耶和華第二次顯現

¹所羅門建造耶和華殿和王宮，並一切所願意建造的都完畢了，Now when Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD and the royal palace, and had achieved all that he had desired to do,

²耶和華就二次向所羅門顯現，如先前在基遍向他顯現一樣，the LORD appeared to him a second time, as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.

³對他說：「你向我所禱告祈求的，我都應允了。我已將你所建的這殿分別為聖，使我的名永遠在其中；我的眼、我的心也必常在那裡。And the LORD said to him: “I have heard your prayer and petition before Me. I have consecrated this temple, which you have built, by putting My Name there forever; My eyes and My heart will be there for all time.

⁴你若效法你父大衛，存誠實正直的心行在我面前，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，謹守我的律例典章，And as for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, with a heart of integrity and uprightness, doing all I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and ordinances,

⁵我就必堅固你的國位在以色列中，直到永遠，正如我應許你父大衛說：『你的子孫必不斷人坐以色列的國位。』then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised your father David when I said, ‘You will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’

⁶倘若你們和你們的子孫轉去不跟從我，不守我指示你們的誡命律例，去事奉敬拜別神，But if indeed you or your sons turn away from following Me and do not keep the commandments and statutes I have set before you, and if you go off to serve and worship other gods,

⁷我就必將以色列人從我賜給他們的地上剪除，並且我為己名所分別為聖的殿也必捨棄不顧，使以色列人在萬民中作笑談，被譏誚。then I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, and I will banish from My presence this temple I have sanctified for My Name. Then Israel will become an object of scorn and ridicule among all peoples.

⁸這殿雖然甚高，將來經過的人必驚訝、嗤笑，說：『耶和華為何向這地和這殿如此行呢？』And when this temple has become a heap of rubble, all who pass by it will be appalled and will hiss and say, ‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’

⁹人必回答說：『是因此地的人離棄領他們列祖出埃及地之耶和華─他們的　神，去親近別神，事奉敬拜他，所以耶和華使這一切災禍臨到他們。』」And others will answer, ‘Because they have forsaken the LORD their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them—because of this, the LORD has brought all this disaster upon them.’”

送給希蘭的城邑

¹⁰所羅門建造耶和華殿和王宮，這兩所二十年才完畢了。Now at the end of the twenty years during which Solomon built these two houses, the house of the LORD and the royal palace,

¹¹泰爾王希蘭曾照所羅門所要的，資助他香柏木、松木，和金子；所羅門王就把加利利地的二十座城給了希蘭。King Solomon gave twenty towns in the land of Galilee to Hiram king of Tyre, who had supplied him with cedar and cypress logs and gold for his every desire.

¹²希蘭從泰爾出來，察看所羅門給他的城邑，就不喜悅，So Hiram went out from Tyre to inspect the towns that Solomon had given him, but he was not pleased with them.

¹³說：「我兄啊，你給我的是甚麼城邑呢？」他就給這城邑之地起名叫迦步勒，直到今日。“What are these towns you have given me, my brother?” asked Hiram, and he called them the Land of Cabul, as they are called to this day.

¹⁴希蘭給所羅門一百二十他連得金子。And Hiram had sent the king 120 talents of gold.

所羅門的工程和服苦的人

¹⁵所羅門王挑取服苦的人，是為建造耶和華的殿、自己的宮、米羅、耶路撒冷的城牆、夏瑣、米吉多，並基色。This is the account of the forced labor that King Solomon imposed to build the house of the LORD, his own palace, the supporting terraces, and the wall of Jerusalem, as well as Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.

¹⁶先前埃及王法老上來攻取基色，用火焚燒，殺了城內居住的迦南人，將城賜給他女兒所羅門的妻作妝奩。Pharaoh king of Egypt had attacked and captured Gezer. He had set it on fire, killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it as a dowry to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.

