耶羅波安仍不悔改

³³這事以後，耶羅波安仍不離開他的惡道，將凡民立為邱壇的祭司；凡願意的，他都分別為聖，立為邱壇的祭司。Even after these events, Jeroboam did not repent of his evil ways, but again he appointed priests for the high places from every class of people. He ordained anyone who desired to be a priest of the high places.

³⁴這事叫耶羅波安的家陷在罪裡，甚至他的家從地上除滅了。And this was the sin of the house of Jeroboam that led to its extermination and destruction from the face of the earth.

耶羅波安的兒子生病

¹那時，耶羅波安的兒子亞比雅病了。At that time Abijah son of Jeroboam became ill,

²耶羅波安對他的妻說：「你可以起來改裝，使人不知道你是耶羅波安的妻，往示羅去，在那裡有先知亞希雅。他曾告訴我說，你必作這民的王。and Jeroboam said to his wife, “Now get up, disguise yourself so they will not recognize you as my wife, and go to Shiloh. For Ahijah the prophet is there; it was he who spoke about my kingship over this people.

³現在你要帶十個餅，與幾個薄餅，和一瓶蜜去見他，他必告訴你兒子將要怎樣。」Take with you ten loaves of bread, some cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will become of the boy.”

⁴耶羅波安的妻就這樣行，起身往示羅去，到了亞希雅的家。亞希雅因年紀老邁，眼目發直，不能看見。Jeroboam’s wife did as instructed; she arose and went to Shiloh and arrived at Ahijah’s house. Now Ahijah could not see, for his eyes were dim because of his age.

⁵耶和華先曉諭亞希雅說：「耶羅波安的妻要來問你，因她兒子病了，你當如此如此告訴她。她進來的時候必裝作別的婦人。」But the LORD had said to Ahijah, “Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to ask you about her son, for he is ill. You are to say such and such to her, because when she arrives, she will be disguised.”

亞希雅宣告耶羅波安家的結局

⁶她剛進門，亞希雅聽見她腳步的響聲，就說：「耶羅波安的妻，進來吧！你為何裝作別的婦人呢？我奉差遣將凶事告訴你。So when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet entering the door, he said, “Come in, wife of Jeroboam! Why are you disguised? For I have been sent to you with bad news.

⁷你回去告訴耶羅波安說：『耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：我從民中將你高舉，立你作我民以色列的君，Go, tell Jeroboam that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I raised you up from among the people and appointed you ruler over My people Israel.

⁸將國從大衛家奪回賜給你；你卻不效法我僕人大衛，遵守我的誡命，一心順從我，行我眼中看為正的事。I tore the kingdom away from the house of David and gave it to you. But you have not been like My servant David, who kept My commandments and followed Me with all his heart, doing only what was right in My eyes.

⁹你竟行惡，比那在你以先的更甚，為自己立了別神，鑄了偶像，惹我發怒，將我丟在背後。You have done more evil than all who came before you. You have proceeded to make for yourself other gods and molten images to provoke Me, and you have flung Me behind your back.

¹⁰因此，我必使災禍臨到耶羅波安的家，將屬耶羅波安的男丁，無論困住的、自由的都從以色列中剪除，必除盡耶羅波安的家，如人除盡糞土一般。Because of all this, behold, I am bringing disaster on the house of Jeroboam: I will cut off from Jeroboam every male, both slave and free, in Israel; I will burn up the house of Jeroboam as one burns up dung until it is gone!

¹¹凡屬耶羅波安的人，死在城中的必被狗吃，死在田野的必被空中的鳥吃。這是耶和華說的。』Anyone belonging to Jeroboam who dies in the city will be eaten by dogs, and anyone who dies in the field will be eaten by the birds of the air.’ For the LORD has spoken.

¹²所以你起身回家去吧！你的腳一進城，你兒子就必死了。As for you, get up and go home. When your feet enter the city, the child will die.

¹³以色列眾人必為他哀哭，將他葬埋。凡屬耶羅波安的人，惟有他得入墳墓；因為在耶羅波安的家中，只有他向耶和華─以色列的　神顯出善行。All Israel will mourn for him and bury him. For this is the only one belonging to Jeroboam who will receive a proper burial, because only in him has the LORD, the God of Israel, found any good in the house of Jeroboam.

¹⁴耶和華必另立一王治理以色列。到了日期，他必剪除耶羅波安的家；那日期已經到了。Moreover, the LORD will raise up for Himself a king over Israel who will cut off the house of Jeroboam. This is the day—yes, even today!

¹⁵耶和華必擊打以色列人，使他們搖動，像水中的蘆葦一般；又將他們從耶和華賜給他們列祖的美地上拔出來，分散在大河那邊；因為他們做木偶，惹耶和華發怒。For the LORD will strike Israel as a reed is shaken in the water. He will uproot Israel from this good land that He gave their fathers, and He will scatter them beyond the Euphrates, because they have made their Asherah poles, provoking the LORD to anger.

