大衛到挪伯見祭司

¹大衛到了挪伯祭司亞希米勒那裡，亞希米勒戰戰兢兢地出來迎接他，問他說：「你為甚麼獨自來，沒有人跟隨呢？」Then David came to Nob, to Ahimelech the priest. And when Ahimelech met David, he trembled and asked him, “Why are you alone? Why is no one with you?”

²大衛回答祭司亞希米勒說：「王吩咐我一件事說：『我差遣你委託你的這件事，不要使人知道。』故此我已派定少年人在某處等候我。“The king has given me a mission,” David replied. “He told me no one is to know about the mission on which I am sending you. And I have directed my young men to meet me at a certain place.

³現在你手下有甚麼？求你給我五個餅或是別樣的食物。」Now then, what do you have on hand? Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever can be found.”

⁴祭司對大衛說：「我手下沒有尋常的餅，只有聖餅；若少年人沒有親近婦人才可以給。」“There is no common bread on hand,” the priest replied, “but there is some consecrated bread—provided that the young men have kept themselves from women.”

⁵大衛對祭司說：「實在約有三日我們沒有親近婦人；我出來的時候，雖是尋常行路，少年人的器皿還是潔淨的；何況今日不更是潔淨嗎？」David answered, “Women have indeed been kept from us, as is usual when I set out. And the bodies of the young men are holy even on common missions. How much more so today!”

⁶祭司就拿聖餅給他；因為在那裡沒有別樣餅，只有更換新餅，從耶和華面前撤下來的陳設餅。So the priest gave him the consecrated bread, since there was no bread there but the Bread of the Presence, which had been removed from before the LORD and replaced with hot bread on the day it was taken away.

⁷（當日有掃羅的一個臣子留在耶和華面前。他名叫多益，是以東人，作掃羅的司牧長。）Now one of Saul’s servants was there that day, detained before the LORD. And his name was Doeg the Edomite, the chief shepherd for Saul.

取得歌利亞的刀

⁸大衛問亞希米勒說：「你手下有槍有刀沒有？因為王的事甚急，連刀劍器械我都沒有帶。」Then David asked Ahimelech, “Is there not a spear or sword on hand here? For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s mission was urgent.”

⁹祭司說：「你在以拉谷殺非利士人歌利亞的那刀在這裡，裹在布中，放在以弗得後邊，你要就可以拿去；除此以外，再沒有別的。」大衛說：「這刀沒有可比的！求你給我。」The priest replied, “The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, is here; it is wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you want, you may take it. For there is no other but this one here.” And David said, “There is none like it; give it to me.”

在迦特裝瘋

¹⁰那日大衛起來，躲避掃羅，逃到迦特王亞吉那裡。That day David fled from Saul and went to Achish king of Gath.

¹¹亞吉的臣僕對亞吉說：「這不是以色列國王大衛嗎？那裡的婦女跳舞唱和，不是指著他說『掃羅殺死千千，大衛殺死萬萬』嗎？」But the servants of Achish said to him, “Is this not David, the king of the land? Did they not sing about him in their dances, saying: ‘Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands’?”

¹²大衛將這話放在心裡，甚懼怕迦特王亞吉，Now David took these words to heart and was very much afraid of Achish the king of Gath.

¹³就在眾人面前改變了尋常的舉動，在他們手下假裝瘋癲，在城門的門扇上胡寫亂畫，使唾沫流在鬍子上。So he changed his behavior before them and feigned madness in their hands; he scratched on the doors of the gate and let his saliva run down his beard.

¹⁴亞吉對臣僕說：「你們看，這人是瘋子。為甚麼帶他到我這裡來呢？Then Achish said to his servants, “Look, you can see that the man is insane! Why have you brought him to me?

¹⁵我豈缺少瘋子，你們帶這人來在我面前瘋癲嗎？這人豈可進我的家呢？」Am I in need of madmen, that you have brought this man to rave in my presence? Must this man come into my house?”

亞杜蘭洞的四百人

¹大衛就離開那裡，逃到亞杜蘭洞。他的弟兄和他父親的全家聽見了，就都下到他那裡。So David left Gath and took refuge in the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and the rest of his father’s household heard about it, they went down to him there.

²凡受窘迫的、欠債的、心裡苦惱的都聚集到大衛那裡；大衛就作他們的頭目，跟隨他的約有四百人。And all who were distressed or indebted or discontented rallied around him, and he became their leader. About four hundred men were with him.

安頓父母在摩押

³大衛從那裡往摩押的米斯巴去，對摩押王說：「求你容我父母搬來，住在你們這裡，等我知道　神要為我怎樣行。」From there David went to Mizpeh of Moab, where he said to the king of Moab, “Please let my father and mother stay with you until I learn what God will do for me.”