¹⁷所羅門建造基色、下伯‧和崙、So Solomon rebuilt Gezer, Lower Beth-horon,

¹⁸巴拉，並國中曠野裡的達莫，Baalath, and Tamar in the Wilderness of Judah,

¹⁹又建造所有的積貨城，並屯車和馬兵的城，與耶路撒冷、黎巴嫩，以及自己治理的全國中所願建造的。as well as all the store cities that Solomon had for his chariots and horses—whatever he desired to build in Jerusalem, Lebanon, and throughout the land of his dominion.

²⁰至於國中所剩下不屬以色列人的亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，As for all the people who remained of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites (the people who were not Israelites)—

²¹就是以色列人不能滅盡的，所羅門挑取他們的後裔作服苦的奴僕，直到今日。their descendants who remained in the land, those whom the Israelites were unable to devote to destruction—Solomon conscripted these people to be forced laborers, as they are to this day.

²²惟有以色列人，所羅門不使他們作奴僕，乃是作他的戰士、臣僕、統領、軍長、車兵長、馬兵長。But Solomon did not consign any of the Israelites to slavery, because they were his men of war, his servants, his officers, his captains, and the commanders of his chariots and cavalry.

²³所羅門有五百五十督工的，監管工人。They were also the chief officers over Solomon’s projects: 550 supervisors over the people who did the work.

²⁴法老的女兒從大衛城搬到所羅門為她建造的宮裡。那時，所羅門才建造米羅。As soon as Pharaoh’s daughter had come up from the City of David to the palace that Solomon had built for her, he built the supporting terraces.

²⁵所羅門每年三次在他為耶和華所築的壇上獻燔祭和平安祭，又在耶和華面前的壇上燒香。這樣，他建造殿的工程完畢了。Three times a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar he had built for the LORD, burning incense with them before the LORD. So he completed the temple.

所羅門的船隊

²⁶所羅門王在以東地紅海邊，靠近以祿的以旬‧迦別製造船隻。King Solomon also assembled a fleet of ships at Ezion-geber, which is near Eloth in Edom, on the shore of the Red Sea.

²⁷希蘭差遣他的僕人，就是熟悉泛海的船家，與所羅門的僕人一同坐船航海。And Hiram sent his servants, sailors who knew the sea, to serve in the fleet with Solomon’s servants.

²⁸他們到了俄斐，從那裡得了四百二十他連得金子，運到所羅門王那裡。They sailed to Ophir and imported gold from there—420 talents—and delivered it to Solomon.

示巴女王來訪

¹示巴女王聽見所羅門因耶和華之名所得的名聲，就來要用難解的話試問所羅門。Now when the queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to test him with difficult questions.

²跟隨她到耶路撒冷的人甚多，又有駱駝馱著香料、寶石，和許多金子。她來見了所羅門王，就把心裡所有的對所羅門都說出來。She arrived in Jerusalem with a very large caravan—with camels bearing spices, gold in great abundance, and precious stones. And she came to Solomon and spoke to him all that was on her mind.

³所羅門王將她所問的都答上了，沒有一句不明白、不能答的。And Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too difficult for the king to explain.

⁴示巴女王見所羅門大有智慧，和他所建造的宮室，When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, the palace he had built,

⁵席上的珍饈美味，群臣分列而坐，僕人兩旁侍立，以及他們的衣服裝飾和酒政的衣服裝飾，又見他上耶和華殿的臺階（或譯：他在耶和華殿裡所獻的燔祭），就詫異得神不守舍；the food at his table, the seating of his servants, the service and attire of his attendants, his cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he presented at the house of the LORD, it took her breath away.

⁶對王說：「我在本國裡所聽見論到你的事和你的智慧實在是真的！She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your words and wisdom is true.

⁷我先不信那些話，及至我來親眼見了才知道人所告訴我的還不到一半。你的智慧和你的福分越過我所聽見的風聲。But I did not believe these things until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half was told to me. Your wisdom and prosperity have far exceeded the report I heard.

⁸你的臣子、你的僕人常侍立在你面前聽你智慧的話是有福的！How blessed are your men! How blessed are these servants of yours who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!

