以利沙治好耶利哥的水

¹⁹耶利哥城的人對以利沙說：「這城的地勢美好，我主看見了；只是水惡劣，土產不熟而落。」Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Please note, our lord, that the city’s location is good, as you can see. But the water is bad and the land is unfruitful.”

²⁰以利沙說：「你們拿一個新瓶來，裝鹽給我」；他們就拿來給他。“Bring me a new bowl,” he replied, “and put some salt in it.” So they brought it to him,

²¹他出到水源，將鹽倒在水中，說：「耶和華如此說：『我治好了這水，從此必不再使人死，也不再使地土不生產。』」and Elisha went out to the spring, cast the salt into it, and said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘I have healed this water. No longer will it cause death or unfruitfulness.’”

²²於是那水治好了，直到今日，正如以利沙所說的。And the waters there have been healthy to this day, according to the word spoken by Elisha.

伯特利的童子

²³以利沙從那裡上伯特利去，正上去的時候，有些童子從城裡出來，戲笑他說：「禿頭的上去吧！禿頭的上去吧！」From there, Elisha went up to Bethel, and as he was walking up the road, a group of boys came out of the city and jeered at him, chanting, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!”

²⁴他回頭看見，就奉耶和華的名咒詛他們。於是有兩個母熊從林中出來，撕裂他們中間四十二個童子。Then he turned around, looked at them, and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Suddenly two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys.

²⁵以利沙從伯特利上迦密山，又從迦密山回到撒馬利亞。And Elisha went on to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.

以色列王約蘭

¹猶大王約沙法十八年，亞哈的兒子約蘭在撒馬利亞登基作了以色列王十二年。In the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat’s reign over Judah, Jehoram son of Ahab became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria twelve years.

²他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，但不致像他父母所行的，因為除掉他父所造巴力的柱像。And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as his father and mother had done. He removed the sacred pillar of Baal that his father had made.

³然而，他貼近尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的那罪，總不離開。Nevertheless, he clung to the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit; he did not turn away from them.

三王聯軍攻打摩押

⁴摩押王米沙牧養許多羊，每年將十萬羊羔的毛和十萬公綿羊的毛給以色列王進貢。Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheep breeder, and he would render to the king of Israel a hundred thousand lambs and the wool of a hundred thousand rams.

⁵亞哈死後，摩押王背叛以色列王。But after the death of Ahab, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

⁶那時約蘭王出撒馬利亞，數點以色列眾人。So at that time King Jehoram set out from Samaria and mobilized all Israel.

⁷前行的時候，差人去見猶大王約沙法，說：「摩押王背叛我，你肯同我去攻打摩押嗎？」他說：「我肯上去，你我不分彼此，我的民與你的民一樣，我的馬與你的馬一樣。」And he sent a message to Jehoshaphat king of Judah: “The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?” “I will go,” replied Jehoshaphat. “I am as you are, my people are your people, and my horses are your horses.”

⁸約蘭說：「我們從哪條路上去呢？」回答說：「從以東曠野的路上去。」Then he asked, “Which way shall we go up?” “By way of the Desert of Edom,” replied Joram.

⁹於是，以色列王和猶大王，並以東王，都一同去繞行七日的路程；軍隊和所帶的牲畜沒有水喝。So the king of Israel, the king of Judah, and the king of Edom set out, and after they had traveled a roundabout route for seven days, they had no water for their army or for their animals.

¹⁰以色列王說：「哀哉！耶和華招聚我們這三王，乃要交在摩押人的手裡。」“Alas,” said the king of Israel, “for the LORD has summoned these three kings to deliver them into the hand of Moab!”

以利沙預言谷中滿了水

¹¹約沙法說：「這裡不是有耶和華的先知嗎？我們可以託他求問耶和華。」以色列王的一個臣子回答說：「這裡有沙法的兒子以利沙，就是從前服事以利亞的（原文是倒水在以利亞手上的）。」But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there no prophet of the LORD here? Let us inquire of the LORD through him.” And one of the servants of the king of Israel answered, “Elisha son of Shaphat is here. He used to pour water on the hands of Elijah.”

¹²約沙法說：「他必有耶和華的話。」於是以色列王和約沙法，並以東王都下去見他。Jehoshaphat affirmed, “The word of the LORD is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

¹³以利沙對以色列王說：「我與你何干？去問你父親的先知和你母親的先知吧！」以色列王對他說：「不要這樣說，耶和華招聚我們這三王，乃要交在摩押人的手裡。」Elisha, however, said to the king of Israel, “What have we to do with each other? Go to the prophets of your father and of your mother!” “No,” replied the king of Israel, “for it is the LORD who has summoned these three kings to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”

¹⁴以利沙說：「我指著所事奉永生的萬軍耶和華起誓，我若不看猶大王約沙法的情面，必不理你，不顧你。Then Elisha said, “As surely as the LORD of Hosts lives, before whom I stand, were it not for my regard for the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you or acknowledge you.

