大衛作全以色列的王

¹以色列眾支派來到希伯崙見大衛，說：「我們原是你的骨肉。Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, “Here we are, your own flesh and blood.

²從前掃羅作我們王的時候，率領以色列人出入的是你；耶和華也曾應許你說：『你必牧養我的民以色列，作以色列的君。』」Even in times past, while Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel out and brought them back. And to you the LORD said, ‘You will shepherd My people Israel, and you will be ruler over them.’”

³於是以色列的長老都來到希伯崙見大衛王，大衛在希伯崙耶和華面前與他們立約，他們就膏大衛作以色列的王。So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, where King David made with them a covenant before the LORD. And they anointed him king over Israel.

⁴大衛登基的時候年三十歲，在位四十年；David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years.

⁵在希伯崙作猶大王七年零六個月，在耶路撒冷作以色列和猶大王三十三年。In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah.

攻取錫安的保障

⁶大衛和跟隨他的人到了耶路撒冷，要攻打住那地方的耶布斯人。耶布斯人對大衛說：「你若不趕出瞎子、瘸子，必不能進這地方」；心裡想大衛決不能進去。Now the king and his men marched to Jerusalem against the Jebusites who inhabited the land. The Jebusites said to David: “You will never get in here. Even the blind and lame can repel you.” For they thought, “David cannot get in here.”

⁷然而大衛攻取錫安的保障，就是大衛的城。Nevertheless, David captured the fortress of Zion (that is, the City of David).

⁸當日，大衛說：「誰攻打耶布斯人，當上水溝攻打我心裡所恨惡的瘸子、瞎子。」從此有俗語說：「在那裡有瞎子、瘸子，他不能進屋去。」On that day he said, “Whoever attacks the Jebusites must use the water shaft to reach the lame and blind who are despised by David.” That is why it is said, “The blind and the lame will never enter the palace.”

⁹大衛住在保障裡，給保障起名叫大衛城。大衛又從米羅以裡，周圍築牆。So David took up residence in the fortress and called it the City of David. He built it up all the way around, from the supporting terraces inward.

¹⁰大衛日見強盛，因為耶和華─萬軍之　神與他同在。And David became greater and greater, for the LORD God of Hosts was with him.

大衛的宮殿與家室

¹¹泰爾王希蘭將香柏木運到大衛那裡，又差遣使者和木匠、石匠給大衛建造宮殿。Now Hiram king of Tyre sent envoys to David, along with cedar logs, carpenters, and stonemasons, and they built a palace for David.

¹²大衛就知道耶和華堅立他作以色列王，又為自己的民以色列使他的國興旺。And David realized that the LORD had established him as king over Israel and had exalted his kingdom for the sake of His people Israel.

¹³大衛離開希伯崙之後，在耶路撒冷又立后妃，又生兒女。After he had arrived from Hebron, David took more concubines and wives from Jerusalem, and more sons and daughters were born to him.

¹⁴在耶路撒冷所生的兒子是沙母亞、朔罷、拿單、所羅門、These are the names of the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,

¹⁵益轄、以利書亞、尼斐、雅非亞、Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia,

¹⁶以利沙瑪、以利雅大、以利法列。Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet.

兩次打敗非利士人

¹⁷非利士人聽見人膏大衛作以色列王，非利士眾人就上來尋索大衛；大衛聽見，就下到保障。When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they all went in search of him; but David learned of this and went down to the stronghold.

¹⁸非利士人來了，布散在利乏音谷。Now the Philistines had come and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim.

¹⁹大衛求問耶和華說：「我可以上去攻打非利士人嗎？你將他們交在我手裡嗎？」耶和華說：「你可以上去，我必將非利士人交在你手裡。」So David inquired of the LORD, “Should I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” “Go up,” replied the LORD, “for I will surely deliver the Philistines into your hand.”

²⁰大衛來到巴力‧毘拉心，在那裡擊殺非利士人，說：「耶和華在我面前沖破敵人，如同水沖去一般。」因此稱那地方為巴力‧毘拉心。So David went to Baal-perazim, where he defeated the Philistines and said, “Like a bursting flood, the LORD has burst out against my enemies before me.” So he called that place Baal-perazim.

²¹非利士人將偶像撇在那裡，大衛和跟隨他的人拿去了。There the Philistines abandoned their idols, and David and his men carried them away.

²²非利士人又上來，布散在利乏音谷。Once again the Philistines came up and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim.