⁹耶和華─你的　神是應當稱頌的！他喜悅你，使你坐以色列的國位；因為他永遠愛以色列，所以立你作王，使你秉公行義。」Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delighted in you to set you on the throne of Israel. Because of the LORD’s eternal love for Israel, He has made you king to carry out justice and righteousness.”

¹⁰於是，示巴女王將一百二十他連得金子和寶石，與極多的香料，送給所羅門王。她送給王的香料，以後奉來的不再有這樣多。Then she gave the king 120 talents of gold, a great quantity of spices, and precious stones. Never again were spices in such abundance brought in as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.

¹¹（希蘭的船隻從俄斐運了金子來，又從俄斐運了許多檀香木（或譯：烏木；下同）和寶石來。(The fleet of Hiram that brought gold from Ophir also brought from Ophir a great cargo of almug wood and precious stones.

¹²王用檀香木為耶和華殿和王宮做欄杆，又為歌唱的人做琴瑟。以後再沒有這樣的檀香木進國來，也沒有人看見過，直到如今。）The king made the almug wood into steps for the house of the LORD and for the king’s palace, and into lyres and harps for the singers. Never before had such almug wood been brought in, nor has such been seen again to this day.)

¹³示巴女王一切所要所求的，所羅門王都送給她，另外照自己的厚意餽送她。於是女王和她臣僕轉回本國去了。King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired—whatever she asked—besides what he had given her out of his royal bounty. Then she left and returned to her own country, along with her servants.

所羅門的財富

¹⁴所羅門每年所得的金子共有六百六十六他連得。The weight of gold that came to Solomon each year was 666 talents,

¹⁵另外還有商人和雜族（雜族在歷代下九章十四節是阿拉伯）的諸王，與國中的省長所進的金子。not including the revenue from the merchants, traders, and all the Arabian kings and governors of the land.

¹⁶所羅門王用錘出來的金子打成擋牌二百面，每面用金子六百舍客勒；King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold; six hundred shekels of gold went into each shield.

¹⁷又用錘出來的金子打成盾牌三百面，每面用金子三彌那，都放在黎巴嫩林宮裡。He also made three hundred small shields of hammered gold; three minas of gold went into each shield. And the king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.

象牙寶座

¹⁸王用象牙製造一個寶座，用精金包裹。Additionally, the king made a great throne of ivory and overlaid it with pure gold.

¹⁹寶座有六層臺階，座的後背是圓的，兩旁有扶手，靠近扶手有兩個獅子站立。The throne had six steps, and its back had a rounded top. There were armrests on both sides of the seat, with a lion standing beside each armrest.

²⁰六層臺階上有十二個獅子站立，每層有兩個：左邊一個，右邊一個；在列國中沒有這樣做的。Twelve lions stood on the six steps, one at either end of each step. Nothing like this had ever been made for any kingdom.

²¹所羅門王一切的飲器都是金子的。黎巴嫩林宮裡的一切器皿都是精金的。所羅門年間，銀子算不了甚麼。All King Solomon’s drinking cups were gold, and all the utensils of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. There was no silver, because it was accounted as nothing in the days of Solomon.

²²因為王有他施船隻與希蘭的船隻一同航海，三年一次，裝載金銀、象牙、猿猴、孔雀回來。For the king had the ships of Tarshish at sea with Hiram’s fleet, and once every three years the ships of Tarshish would arrive bearing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

²³所羅門王的財寶與智慧勝過天下的列王。So King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

²⁴普天下的王都求見所羅門，要聽　神賜給他智慧的話。The whole world sought an audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom that God had put in his heart.

²⁵他們各帶貢物，就是金器、銀器、衣服、軍械、香料、騾馬，每年有一定之例。Year after year, each visitor would bring his tribute: articles of silver and gold, clothing, weapons, spices, horses, and mules.