¹⁶因耶羅波安所犯的罪，又使以色列人陷在罪裡，耶和華必將以色列人交給仇敵。」So He will give Israel over on account of the sins Jeroboam has committed and has caused Israel to commit.”

孩子死了

¹⁷耶羅波安的妻起身回去，到了得撒，剛到門檻，兒子就死了。Then Jeroboam’s wife got up and departed for Tirzah, and as soon as she stepped over the threshold of the house, the boy died.

¹⁸以色列眾人將他葬埋，為他哀哭，正如耶和華藉他僕人先知亞希雅所說的話。And they buried him, and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word that the LORD had spoken through His servant Ahijah the prophet.

耶羅波安去世

¹⁹耶羅波安其餘的事，他怎樣爭戰，怎樣作王，都寫在以色列諸王記上。As for the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he waged war and how he reigned, they are indeed written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

²⁰耶羅波安作王二十二年，就與他列祖同睡。他兒子拿答接續他作王。And the length of Jeroboam’s reign was twenty-two years, and he rested with his fathers, and his son Nadab reigned in his place.

猶大王羅波安，猶大人行惡

²¹所羅門的兒子羅波安作猶大王。他登基的時候年四十一歲，在耶路撒冷，就是耶和華從以色列眾支派中所選擇立他名的城，作王十七年。羅波安的母親名叫拿瑪，是亞捫人。Meanwhile, Rehoboam son of Solomon reigned in Judah. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the LORD had chosen from all the tribes of Israel in which to put His Name. His mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite.

²²猶大人行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，犯罪觸動他的憤恨，比他們列祖更甚。And Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and by the sins they committed they provoked Him to jealous anger more than all their fathers had done.

²³因為他們在各高岡上，各青翠樹下築壇，立柱像和木偶。They also built for themselves high places, sacred pillars, and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every green tree.

²⁴國中也有孌童。猶大人效法耶和華在以色列人面前所趕出的外邦人，行一切可憎惡的事。There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land. They imitated all the abominations of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.

示撒攻取耶路撒冷

²⁵羅波安王第五年，埃及王示撒上來攻取耶路撒冷，In the fifth year of Rehoboam’s reign, Shishak king of Egypt attacked Jerusalem.

²⁶奪了耶和華殿和王宮裡的寶物，盡都帶走，又奪去所羅門製造的金盾牌。He seized the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the royal palace. He took everything, including all the gold shields that Solomon had made.

²⁷羅波安王製造銅盾牌代替那金盾牌，交給守王宮門的護衛長看守。Then King Rehoboam made bronze shields in their place and committed them to the care of the captains of the guard on duty at the entrance to the royal palace.

²⁸王每逢進耶和華的殿，護衛兵就拿這盾牌，隨後仍將盾牌送回，放在護衛房。And whenever the king entered the house of the LORD, the guards would bear the shields, and later they would return them to the guardroom.

羅波安去世

²⁹羅波安其餘的事，凡他所行的，都寫在猶大列王記上。As for the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, along with all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

³⁰羅波安與耶羅波安時常爭戰。There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam throughout their days.

³¹羅波安與他列祖同睡，葬在大衛城他列祖的墳地裡。他母親名叫拿瑪，是亞捫人。他兒子亞比央（又名亞比雅）接續他作王。And Rehoboam rested with his fathers and was buried with them in the City of David; his mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite. And his son Abijam reigned in his place.

耶穌的弟兄不信祂

¹這事以後，耶穌在加利利遊行，不願在猶太遊行，因為猶太人想要殺他。After this, Jesus traveled throughout Galilee. He did not want to travel in Judea, because the Jews there were trying to kill Him.

²當時猶太人的住棚節近了。However, the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near.

³耶穌的弟兄就對他說：「你離開這裡上猶太去吧，叫你的門徒也看見你所行的事。So Jesus’ brothers said to Him, “Leave here and go to Judea, so that Your disciples there may see the works You are doing.

⁴人要顯揚名聲，沒有在暗處行事的；你如果行這些事，就當將自己顯明給世人看。」For no one who wants to be known publicly acts in secret. Since You are doing these things, show Yourself to the world.”

⁵因為連他的弟兄說這話，是因為不信他。For even His own brothers did not believe in Him.

⁶耶穌就對他們說：「我的時候還沒有到；你們的時候常是方便的。Therefore Jesus told them, “Although your time is always at hand, My time has not yet come.

⁷世人不能恨你們，卻是恨我，因為我指證他們所做的事是惡的。The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me, because I testify that its works are evil.

⁸你們上去過節吧，我現在不上去過這節，因為我的時候還沒有滿。」Go up to the feast on your own. I am not going up to this feast, because My time has not yet come.”

⁹耶穌說了這話，仍舊住在加利利。Having said this, Jesus remained in Galilee.

耶穌暗中上去過節

¹⁰但他弟兄上去以後，他也上去過節，不是明去，似乎是暗去的。But after His brothers had gone up to the feast, He also went—not publicly, but in secret.