²³大衛求問耶和華；耶和華說：「不要一直地上去，要轉到他們後頭，從桑林對面攻打他們。So David inquired of the LORD, who answered, “Do not march straight up, but circle around behind them and attack them in front of the balsam trees.

²⁴你聽見桑樹梢上有腳步的聲音，就要急速前去，因為那時耶和華已經在你前頭去攻打非利士人的軍隊。」As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, move quickly, because this will mean that the LORD has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”

²⁵大衛就遵著耶和華所吩咐的去行，攻打非利士人，從迦巴直到基色。So David did as the LORD had commanded him, and he struck down the Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.

運約櫃，烏撒被擊殺

¹大衛又聚集以色列中所有挑選的人三萬。David again assembled the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand in all.

²大衛起身，率領跟隨他的眾人前往，要從巴拉‧猶大將　神的約櫃運來；這約櫃就是坐在二基路伯上萬軍之耶和華留名的約櫃。And he and all his troops set out for Baale of Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name—the name of the LORD of Hosts, who is enthroned between the cherubim that are on it.

³他們將　神的約櫃從岡上亞比拿達的家裡抬出來，放在新車上；亞比拿達的兩個兒子烏撒和亞希約趕這新車。They set the ark of God on a new cart and brought it from the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart,

⁴他們將　神的約櫃從岡上亞比拿達家裡抬出來的時候，亞希約在櫃前行走。bringing with it the ark of God. And Ahio was walking in front of the ark.

⁵大衛和以色列的全家在耶和華面前，用松木製造的各樣樂器和琴、瑟、鼓、鈸、鑼，作樂跳舞。David and all the house of Israel were celebrating before the LORD with all kinds of wood instruments, harps, stringed instruments, tambourines, sistrums, and cymbals.

⁶到了拿艮的禾場，因為牛失前蹄（或譯：驚跳），烏撒就伸手扶住　神的約櫃。When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of the ark of God, because the oxen had stumbled.

⁷神耶和華向烏撒發怒，因這錯誤擊殺他，他就死在　神的約櫃旁。And the anger of the LORD burned against Uzzah, and God struck him down on the spot for his irreverence, and he died there beside the ark of God.

⁸大衛因耶和華擊殺（原文是闖殺）烏撒，心裡愁煩，就稱那地方為毘列斯‧烏撒，直到今日。Then David became angry because the LORD had burst forth against Uzzah. So he named that place Perez-uzzah, as it is called to this day.

約櫃留在俄別以東家

⁹那日，大衛懼怕耶和華，說：「耶和華的約櫃怎可運到我這裡來？」That day David feared the LORD and asked, “How can the ark of the LORD ever come to me?”

¹⁰於是大衛不肯將耶和華的約櫃運進大衛的城，卻運到迦特人俄別‧以東的家中。So he was unwilling to move the ark of the LORD to the City of David; instead, he took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

¹¹耶和華的約櫃在迦特人俄別‧以東家中三個月；耶和華賜福給俄別‧以東和他的全家。Thus the ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and all his household.

大衛跳舞迎約櫃進城

¹²有人告訴大衛王說：「耶和華因為約櫃賜福給俄別‧以東的家和一切屬他的。」大衛就去，歡歡喜喜地將　神的約櫃從俄別‧以東家中抬到大衛的城裡。Now it was reported to King David, “The LORD has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and had the ark of God brought up from the house of Obed-edom into the City of David with rejoicing.

¹³抬耶和華約櫃的人走了六步，大衛就獻牛與肥羊為祭。When those carrying the ark of the LORD had advanced six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf.

¹⁴大衛穿著細麻布的以弗得，在耶和華面前極力跳舞。And David, wearing a linen ephod, danced with all his might before the LORD,

¹⁵這樣，大衛和以色列的全家歡呼吹角，將耶和華的約櫃抬上來。while he and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting and the sounding of the ram’s horn.

¹⁶耶和華的約櫃進了大衛城的時候，掃羅的女兒米甲從窗戶裡觀看，見大衛王在耶和華面前踴躍跳舞，心裡就輕視他。As the ark of the LORD was entering the City of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from a window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, and she despised him in her heart.

¹⁷眾人將耶和華的約櫃請進去，安放在所預備的地方，就是在大衛所搭的帳幕裡。大衛在耶和華面前獻燔祭和平安祭。So they brought the ark of the LORD and set it in its place inside the tent that David had pitched for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

¹⁸大衛獻完了燔祭和平安祭，就奉萬軍之耶和華的名給民祝福，When David had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of Hosts.

