以色列人都按家譜登記

¹以色列人都按家譜計算，寫在以色列諸王記上。猶大人因犯罪就被擄到巴比倫。So all Israel was recorded in the genealogies written in the Book of the Kings of Israel. But Judah was exiled to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness.

歸回後住在耶路撒冷的人

²先從巴比倫回來，住在自己地業城邑中的有以色列人、祭司、利未人、尼提寧的首領。Now the first to resettle their own property in their cities were Israelites, priests, Levites, and temple servants.

³住在耶路撒冷的有猶大人、便雅憫人、以法蓮人、瑪拿西人。Some of the descendants of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh lived in Jerusalem:

⁴猶大兒子法勒斯的子孫中有烏太。烏太是亞米忽的兒子；亞米忽是暗利的兒子；暗利是音利的兒子；音利是巴尼的兒子。Uthai son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, a descendant of Perez son of Judah.

⁵示羅的子孫中有長子亞帥雅和他的眾子。From the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn and his sons.

⁶謝拉的子孫中有耶烏利和他的弟兄，共六百九十人。From the Zerahites: Jeuel and 690 relatives.

⁷便雅憫人中有哈西努的曾孫、何達威雅的孫子、米書蘭的兒子撒路，From the Benjamites: Sallu son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah;

⁸又有耶羅罕的兒子伊比尼雅，米基立的孫子、烏西的兒子以拉，伊比尼雅的曾孫、流珥的孫子、示法提雅的兒子米書蘭，Ibneiah son of Jeroham; Elah son of Uzzi, the son of Michri; Meshullam son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;

⁹和他們的族弟兄，按著家譜計算共有九百五十六名。這些人都是他們的族長。and 956 of their relatives according to their genealogy. All these men were heads of their families.

祭司

¹⁰祭司中有耶大雅、耶何雅立、雅斤，From the priests: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, and Jachin;

¹¹還有管理　神殿希勒家的兒子亞薩利雅。希勒家是米書蘭的兒子；米書蘭是撒督的兒子；撒督是米拉約的兒子；米拉約是亞希突的兒子。Azariah son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the chief official of God’s temple;

¹²有瑪基雅的曾孫、巴施戶珥的孫子、耶羅罕的兒子亞大雅，又有亞第業的兒子瑪賽；亞第業是雅希細拉的兒子；雅希細拉是米書蘭的兒子；米書蘭是米實利密的兒子；米實利密是音麥的兒子。Adaiah son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah; Maasai son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

利未人

¹⁴利未人米拉利的子孫中，有哈沙比雅的曾孫、押利甘的孫子、哈述的兒子示瑪雅。From the Levites: Shemaiah son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, a descendant of Merari;

¹⁵有拔巴甲、黑勒施、迦拉，並亞薩的曾孫、細基利的孫子、米迦的兒子瑪探雅，Bakbakkar, Heresh, Galal, and Mattaniah son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

¹⁶又有耶杜頓的曾孫、迦拉的孫子、示瑪雅的兒子俄巴底，還有以利加拿的孫子、亞撒的兒子比利家。他們都住在尼陀法人的村莊。Obadiah son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived in the villages of the Netophathites.

守門的

¹⁷守門的是沙龍、亞谷、達們、亞希幔，和他們的弟兄；沙龍為長。These were the gatekeepers: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their relatives. Shallum was their chief;

¹⁸從前這些人看守朝東的王門，如今是利未營中守門的。he was previously stationed at the King’s Gate on the east side. These were the gatekeepers from the camp of the Levites.

¹⁹可拉的曾孫、以比雅撒的孫子、可利的兒子沙龍，和他的族弟兄可拉人都管理使用之工，並守會幕的門。他們的祖宗曾管理耶和華的營盤，又把守營門。Shallum son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his relatives from the Korahites were assigned to guard the thresholds of the Tent, just as their fathers had been assigned to guard the entrance to the dwelling of the LORD.

²⁰從前以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈管理他們，耶和華也與他同在。In earlier times Phinehas son of Eleazar had been in charge of the gatekeepers, and the LORD was with him.

²¹米施利米雅的兒子撒迦利雅是看守會幕之門的。Zechariah son of Meshelemiah was the gatekeeper at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

²²被選守門的人共有二百一十二名。他們在自己的村莊，按著家譜計算，是大衛和先見撒母耳所派當這緊要職任的。The number of those chosen to be gatekeepers at the thresholds was 212. They were registered by genealogy in their villages. David and Samuel the seer had appointed them to their positions of trust.