¹¹正在節期，猶太人尋找耶穌，說：「他在哪裡？」So the Jews were looking for Him at the feast and asking, “Where is He?”

¹²眾人為他紛紛議論，有的說：「他是好人。」有的說：「不然，他是迷惑眾人的。」Many in the crowds were whispering about Him. Some said, “He is a good man.” But others replied, “No, He deceives the people.”

¹³只是沒有人明明地講論他，因為怕猶太人。Yet no one would speak publicly about Him for fear of the Jews.

耶穌在殿裡教訓人

¹⁴到了節期，耶穌上殿裡去教訓人。About halfway through the feast, Jesus went up to the temple courts and began to teach.

¹⁵猶太人就希奇，說：「這個人沒有學過，怎麼明白書呢？」The Jews were amazed and asked, “How did this man attain such learning without having studied?”

¹⁶耶穌說：「我的教訓不是我自己的，乃是那差我來者的。“My teaching is not My own,” Jesus replied. “It comes from Him who sent Me.

¹⁷人若立志遵著他的旨意行，就必曉得這教訓或是出於　神，或是我憑著自己說的。If anyone desires to do His will, he will know whether My teaching is from God or whether I speak on My own.

¹⁸人憑著自己說，是求自己的榮耀；惟有求那差他來者的榮耀，這人是真的，在他心裡沒有不義。He who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory, but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is a man of truth; in Him there is no falsehood.

為甚麼想要殺我

¹⁹摩西豈不是傳律法給你們嗎？你們卻沒有一個人守律法。為甚麼想要殺我呢？」Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps it. Why are you trying to kill Me?”

²⁰眾人回答說：「你是被鬼附著了！誰想要殺你？」“You have a demon,” the crowd replied. “Who is trying to kill You?”

²¹耶穌說：「我做了一件事，你們都以為希奇。Jesus answered them, “I did one miracle, and you are all amazed.

²²摩西傳割禮給你們（其實不是從摩西起的，乃是從祖先起的），因此你們也在安息日給人行割禮。But because Moses gave you circumcision, you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath (not that it is from Moses, but from the patriarchs.)

²³人若在安息日受割禮，免得違背摩西的律法，我在安息日叫一個人全然好了，你們就向我生氣嗎？If a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses will not be broken, why are you angry with Me for making the whole man well on the Sabbath?

²⁴不可按外貌斷定是非，總要按公平斷定是非。」Stop judging by outward appearances, and start judging justly.”

這是基督嗎

²⁵耶路撒冷人中有的說：「這不是他們想要殺的人嗎？Then some of the people of Jerusalem began to say, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill?

²⁶你看他還明明地講道，他們也不向他說甚麼，難道官長真知道這是基督嗎？Yet here He is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying anything to Him. Have the rulers truly recognized that this is the Christ?

²⁷然而，我們知道這個人從哪裡來；只是基督來的時候，沒有人知道他從哪裡來。」But we know where this man is from. When the Christ comes, no one will know where He is from.”

²⁸那時，耶穌在殿裡教訓人，大聲說：「你們也知道我，也知道我從哪裡來；我來並不是由於自己。但那差我來的是真的。你們不認識他，Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, “You know Me, and you know where I am from. I have not come of My own accord, but He who sent Me is true. You do not know Him,

²⁹我卻認識他；因為我是從他來的，他也是差了我來。」but I know Him, because I am from Him and He sent Me.”

³⁰他們就想要捉拿耶穌；只是沒有人下手，因為他的時候還沒有到。So they tried to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.

³¹但眾人中間有好些信他的，說：「基督來的時候，他所行的神蹟豈能比這人所行的更多嗎？」Many in the crowd, however, believed in Him and said, “When the Christ comes, will He perform more signs than this man?”

打發差役捉拿耶穌

³²法利賽人聽見眾人為耶穌這樣紛紛議論，祭司長和法利賽人就打發差役去捉拿他。When the Pharisees heard the crowd whispering these things about Jesus, they and the chief priests sent officers to arrest Him.

³³於是耶穌說：「我還有不多的時候和你們同在，以後就回到差我來的那裡去。So Jesus said, “I am with you only a little while longer, and then I am going to the One who sent Me.

³⁴你們要找我，卻找不著；我所在的地方你們不能到。」You will look for Me, but you will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come.”

³⁵猶太人就彼此對問說：「這人要往哪裡去，叫我們找不著呢？難道他要往散住希臘中的猶太人那裡去教訓希臘人嗎？At this, the Jews said to one another, “Where does He intend to go that we will not find Him? Will He go where the Jews are dispersed among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?

³⁶他說：『你們要找我，卻找不著；我所在的地方，你們不能到』，這話是甚麼意思呢？」What does He mean by saying, ‘You will look for Me, but you will not find Me,’ and, ‘Where I am, you cannot come’?”