¹⁹並且分給以色列眾人，無論男女，每人一個餅，一塊肉，一個葡萄餅；眾人就各回各家去了。Then he distributed to every man and woman among the multitude of Israel a loaf of bread, a date cake, and a raisin cake. And all the people departed, each to his own home.

米甲輕視大衛

²⁰大衛回家要給眷屬祝福；掃羅的女兒米甲出來迎接他，說：「以色列王今日在臣僕的婢女眼前露體，如同一個輕賤人無恥露體一樣，有好大的榮耀啊！」When David returned home to bless his own household, Saul’s daughter Michal came out to meet him. “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today!” she said. “He has uncovered himself today in the sight of the maidservants of his subjects, like a vulgar person would do.”

²¹大衛對米甲說：「這是在耶和華面前；耶和華已揀選我，廢了你父和你父的全家，立我作耶和華民以色列的君，所以我必在耶和華面前跳舞。But David said to Michal, “I was dancing before the LORD, who chose me over your father and all his house when He appointed me ruler over the LORD’s people Israel. I will celebrate before the LORD,

²²我也必更加卑微，自己看為輕賤。你所說的那些婢女，她們倒要尊敬我。」and I will humiliate and humble myself even more than this. Yet I will be honored by the maidservants of whom you have spoken.”

²³掃羅的女兒米甲，直到死日，沒有生養兒女。And Michal the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.

大衛想為神建殿

¹王住在自己宮中，耶和華使他安靖，不被四圍的仇敵擾亂。After the king had settled into his palace and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies around him,

²那時，王對先知拿單說：「看哪，我住在香柏木的宮中，　神的約櫃反在幔子裡。」he said to Nathan the prophet, “Here I am, living in a house of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent.”

³拿單對王說：「你可以照你的心意而行，因為耶和華與你同在。」And Nathan replied to the king, “Go and do all that is in your heart, for the LORD is with you.”

神藉拿單的應許

⁴當夜，耶和華的話臨到拿單說：But that night the word of the LORD came to Nathan, saying,

⁵「你去告訴我僕人大衛，說耶和華如此說：『你豈可建造殿宇給我居住呢？“Go and tell My servant David that this is what the LORD says: Are you the one to build for Me a house to dwell in?

⁶自從我領以色列人出埃及直到今日，我未曾住過殿宇，常在會幕和帳幕中行走。For I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt until this day, but I have moved about with a tent as My dwelling.

⁷凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列一支派的士師，就是我吩咐牧養我民以色列的說：你們為何不給我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？』In all My journeys with all the Israelites, have I ever asked any of the leaders I appointed to shepherd My people Israel, ‘Why haven’t you built Me a house of cedar?’

⁸「現在，你要告訴我僕人大衛，說萬軍之耶和華如此說：『我從羊圈中將你召來，叫你不再跟從羊群，立你作我民以色列的君。Now then, you are to tell My servant David that this is what the LORD of Hosts says: I took you from the pasture, from following the flock, to be the ruler over My people Israel.

⁹你無論往哪裡去，我常與你同在，剪除你的一切仇敵。我必使你得大名，好像世上大大有名的人一樣。I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make for you a name like that of the greatest in the land.

¹⁰我必為我民以色列選定一個地方，栽培他們，使他們住自己的地方，不再遷移；凶惡之子也不像從前擾害他們，And I will provide a place for My people Israel and will plant them so that they may dwell in a place of their own and be disturbed no more. No longer will the sons of wickedness oppress them as they did at the beginning

¹¹並不像我命士師治理我民以色列的時候一樣。我必使你安靖，不被一切仇敵擾亂，並且我─耶和華應許你，必為你建立家室。and have done since the day I appointed judges over My people Israel. I will give you rest from all your enemies. The LORD declares to you that He Himself will establish a house for you.

¹²你壽數滿足、與你列祖同睡的時候，我必使你的後裔接續你的位；我也必堅定他的國。And when your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom.

¹³他必為我的名建造殿宇；我必堅定他的國位，直到永遠。He will build a house for My Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

¹⁴我要作他的父，他要作我的子；他若犯了罪，我必用人的杖責打他，用人的鞭責罰他。I will be his Father, and he will be My son. When he does wrong, I will discipline him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men.