¹⁵現在你們給我找一個彈琴的來。」彈琴的時候，耶和華的靈（原文是手）就降在以利沙身上。But now, bring me a harpist.” And while the harpist played, the hand of the LORD came upon Elisha

¹⁶他便說：「耶和華如此說：『你們要在這谷中滿處挖溝；and he said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Dig this valley full of ditches.’

¹⁷因為耶和華如此說：你們雖不見風，不見雨，這谷必滿了水，使你們和牲畜有水喝。』For the LORD says, ‘You will not see wind or rain, but the valley will be filled with water, and you will drink—you and your cattle and your animals.’

¹⁸在耶和華眼中這還算為小事，他也必將摩押人交在你們手中。This is a simple matter in the sight of the LORD, and He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.

¹⁹你們必攻破一切堅城美邑，砍伐各種佳樹，塞住一切水泉，用石頭糟踏一切美田。」And you shall attack every fortified city and every city of importance. You shall cut down every good tree, stop up every spring, and ruin every good field with stones.”

水紅如血，摩押大敗

²⁰次日早晨，約在獻祭的時候，有水從以東而來，遍地就滿了水。The next morning, at the time of the morning sacrifice, water suddenly flowed from the direction of Edom and filled the land.

²¹摩押眾人聽見這三王上來要與他們爭戰，凡能頂盔貫甲的，無論老少，盡都聚集站在邊界上。Now all the Moabites had heard that the kings had come up to fight against them. So all who could bear arms, young and old, were summoned and stationed at the border.

²²次日早晨，日光照在水上，摩押人起來，看見對面水紅如血，When they got up early in the morning, the sun was shining on the water, and it looked as red as blood to the Moabites across the way.

²³就說：「這是血啊！必是三王互相擊殺，俱都滅亡。摩押人哪，我們現在去搶奪財物吧！」“This is blood!” they exclaimed. “The kings have clashed swords and slaughtered one another. Now to the plunder, Moab!”

²⁴摩押人到了以色列營，以色列人就起來攻打他們，以致他們在以色列人面前逃跑。以色列人往前追殺摩押人，直殺入摩押的境內，But when the Moabites came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and attacked them, and they fled before them. So the Israelites invaded their land and struck down the Moabites.

²⁵拆毀摩押的城邑，各人拋石填滿一切美田，塞住一切水泉，砍伐各種佳樹，只剩下吉珥‧哈列設的石牆；甩石的兵在四圍攻打那城。They destroyed the cities, and each man threw stones on every good field until it was covered. They stopped up every spring and cut down every good tree. Only Kir-haraseth was left with stones in place, but men with slings surrounded it and attacked it as well.

摩押王獻長子

²⁶摩押王見陣勢甚大，難以對敵，就率領七百拿刀的兵，要衝過陣去到以東王那裡，卻是不能；When the king of Moab saw that the battle was too fierce for him, he took with him seven hundred swordsmen to break through to the king of Edom, but they could not prevail.

²⁷便將那應當接續他作王的長子，在城上獻為燔祭。以色列人遭遇耶和華的大怒（或譯：招人痛恨），於是三王離開摩押王，各回本國去了。So he took his firstborn son, who was to succeed him, and offered him as a burnt offering on the city wall. And there was great fury against the Israelites, so they withdrew and returned to their own land.

寡婦的油

¹有一個先知門徒的妻哀求以利沙說：「你僕人─我丈夫死了，他敬畏耶和華是你所知道的。現在有債主來，要取我兩個兒子作奴僕。」Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant, my husband, is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD. And now his creditor is coming to take my two children as his slaves!”

²以利沙問她說：「我可以為你做甚麼呢？你告訴我，你家裡有甚麼？」她說：「婢女家中除了一瓶油之外，沒有甚麼。」“How can I help you?” asked Elisha. “Tell me, what do you have in the house?” She answered, “Your servant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”

³以利沙說：「你去，向你眾鄰舍借空器皿，不要少借；“Go,” said Elisha, “borrow empty jars from all your neighbors. Do not gather just a few.

⁴回到家裡，關上門，你和你兒子在裡面將油倒在所有的器皿裡，倒滿了的放在一邊。」Then go inside, shut the door behind you and your sons, and pour oil into all these jars, setting the full ones aside.”

⁵於是，婦人離開以利沙去了，關上門，自己和兒子在裡面；兒子把器皿拿來，她就倒油。So she left him, and after she had shut the door behind her and her sons, they kept bringing jars to her, and she kept pouring.

⁶器皿都滿了，她對兒子說：「再給我拿器皿來。」兒子說：「再沒有器皿了。」油就止住了。When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another.” But he replied, “There are no more jars.” Then the oil stopped flowing.

⁷婦人去告訴神人，神人說：「你去賣油還債，所剩的你和你兒子可以靠著度日。」She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil, and pay your debt. Then you and your sons can live on the remainder.”

書念婦人為神人預備小樓

⁸一日，以利沙走到書念，在那裡有一個大戶的婦人強留他吃飯。此後，以利沙每從那裡經過就進去吃飯。One day Elisha went to Shunem, and a prominent woman who lived there persuaded him to have a meal. So whenever he would pass by, he would stop there to eat.

⁹婦人對丈夫說：「我看出那常從我們這裡經過的是聖潔的神人。Then the woman said to her husband, “Behold, now I know that the one who often comes our way is a holy man of God.