⁴大衛領他父母到摩押王面前。大衛住山寨多少日子，他父母也住摩押王那裡多少日子。So he left them in the care of the king of Moab, and they stayed with him the whole time David was in the stronghold.

⁵先知迦得對大衛說：「你不要住在山寨，要往猶大地去。」大衛就離開那裡，進入哈列的樹林。Then the prophet Gad said to David, “Do not stay in the stronghold. Depart and go into the land of Judah.” So David left and went to the forest of Hereth.

掃羅責怪臣僕

⁶掃羅在基比亞的拉瑪，坐在垂絲柳樹下，手裡拿著槍，眾臣僕侍立在左右。掃羅聽見大衛和跟隨他的人在何處，Soon Saul learned that David and his men had been discovered. At that time Saul was sitting under the tamarisk tree on the hill at Gibeah, with his spear in hand and all his servants standing around him.

⁷就對左右侍立的臣僕說：「便雅憫人哪，你們要聽我的話！耶西的兒子能將田地和葡萄園賜給你們各人嗎？能立你們各人作千夫長百夫長嗎？Then Saul said to his servants, “Listen, men of Benjamin! Is the son of Jesse giving all of you fields and vineyards and making you commanders of thousands or hundreds?

⁸你們竟都結黨害我！我的兒子與耶西的兒子結盟的時候，無人告訴我；我的兒子挑唆我的臣子謀害我，就如今日的光景，也無人告訴我，為我憂慮。」Is that why all of you have conspired against me? Not one of you told me that my own son had made a covenant with the son of Jesse. Not one of you has shown concern for me or revealed to me that my son has stirred up my own servant to lie in wait against me, as is the case today.”

多益告密

⁹那時以東人多益站在掃羅的臣僕中，對他說：「我曾看見耶西的兒子到了挪伯，亞希突的兒子亞希米勒那裡。But Doeg the Edomite, who had stationed himself with Saul’s servants, answered: “I saw the son of Jesse come to Ahimelech son of Ahitub at Nob.

¹⁰亞希米勒為他求問耶和華，又給他食物，並給他殺非利士人歌利亞的刀。」Ahimelech inquired of the LORD for him and gave him provisions. He also gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.”

掃羅殺挪伯的祭司

¹¹王就打發人將祭司亞希突的兒子亞希米勒和他父親的全家，就是住挪伯的祭司都召了來；他們就來見王。Then the king sent messengers to summon Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and his father’s whole family, who were priests at Nob. And all of them came to the king.

¹²掃羅說：「亞希突的兒子，要聽我的話！」他回答說：「主啊，我在這裡。」“Listen now, son of Ahitub,” said Saul. “Here I am, my lord,” he replied.

¹³掃羅對他說：「你為甚麼與耶西的兒子結黨害我，將食物和刀給他，又為他求問　神，使他起來謀害我，就如今日的光景？」And Saul asked him, “Why have you and the son of Jesse conspired against me? You gave him bread and a sword and inquired of God for him so that he could rise up against me to lie in wait, as he is doing today.”

¹⁴亞希米勒回答王說：「王的臣僕中有誰比大衛忠心呢？他是王的女婿，又是王的參謀，並且在王家中是尊貴的。Ahimelech answered the king, “Who among all your servants is as faithful as David, the king’s son-in-law, the captain of your bodyguard and honored in your house?

¹⁵我豈是從今日才為他求問　神呢？斷不是這樣！王不要將罪歸我和我父的全家；因為這事，無論大小，僕人都不知道。」Was that day the first time I inquired of God for him? Far be it from me! Let not the king accuse your servant or any of my father’s household, for your servant knew nothing of this whole affair—not in part or in whole.”

¹⁶王說：「亞希米勒啊，你和你父的全家都是該死的！」But the king replied, “You will surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father’s house!”

¹⁷王就吩咐左右的侍衛說：「你們去殺耶和華的祭司；因為他們幫助大衛，又知道大衛逃跑，竟沒有告訴我。」掃羅的臣子卻不肯伸手殺耶和華的祭司。Then the king ordered the guards at his side, “Turn and kill the priests of the LORD, because they too sided with David. For they knew he was fleeing, but they did not tell me.” But the king’s servants would not lift a hand to strike the priests of the LORD.

¹⁸王吩咐多益說：「你去殺祭司吧！」以東人多益就去殺祭司，那日殺了穿細麻布以弗得的八十五人；So the king ordered Doeg, “You turn and strike down the priests!” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests himself. On that day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

¹⁹又用刀將祭司城挪伯中的男女、孩童、吃奶的，和牛、羊、驢盡都殺滅。He also put to the sword Nob, the city of the priests, with its men and women, children and infants, oxen, donkeys, and sheep.

亞比亞他逃到大衛那裡

²⁰亞希突的兒子亞希米勒有一個兒子，名叫亞比亞他，逃到大衛那裡。But one of the sons of Ahimelech son of Ahitub escaped. His name was Abiathar, and he fled to David.