¹⁵但我的慈愛仍不離開他，像離開在你面前所廢棄的掃羅一樣。But My loving devotion will never be removed from him as I removed it from Saul, whom I removed from before you.

¹⁶你的家和你的國必在我（原文是你）面前永遠堅立。你的國位也必堅定，直到永遠。』」Your house and kingdom will endure forever before Me, and your throne will be established forever.”

¹⁷拿單就按這一切話，照這默示，告訴大衛。So Nathan relayed to David all the words of this entire revelation.

大衛感恩的禱告

¹⁸於是大衛王進去，坐在耶和華面前，說：「主耶和華啊，我是誰？我的家算甚麼？你竟使我到這地步呢？Then King David went in, sat before the LORD, and said, “Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that You have brought me this far?

¹⁹主耶和華啊，這在你眼中還看為小，又應許你僕人的家至於久遠。主耶和華啊，這豈是人所常遇的事嗎？And as if this was a small thing in Your eyes, O Lord GOD, You have also spoken about the future of the house of Your servant. Is this Your custom with man, O Lord GOD?

²⁰主耶和華啊，我還有何言可以對你說呢？因為你知道你的僕人。What more can David say to You? For You know Your servant, O Lord GOD.

²¹你行這大事使僕人知道，是因你所應許的話，也是照你的心意。For the sake of Your word and according to Your own heart, You have accomplished this great thing and revealed it to Your servant.

²²主耶和華啊，你本為大，照我們耳中聽見，沒有可比你的；除你以外再無　神。How great You are, O Lord GOD! For there is none like You, and there is no God but You, according to everything we have heard with our own ears.

²³世上有何民能比你的民以色列呢？你從埃及救贖他們作自己的子民，又在你贖出來的民面前行大而可畏的事，驅逐列邦人和他們的　神，顯出你的大名。And who is like Your people Israel—the one nation on earth whom God went out to redeem as a people for Himself and to make a name for Himself? You performed great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before Your people, whom You redeemed for Yourself from Egypt.

²⁴你曾堅立你的民以色列作你的子民，直到永遠；你─耶和華也作了他們的　神。For You have established Your people Israel as Your very own forever, and You, O LORD, have become their God.

²⁵「耶和華　神啊，你所應許僕人和僕人家的話，求你堅定，直到永遠；照你所說的而行。And now, O LORD God, confirm forever the word You have spoken concerning Your servant and his house. Do as You have promised,

²⁶願人永遠尊你的名為大，說：『萬軍之耶和華是治理以色列的　神。』這樣，你僕人大衛的家必在你面前堅立。so that Your name will be magnified forever when it is said, ‘The LORD of Hosts is God over Israel.’ And the house of Your servant David will be established before You.

²⁷萬軍之耶和華─以色列的　神啊，因你啟示你的僕人說：『我必為你建立家室』，所以僕人大膽向你如此祈禱。For You, O LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, have revealed this to Your servant when You said, ‘I will build a house for you.’ Therefore Your servant has found the courage to offer this prayer to You.

²⁸「主耶和華啊，惟有你是　神。你的話是真實的；你也應許將這福氣賜給僕人。And now, O Lord GOD, You are God! Your words are true, and You have promised this goodness to Your servant.

²⁹現在求你賜福與僕人的家，可以永存在你面前。主耶和華啊，這是你所應許的。願你永遠賜福與僕人的家！」Now therefore, may it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You. For You, O Lord GOD, have spoken, and with Your blessing the house of Your servant will be blessed forever.”

西門替耶穌背十字架

²⁶帶耶穌去的時候，有一個古利奈人西門，從鄉下來；他們就抓住他，把十字架擱在他身上，叫他背著跟隨耶穌。As the soldiers led Him away, they seized Simon of Cyrene on his way in from the country, and they put the cross on him to carry behind Jesus.

不要為我哭

²⁷有許多百姓跟隨耶穌，內中有好些婦女；婦女們為他號咷痛哭。A great number of people followed Him, including women who kept mourning and wailing for Him.

²⁸耶穌轉身對她們說：「耶路撒冷的女子，不要為我哭，當為自己和自己的兒女哭。But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

²⁹因為日子要到，人必說：『不生育的，和未曾懷胎的，未曾乳養嬰孩的，有福了！』Look, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore, and breasts that never nursed!’