¹⁰我們可以為他在牆上蓋一間小樓，在其中安放床榻、桌子、椅子、燈臺，他來到我們這裡，就可以住在其間。」Please let us make a small room upstairs and put in it a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp for him. Then when he comes to us, he can stay there.”

以利沙要報答她

¹¹一日，以利沙來到那裡，就進了那樓躺臥。One day Elisha came to visit and went to his upper room to lie down.

¹²以利沙吩咐僕人基哈西說：「你叫這書念婦人來。」他就把婦人叫了來，婦人站在以利沙面前。And he said to Gehazi his servant, “Call the Shunammite woman.” And when he had called her, she stood before him,

¹³以利沙吩咐僕人說：「你對她說：你既為我們費了許多心思，可以為你做甚麼呢？你向王或元帥有所求的沒有？」她回答說：「我在我本鄉安居無事。」and Elisha said to Gehazi, “Now tell her, ‘Look, you have gone to all this trouble for us. What can we do for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or the commander of the army?’” “I have a home among my own people,” she replied.

¹⁴以利沙對僕人說：「究竟當為她做甚麼呢？」基哈西說：「她沒有兒子，她丈夫也老了。」So he asked, “Then what should be done for her?” “Well, she has no son,” Gehazi replied, “and her husband is old.”

明年你必抱一個兒子

¹⁵以利沙說：「再叫她來。」於是叫了她來，她就站在門口。“Call her,” said Elisha. So Gehazi called her, and she stood in the doorway.

¹⁶以利沙說：「明年到這時候，你必抱一個兒子。」她說：「神人，我主啊，不要那樣欺哄婢女。」And Elisha declared, “At this time next year, you will hold a son in your arms.” “No, my lord,” she said. “Do not lie to your maidservant, O man of God.”

¹⁷婦人果然懷孕，到了那時候，生了一個兒子，正如以利沙所說的。But the woman did conceive, and at that time the next year she gave birth to a son, just as Elisha had told her.

修殿節在所羅門的廊下

²²在耶路撒冷有修殿節，是冬天的時候。At that time the Feast of Dedication took place in Jerusalem. It was winter,

²³耶穌在殿裡所羅門的廊下行走。and Jesus was walking in the temple courts in Solomon’s Colonnade.

²⁴猶太人圍著他，說：「你叫我們猶疑不定到幾時呢？你若是基督，就明明地告訴我們。」So the Jews gathered around Him and demanded, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

我的羊聽我的聲音

²⁵耶穌回答說：「我已經告訴你們，你們不信。我奉我父之名所行的事可以為我作見證；“I already told you,” Jesus replied, “but you did not believe. The works I do in My Father’s name testify on My behalf.

²⁶只是你們不信，因為你們不是我的羊。But because you are not My sheep, you refuse to believe.

²⁷我的羊聽我的聲音，我也認識他們，他們也跟著我。My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.

²⁸我又賜給他們永生；他們永不滅亡，誰也不能從我手裡把他們奪去。I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand.

²⁹我父把羊賜給我，他比萬有都大，誰也不能從我父手裡把他們奪去。My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

³⁰我與父原為一。」I and the Father are one.”

猶太人又要拿石頭打祂

³¹猶太人又拿起石頭來要打他。At this, the Jews again picked up stones to stone Him.

³²耶穌對他們說：「我從父顯出許多善事給你們看，你們是為哪一件拿石頭打我呢？」But Jesus responded, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone Me?”

³³猶太人回答說：「我們不是為善事拿石頭打你，是為你說僭妄的話；又為你是個人，反將自己當作　神。」“We are not stoning You for any good work,” said the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because You, who are a man, make Yourself out to be God.”

我曾說你們是神

³⁴耶穌說：「你們的律法上豈不是寫著『我曾說你們是神』嗎？Jesus replied, “Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’?

³⁵經上的話是不能廢的；若那些承受　神道的人尚且稱為神，If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken—

³⁶父所分別為聖、又差到世間來的，他自稱是　神的兒子，你們還向他說『你說僭妄的話』嗎？then what about the One whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world? How then can you accuse Me of blasphemy for stating that I am the Son of God?

³⁷我若不行我父的事，你們就不必信我；If I am not doing the works of My Father, then do not believe Me.

³⁸我若行了，你們縱然不信我，也當信這些事，叫你們又知道又明白父在我裡面，我也在父裡面。」But if I am doing them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works themselves, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I am in the Father.”

³⁹他們又要拿他，他卻逃出他們的手走了。At this, they tried again to seize Him, but He escaped their grasp.

耶穌退到約旦河外

⁴⁰耶穌又往約旦河外去，到了約翰起初施洗的地方，就住在那裡。Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had first been baptizing, and He stayed there.

⁴¹有許多人來到他那裡。他們說：「約翰一件神蹟沒有行過，但約翰指著這人所說的一切話都是真的。」Many came to Him and said, “Although John never performed a sign, everything he said about this man was true.”

⁴²在那裡，信耶穌的人就多了。And many in that place believed in Jesus.
