin, Ebed son of Jonathan, and with him 50 men;

⁷屬以攔的子孫有亞他利雅的兒子耶篩亞，同著他有男丁七十；from the descendants of Elam, Jeshaiah son of Athaliah, and with him 70 men;

⁸屬示法提雅的子孫有米迦勒的兒子西巴第雅，同著他有男丁八十；from the descendants of Shephatiah, Zebadiah son of Michael, and with him 80 men;

⁹屬約押的子孫有耶歇的兒子俄巴底亞，同著他有男丁二百一十八；from the descendants of Joab, Obadiah son of Jehiel, and with him 218 men;

¹⁰屬示羅密的子孫有約細斐的兒子，同著他有男丁一百六十；from the descendants of Bani, Shelomith son of Josiphiah, and with him 160 men;

¹¹屬比拜的子孫有比拜的兒子撒迦利亞，同著他有男丁二十八；from the descendants of Bebai, Zechariah son of Bebai, and with him 28 men;

¹²屬押甲的子孫有哈加坦的兒子約哈難，同著他有男丁一百一十；from the descendants of Azgad, Johanan son of Hakkatan, and with him 110 men;

¹³屬亞多尼干的子孫，就是末尾的，他們的名字是以利法列、耶利、示瑪雅，同著他們有男丁六十；from the later descendants of Adonikam, these were their names: Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them 60 men;

¹⁴屬比革瓦伊的子孫有烏太和撒布，同著他們有男丁七十。and from the descendants of Bigvai, both Uthai and Zaccur, and with them 70 men.

招聚利未人

¹⁵我招聚這些人在流入亞哈瓦的河邊，我們在那裡住了三日。我查看百姓和祭司，見沒有利未人在那裡，Now I assembled these exiles at the canal that flows to Ahava, and we camped there three days. And when I searched among the people and priests, I found no Levites there.

¹⁶就召首領以利以謝、亞列、示瑪雅、以利拿單、雅立、以利拿單、拿單、撒迦利亞、米書蘭，又召教習約雅立和以利拿單。Then I summoned the leaders: Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah, and Meshullam, as well as the teachers Joiarib and Elnathan.

¹⁷我打發他們往迦西斐雅地方去見那裡的首領易多，又告訴他們當向易多和他的弟兄尼提寧說甚麼話，叫他們為我們　神的殿帶使用的人來。And I sent them to Iddo, the leader at Casiphia, with a message for him and his kinsmen, the temple servants at Casiphia, that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God.

¹⁸蒙我們　神施恩的手幫助我們，他們在以色列的曾孫、利未的孫子、抹利的後裔中帶一個通達人來；還有示利比和他的眾子與弟兄共一十八人。And since the gracious hand of our God was upon us, they brought us Sherebiah—a man of insight from the descendants of Mahli son of Levi, the son of Israel—along with his sons and brothers, 18 men;

¹⁹又有哈沙比雅，同著他有米拉利的子孫耶篩亞，並他的眾子和弟兄共二十人。also Hashabiah, together with Jeshaiah, from the descendants of Merari, and his brothers and their sons, 20 men.

²⁰從前大衛和眾首領派尼提寧服事利未人，現在從這尼提寧中也帶了二百二十人來，都是按名指定的。They also brought 220 of the temple servants, all designated by name. David and the officials had appointed them to assist the Levites.

禁食求平坦的道路

²¹那時，我在亞哈瓦河邊宣告禁食，為要在我們　神面前克苦己心，求他使我們和婦人孩子，並一切所有的，都得平坦的道路。And there by the Ahava Canal I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask Him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.

²²我求王撥步兵馬兵幫助我們抵擋路上的仇敵，本以為羞恥；因我曾對王說：「我們　神施恩的手必幫助一切尋求他的；但他的能力和忿怒必攻擊一切離棄他的。」For I was ashamed to ask the king for an escort of soldiers and horsemen to protect us from our enemies on the road, since we had told him, “The hand of our God is gracious to all who seek Him, but His great anger is against all who forsake Him.”