²³他們和他們的子孫按著班次看守耶和華殿的門，就是會幕的門。So they and their descendants were assigned to guard the gates of the house of the LORD—the house called the Tent.

²⁴在東西南北，四方都有守門的。The gatekeepers were stationed on the four sides: east, west, north, and south.

²⁵他們的族弟兄住在村莊，每七日來與他們換班。Their relatives came from their villages at fixed times to serve with them for seven-day periods.

²⁶這四個門領都是利未人，各有緊要的職任，看守　神殿的倉庫。But the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the rooms and the treasuries of the house of God.

²⁷他們住在　神殿的四圍，是因委託他們守殿，要每日早晨開門。They would spend the night stationed around the house of God, because they were responsible for guarding it and opening it every morning.

管理器皿和陳設餅的

²⁸利未人中有管理使用器皿的，按著數目拿出拿入；Some of them were in charge of the articles used in worship, to count them whenever they were brought in or taken out.

²⁹又有人管理器具和聖所的器皿，並細麵、酒、油、乳香、香料。Others were put in charge of the furnishings and other articles of the sanctuary, as well as the fine flour, wine, oil, frankincense, and spices.

³⁰祭司中有人用香料做膏油。And some of the sons of the priests mixed the spices.

³¹利未人瑪他提雅是可拉族沙龍的長子，他緊要的職任是管理盤中烤的物。A Levite named Mattithiah, the firstborn son of Shallum the Korahite, was entrusted with baking the bread.

³²他們族弟兄哥轄子孫中，有管理陳設餅的，每安息日預備擺列。Some of their Kohathite relatives were responsible for preparing the rows of the showbread every Sabbath.

歌唱的

³³歌唱的有利未人的族長，住在屬殿的房屋，晝夜供職，不做別樣的工。Those who were musicians, the heads of Levite families, stayed in the temple chambers and were exempt from other duties because they were on duty day and night.

³⁴以上都是利未人著名的族長，住在耶路撒冷。All these were heads of Levite families, chiefs according to their genealogies, and they lived in Jerusalem.

掃羅的家譜

³⁵在基遍住的有基遍的父親耶利。他的妻名叫瑪迦；Jeiel the father of Gibeon lived in Gibeon. His wife’s name was Maacah.

³⁶他長子是亞伯頓。他又生蘇珥、基士、巴力、尼珥、拿答、Abdon was his firstborn son, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

³⁷基多、亞希約、撒迦利雅、米基羅。Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth.

³⁸米基羅生示米暗。這些人和他們的弟兄在耶路撒冷對面居住。Mikloth was the father of Shimeam. They too lived alongside their relatives in Jerusalem.

³⁹尼珥生基士；基士生掃羅；掃羅生約拿單、麥基舒亞、亞比拿達、伊施‧巴力。Ner was the father of Kish, Kish was the father of Saul, and Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.

⁴⁰約拿單的兒子是米力‧巴力（就是米非波設）；米力‧巴力生米迦。The son of Jonathan: Merib-baal, who was the father of Micah.

⁴¹米迦的兒子是毘敦、米勒、他利亞、亞哈斯。The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.

⁴²亞哈斯生雅拉；雅拉生亞拉篾、亞斯瑪威、心利；心利生摩撒；Ahaz was the father of Jarah; Jarah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri was the father of Moza.

⁴³摩撒生比尼亞；比尼亞生利法雅；利法雅的兒子是以利亞薩；以利亞薩的兒子是亞悉。Moza was the father of Binea. Rephaiah was his son, Elasah his son, and Azel his son.

⁴⁴亞悉有六個兒子，他們的名字是亞斯利干、波基路、以實瑪利、示亞利雅、俄巴底雅、哈難。這都是亞悉的兒子。And Azel had six sons, and these were their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.

掃羅在基利波山陣亡

¹非利士人與以色列人爭戰，以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波山有被殺仆倒的。Now the Philistines fought against Israel, and the men of Israel fled before them, and many fell slain on Mount Gilboa.

²非利士人緊追掃羅和他兒子們，就殺了掃羅的兒子約拿單、亞比拿達、麥基舒亞。The Philistines followed hard after Saul and his sons, and they killed Saul’s sons Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua.

³勢派甚大，掃羅被弓箭手追上，射傷甚重，When the battle intensified against Saul, the archers overtook him and wounded him.