戰車和馬匹

²⁶所羅門聚集戰車馬兵，有戰車一千四百輛，馬兵一萬二千名，安置在屯車的城邑和耶路撒冷，就是王那裡。Solomon accumulated 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horses, which he stationed in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem.

²⁷王在耶路撒冷使銀子多如石頭，香柏木多如高原的桑樹。The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as abundant as sycamore in the foothills.

²⁸所羅門的馬是從埃及帶來的，是王的商人一群一群按著定價買來的。Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and Kue; the royal merchants purchased them from Kue.

²⁹從埃及買來的車，每輛價銀六百舍客勒，馬每匹一百五十舍客勒。赫人諸王和亞蘭諸王所買的車馬，也是按這價值經他們手買來的。A chariot could be imported from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. Likewise, they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of Aram.

跟隨耶穌的大群人

¹這事以後，耶穌渡過加利利海，就是提比哩亞海。After this, Jesus crossed to the other side of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of Tiberias).

²有許多人因為看見他在病人身上所行的神蹟，就跟隨他。A large crowd followed Him because they saw the signs He was performing on the sick.

³耶穌上了山，和門徒一同坐在那裡。Then Jesus went up on the mountain and sat down with His disciples.

⁴那時猶太人的逾越節近了。Now the Jewish Feast of the Passover was near.

從哪裡買餅

⁵耶穌舉目看見許多人來，就對腓力說：「我們從哪裡買餅叫這些人吃呢？」When Jesus looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?”

⁶（他說這話是要試驗腓力；他自己原知道要怎樣行。）But He was asking this to test him, for He knew what He was about to do.

⁷腓力回答說：「就是二十兩銀子的餅，叫他們各人吃一點也是不夠的。」Philip answered, “Two hundred denarii would not buy enough bread for each of them to have a small piece.”

⁸有一個門徒，就是西門•彼得的兄弟安得烈，對耶穌說：One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him,

⁹「在這裡有一個孩童，帶著五個大麥餅、兩條魚，只是分給這許多人還算甚麼呢？」“Here is a boy with five barley loaves and two small fish. But what difference will these make among so many?”

五千人吃飽

¹⁰耶穌說：「你們叫眾人坐下。」原來那地方的草多，眾人就坐下，數目約有五千。“Have the people sit down,” Jesus said. Now there was plenty of grass in that place, so the men sat down, about five thousand of them.

¹¹耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝了，就分給那坐著的人；分魚也是這樣，都隨著他們所要的。Then Jesus took the loaves and the fish, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted.

¹²他們吃飽了，耶穌對門徒說：「把剩下的零碎收拾起來，免得有糟蹋的。」And when everyone was full, He said to His disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over, so that nothing will be wasted.”

¹³他們便將那五個大麥餅的零碎，就是眾人吃了剩下的，收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。So they collected them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.

眾人要立耶穌作王

¹⁴眾人看見耶穌所行的神蹟，就說：「這真是那要到世間來的先知！」When the people saw the sign that Jesus had performed, they began to say, “Truly this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

¹⁵耶穌既知道眾人要來強逼他作王，就獨自又退到山上去了。Then Jesus, realizing that they were about to come and make Him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by Himself.

耶穌在海面上走

¹⁶到了晚上，他的門徒下海邊去，When evening came, His disciples went down to the sea,

¹⁷上了船，要過海往迦百農去。天已經黑了，耶穌還沒有來到他們那裡。got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was already dark, and Jesus had not yet gone out to them.

¹⁸忽然狂風大作，海就翻騰起來。A strong wind was blowing, and the sea grew agitated.

¹⁹門徒搖櫓，約行了十里多路，看見耶穌在海面上走，漸漸近了船，他們就害怕。When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the sea—and they were terrified.

²⁰耶穌對他們說：「是我，不要怕！」But Jesus spoke up: “It is I; do not be afraid.”

²¹門徒就喜歡接他上船，船立時到了他們所要去的地方。Then they were willing to take Him into the boat, and at once the boat reached the shore where they were heading.