²³所以我們禁食祈求我們的　神，他就應允了我們。So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and He granted our request.

把金銀器皿交給祭司看守

²⁴我分派祭司長十二人，就是示利比、哈沙比雅，和他們的弟兄十人，Then I set apart twelve of the leading priests, together with Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brothers,

²⁵將王和謀士、軍長，並在那裡的以色列眾人為我們　神殿所獻的金銀和器皿，都秤了交給他們。and I weighed out to them the contribution of silver and gold and the articles that the king, his counselors, his leaders, and all the Israelites there had offered for the house of our God.

²⁶我秤了交在他們手中的銀子有六百五十他連得；銀器重一百他連得；金子一百他連得；I weighed out into their hands 650 talents of silver, articles of silver weighing 100 talents, 100 talents of gold,

²⁷金碗二十個，重一千達利克；上等光銅的器皿兩個，寶貴如金。20 gold bowls valued at 1,000 darics, and two articles of fine polished bronze, as precious as gold.

²⁸我對他們說：「你們歸耶和華為聖，器皿也為聖；金銀是甘心獻給耶和華─你們列祖之　神的。Then I told them, “You are holy to the LORD, and these articles are holy. The silver and gold are a freewill offering to the LORD, the God of your fathers.

²⁹你們當警醒看守，直到你們在耶路撒冷耶和華殿的庫內，在祭司長和利未族長，並以色列的各族長面前過了秤。」Guard them carefully until you weigh them out in the chambers of the house of the LORD in Jerusalem before the leading priests, Levites, and heads of the Israelite families.”

³⁰於是，祭司、利未人按著分量接受金銀和器皿，要帶到耶路撒冷我們　神的殿裡。So the priests and Levites took charge of the silver and gold and sacred articles that had been weighed out to be taken to the house of our God in Jerusalem.

平安抵達耶路撒冷

³¹正月十二日，我們從亞哈瓦河邊起行，要往耶路撒冷去。我們　神的手保佑我們，救我們脫離仇敵和路上埋伏之人的手。On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem, and the hand of our God was upon us to protect us from the hands of the enemies and bandits along the way.

³²我們到了耶路撒冷，在那裡住了三日。So we arrived at Jerusalem and rested there for three days.

³³第四日，在我們　神的殿裡把金銀和器皿都秤了，交在祭司烏利亞的兒子米利末的手中。同著他有非尼哈的兒子以利亞撒，還有利未人耶書亞的兒子約撒拔和賓內的兒子挪亞底。On the fourth day, in the house of our God, we weighed out the silver and gold and sacred articles into the hand of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest. Eleazar son of Phinehas was with him, along with the Levites Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui.

³⁴當時都點了數目，按著分量寫在冊上。Everything was verified by number and weight, and the total weight was recorded at that time.

³⁵從擄到之地歸回的人向以色列的　神獻燔祭，就是為以色列眾人獻公牛十二隻，公綿羊九十六隻，綿羊羔七十七隻，又獻公山羊十二隻作贖罪祭，這都是向耶和華焚獻的。Then the exiles who had returned from captivity sacrificed burnt offerings to the God of Israel: 12 bulls for all Israel, 96 rams, 77 lambs, and a sin offering of 12 male goats. All this was a burnt offering to the LORD.

³⁶他們將王的諭旨交給王所派的總督與河西的省長，他們就幫助百姓，又供給　神殿裡所需用的。They also delivered the king’s edicts to the royal satraps and governors of the region west of the Euphrates, who proceeded to assist the people and the house of God.

保羅和巴拿巴在安提阿教導

³⁵但保羅和巴拿巴仍住在安提阿，和許多別人一同教訓人，傳主的道。But Paul and Barnabas remained at Antioch, along with many others, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord.

為馬可起爭論而分開

³⁶過了些日子，保羅對巴拿巴說：「我們可以回到從前宣傳主道的各城，看望弟兄們景況如何。」Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us go back and visit the brothers in every town where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, to see how they are doing.”

³⁷巴拿巴有意要帶稱呼馬可的約翰同去；Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark.