⁴就吩咐拿他兵器的人說：「你拔出刀來，將我刺死，免得那些未受割禮的人來凌辱我。」但拿兵器的人甚懼怕，不肯刺他；Then Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through with it, or these uncircumcised men will come and torture me!” But his armor-bearer was terrified and refused to do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

⁵掃羅就自己伏在刀上死了。拿兵器的人見掃羅已死，也伏在刀上死了。When his armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his own sword and died.

⁶這樣，掃羅和他三個兒子，並他的全家都一同死亡。So Saul died together with his three sons and all his house.

⁷住平原的以色列眾人見以色列軍兵逃跑，掃羅和他兒子都死了，也就棄城逃跑，非利士人便來住在其中。When all the Israelites in the valley saw that the army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their cities and ran away. So the Philistines came and occupied their cities.

非利士人凌辱掃羅的屍身

⁸次日，非利士人來剝那被殺之人的衣服，看見掃羅和他兒子仆倒在基利波山，The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.

⁹就剝了他的軍裝，割下他的首級，打發人到（到：或譯送到）非利士地的四境報信與他們的偶像和眾民，They stripped Saul, cut off his head, took his armor, and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temple of their idols and among their people.

¹⁰又將掃羅的軍裝放在他們神的廟裡，將他的首級釘在大袞廟中。They put his armor in the temple of their gods and hung his head in the temple of Dagon.

基列‧雅比人安葬掃羅

¹¹基列‧雅比人聽見非利士人向掃羅所行的一切事，When all the people of Jabesh-gilead heard about everything the Philistines had done to Saul,

¹²他們中間所有的勇士就起身前去，將掃羅和他兒子的屍身送到雅比，將他們的屍骨葬在雅比的橡樹下，就禁食七日。all their men of valor set out and retrieved the bodies of Saul and his sons and brought them to Jabesh. And they buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh and fasted seven days.

掃羅為何而死

¹³這樣，掃羅死了。因為他干犯耶和華，沒有遵守耶和華的命；又因他求問交鬼的婦人，So Saul died for his unfaithfulness to the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance,

¹⁴沒有求問耶和華，所以耶和華使他被殺，把國歸於耶西的兒子大衛。and he failed to inquire of the LORD. So the LORD put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.

寫給提阿非羅的續篇

¹提阿非羅啊，我已經作了前書，論到耶穌開頭一切所行所教訓的，In my first book, O Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach,

²直到他藉著聖靈吩咐所揀選的使徒，以後被接上升的日子為止。until the day He was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles He had chosen.

³他受害之後，用許多的憑據將自己活活地顯給使徒看，四十天之久向他們顯現，講說　神國的事。After His suffering, He presented Himself to them with many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a span of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.

等候父所應許的

⁴耶穌和他們聚集的時候，囑咐他們說：「不要離開耶路撒冷，要等候父所應許的，就是你們聽見我說過的。And while they were gathered together, He commanded them: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift the Father promised, which you have heard Me discuss.

⁵約翰是用水施洗，但不多幾日，你們要受聖靈的洗。」For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

作我的見證，直到地極

⁶他們聚集的時候，問耶穌說：「主啊，你復興以色列國就在這時候嗎？」So when they came together, they asked Him, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

⁷耶穌對他們說：「父憑著自己的權柄所定的時候、日期，不是你們可以知道的。Jesus replied, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority.

⁸但聖靈降臨在你們身上，你們就必得著能力，並要在耶路撒冷、猶太全地，和撒馬利亞，直到地極，作我的見證。」But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

耶穌被接升天

⁹說了這話，他們正看的時候，他就被取上升，有一朵雲彩把他接去，便看不見他了。After He had said this, they watched as He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.

¹⁰當他往上去，他們定睛望天的時候，忽然有兩個人身穿白衣，站在旁邊，說：They were looking intently into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.

¹¹「加利利人哪，你們為甚麼站著望天呢？這離開你們被接升天的耶穌，你們見他怎樣往天上去，他還要怎樣來。」“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.”

同心合意恆切禱告

¹²有一座山，名叫橄欖山，離耶路撒冷不遠，約有安息日可走的路程。當下，門徒從那裡回耶路撒冷去，Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is near the city, a Sabbath day’s journey away.

¹³進了城，就上了所住的一間樓房；在那裡有彼得、約翰、雅各、安得烈、腓力、多馬、巴多羅買、馬太、亞勒腓的兒子雅各、奮銳黨的西門，和雅各的兒子（或譯：兄弟）猶大。When they arrived, they went to the upper room where they were staying: Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.