³⁰那時，人要向大山說：倒在我們身上！向小山說：遮蓋我們！At that time ‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”’

³¹「這些事既行在有汁水的樹上，那枯乾的樹將來怎麼樣呢？」For if men do these things while the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?”

在髑髏地被釘

³²又有兩個犯人，和耶穌一同帶來處死。Two others, who were criminals, were also led away to be executed with Jesus.

³³到了一個地方，名叫「髑髏地」，就在那裡把耶穌釘在十字架上，又釘了兩個犯人：一個在左邊，一個在右邊。When they came to the place called The Skull, they crucified Him there, along with the criminals, one on His right and the other on His left.

³⁴當下耶穌說：「父啊！赦免他們；因為他們所做的，他們不曉得。」兵丁就拈鬮分他的衣服。Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up His garments by casting lots.

眾人譏誚

³⁵百姓站在那裡觀看。官府也嗤笑他，說：「他救了別人；他若是基督，　神所揀選的，可以救自己吧！」The people stood watching, and the rulers sneered at Him, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ of God, the Chosen One.”

³⁶兵丁也戲弄他，上前拿醋送給他喝，The soldiers also mocked Him and came up to offer Him sour wine.

³⁷說：「你若是猶太人的王，可以救自己吧！」“If You are the King of the Jews,” they said, “save Yourself!”

³⁸在耶穌以上有一個牌子（有古卷加：用希臘、羅馬、希伯來的文字）寫著：「這是猶太人的王。」Above Him was posted an inscription: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

同釘的犯人

³⁹那同釘的兩個犯人有一個譏笑他，說：「你不是基督嗎？可以救自己和我們吧！」One of the criminals who hung there heaped abuse on Him. “Are You not the Christ?” he said. “Save Yourself and us!”

⁴⁰那一個就應聲責備他，說：「你既是一樣受刑的，還不怕　神嗎？But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same judgment?

⁴¹我們是應該的，因我們所受的與我們所做的相稱，但這個人沒有做過一件不好的事。」We are punished justly, for we are receiving what our actions deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”

⁴²就說：「耶穌啊，你得國降臨的時候，求你記念我！」Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”

⁴³耶穌對他說：「我實在告訴你，今日你要同我在樂園裡了。」And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

遍地黑暗，幔子裂開

⁴⁴那時約有午正，遍地都黑暗了，直到申初，It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over all the land until the ninth hour.

⁴⁵日頭變黑了；殿裡的幔子從當中裂為兩半。The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn down the middle.

⁴⁶耶穌大聲喊著說：「父啊！我將我的靈魂交在你手裡。」說了這話，氣就斷了。Then Jesus called out in a loud voice, “Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.” And when He had said this, He breathed His last.

百夫長的見證

⁴⁷百夫長看見所成的事，就歸榮耀與　神，說：「這真是個義人！」When the centurion saw what had happened, he gave glory to God, saying, “Surely this was a righteous man.”

⁴⁸聚集觀看的眾人見了這所成的事都捶著胸回去了。And when all the people who had gathered for this spectacle saw what had happened, they returned home beating their breasts.

⁴⁹還有一切與耶穌熟識的人，和從加利利跟著他來的婦女們，都遠遠地站著看這些事。But all those who knew Jesus, including the women who had followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance watching these things.

約瑟安葬耶穌

⁵⁰有一個人名叫約瑟，是個議士，為人善良公義；Now there was a Council member named Joseph, a good and righteous man,

⁵¹眾人所謀所為，他並沒有附從。他本是猶太、亞利馬太城裡素常盼望　神國的人。who had not consented to their decision or action. He was from the Judean town of Arimathea and was waiting for the kingdom of God.

⁵²這人去見彼拉多，求耶穌的身體，He went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus.

⁵³就取下來，用細麻布裹好，安放在石頭鑿成的墳墓裡；那裡頭從來沒有葬過人。Then he took it down, wrapped it in a linen cloth, and placed it in a tomb cut into the rock, where no one had yet been laid.

⁵⁴那日是預備日，安息日也快到了。It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was beginning.

婦女預備香料

⁵⁵那些從加利利和耶穌同來的婦女跟在後面，看見了墳墓和他的身體怎樣安放。The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how His body was placed.

⁵⁶她們就回去，預備了香料香膏。她們在安息日，便遵著誡命安息了。Then they returned to prepare spices and perfumes. And they rested on the Sabbath, according to the commandment.