³⁸但保羅因為馬可從前在旁非利亞離開他們，不和他們同去做工，就以為不可帶他去。But Paul thought it best not to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not accompanied them in the work.

³⁹於是二人起了爭論，甚至彼此分開。巴拿巴帶著馬可，坐船往塞浦路斯去；Their disagreement was so sharp that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus,

⁴⁰保羅揀選了西拉，也出去，蒙弟兄們把他交於主的恩中。but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.

⁴¹他就走遍敘利亞、基利家，堅固眾教會。And he traveled through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.

提摩太加入

¹保羅來到特庇，又到路司得。在那裡有一個門徒，名叫提摩太，是信主之猶太婦人的兒子，他父親卻是希臘人。Paul came to Derbe and then to Lystra, where he found a disciple named Timothy, the son of a believing Jewish woman and a Greek father.

²路司得和以哥念的弟兄都稱讚他。The brothers in Lystra and Iconium spoke well of him.

³保羅要帶他同去，只因那些地方的猶太人都知道他父親是希臘人，就給他行了割禮。Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him, so he took him and circumcised him on account of the Jews in that area, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

傳交耶路撒冷的決定

⁴他們經過各城，把耶路撒冷使徒和長老所定的條規交給門徒遵守。As they went from town to town, they delivered the decisions handed down by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem for the people to obey.

⁵於是眾教會信心越發堅固，人數天天加增。So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.

聖靈禁止，馬其頓的異象

⁶聖靈既然禁止他們在亞細亞講道，他們就經過弗呂家、加拉太一帶地方。After the Holy Spirit had prevented them from speaking the word in the province of Asia, they traveled through the region of Phrygia and Galatia.

⁷到了每西亞的邊界，他們想要往庇推尼去，耶穌的靈卻不許。And when they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not permit them.

⁸他們就越過每西亞，下到特羅亞去。So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas.

⁹在夜間有異象現與保羅。有一個馬其頓人站著求他說：「請你過到馬其頓來幫助我們。」During the night, Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and pleading with him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

¹⁰保羅既看見這異象，我們隨即想要往馬其頓去，以為　神召我們傳福音給那裡的人聽。As soon as Paul had seen the vision, we got ready to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

來到腓立比

¹¹於是從特羅亞開船，一直行到撒摩特喇，第二天到了尼亞坡里。We sailed from Troas straight to Samothrace, and the following day on to Neapolis.

¹²從那裡來到腓立比，就是馬其頓這一方的頭一個城，也是羅馬的駐防城。我們在這城裡住了幾天。From there we went to the Roman colony of Philippi, the leading city of that district of Macedonia. And we stayed there several days.

呂底亞信主

¹³當安息日，我們出城門，到了河邊，知道那裡有一個禱告的地方，我們就坐下對那聚會的婦女講道。On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate along the river, where it was customary to find a place of prayer. After sitting down, we spoke to the women who had gathered there.

¹⁴有一個賣紫色布疋的婦人，名叫呂底亞，是推雅推喇城的人，素來敬拜　神。她聽見了，主就開導她的心，叫她留心聽保羅所講的話。Among those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message.

¹⁵她和她一家既領了洗，便求我們說：「你們若以為我是真信主的（或譯：你們若以為我是忠心事主的），請到我家裡來住」；於是強留我們。And when she and her household had been baptized, she urged us, “If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.

趕出使女身上的巫鬼

¹⁶後來，我們往那禱告的地方去。有一個使女迎著面來，她被巫鬼所附，用法術，叫她主人們大得財利。One day as we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl with a spirit of divination, who earned a large income for her masters by fortune-telling.

¹⁷她跟隨保羅和我們，喊著說：「這些人是至高　神的僕人，對你們傳說救人的道。」This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the way of salvation!”

¹⁸她一連多日這樣喊叫，保羅就心中厭煩，轉身對那鬼說：「我奉耶穌基督的名，吩咐你從她身上出來！」那鬼當時就出來了。She continued this for many days. Eventually Paul grew so aggravated that he turned and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” And the spirit left her at that very moment.