²¹亞比亞他將掃羅殺耶和華祭司的事告訴大衛。And Abiathar told David that Saul had killed the priests of the LORD.

²²大衛對亞比亞他說：「那日我見以東人多益在那裡，就知道他必告訴掃羅。你父的全家喪命，都是因我的緣故。Then David said to Abiathar, “I knew that Doeg the Edomite was there that day, and that he was sure to tell Saul. I myself am responsible for the lives of everyone in your father’s house.

²³你可以住在我這裡，不要懼怕。因為尋索你命的就是尋索我的命；你在我這裡可得保全。」Stay with me; do not be afraid, for he who seeks your life is seeking mine as well. You will be safe with me.”

大衛拯救基伊拉

¹有人告訴大衛說：「非利士人攻擊基伊拉，搶奪禾場。」Now it was reported to David, “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and looting the threshing floors.”

²所以大衛求問耶和華說：「我去攻打那些非利士人可以不可以？」耶和華對大衛說：「你可以去攻打非利士人，拯救基伊拉。」So David inquired of the LORD, “Should I go and attack these Philistines?” And the LORD said to David, “Go and attack the Philistines and save Keilah.”

³跟隨大衛的人對他說：「我們在猶大地這裡尚且懼怕，何況往基伊拉去攻打非利士人的軍旅呢？」But David’s men said to him, “Look, we are afraid here in Judah; how much more if we go to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines?”

⁴大衛又求問耶和華。耶和華回答說：「你起身下基伊拉去，我必將非利士人交在你手裡。」Once again, David inquired of the LORD, and the LORD answered him: “Go at once to Keilah, for I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.”

⁵大衛和跟隨他的人往基伊拉去，與非利士人打仗，大大殺敗他們，又奪獲他們的牲畜。這樣，大衛救了基伊拉的居民。Then David and his men went to Keilah, fought against the Philistines, and carried off their livestock, striking them with a mighty blow. So David saved the people of Keilah.

⁶亞希米勒的兒子亞比亞他逃到基伊拉見大衛的時候，手裡拿著以弗得。(Now Abiathar son of Ahimelech had brought the ephod with him when he fled to David at Keilah.)

基伊拉人要交出大衛

⁷有人告訴掃羅說：「大衛到了基伊拉。」掃羅說：「他進了有門有閂的城，困閉在裡頭；這是　神將他交在我手裡了。」When Saul was told that David had gone to Keilah, he said, “God has delivered him into my hand, for he has trapped himself by entering a town with gates and bars.”

⁸於是掃羅招聚眾民，要下去攻打基伊拉城，圍困大衛和跟隨他的人。Then Saul summoned all his troops to go to war at Keilah and besiege David and his men.

⁹大衛知道掃羅設計謀害他，就對祭司亞比亞他說：「將以弗得拿過來。」When David learned that Saul was plotting evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod.”

¹⁰大衛禱告說：「耶和華─以色列的　神啊，你僕人聽真了掃羅要往基伊拉來，為我的緣故滅城。And David said, “O LORD, God of Israel, Your servant has heard that Saul intends to come to Keilah and destroy the city on my account.

¹¹基伊拉人將我交在掃羅手裡不交？掃羅照著你僕人所聽的話下來不下來？耶和華─以色列的　神啊，求你指示僕人！」耶和華說：「掃羅必下來。」Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as Your servant has heard? O LORD, God of Israel, please tell Your servant.” “He will,” said the LORD.

¹²大衛又說：「基伊拉人將我和跟隨我的人交在掃羅手裡不交？」耶和華說：「必交出來。」So David asked, “Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me and my men into the hand of Saul?” “They will,” said the LORD.

¹³大衛和跟隨他的約有六百人，就起身出了基伊拉，往他們所能往的地方去。有人告訴掃羅，大衛離開基伊拉逃走；於是掃羅不出來了。Then David and his men, about six hundred strong, set out and departed from Keilah, moving from place to place. When Saul was told that David had escaped from Keilah, he declined to go forth.

掃羅尋索，約拿單堅固大衛

¹⁴大衛住在曠野的山寨裡，常在西弗曠野的山地。掃羅天天尋索大衛，　神卻不將大衛交在他手裡。And David stayed in the wilderness strongholds and in the hill country of the Wilderness of Ziph. Day after day Saul searched for him, but God would not deliver David into his hand.

¹⁵大衛知道掃羅出來尋索他的命。那時，他住在西弗曠野的樹林裡；While David was in Horesh in the Wilderness of Ziph, he saw that Saul had come out to take his life.

¹⁶掃羅的兒子約拿單起身，往那樹林裡去見大衛，使他倚靠　神得以堅固，And Saul’s son Jonathan came to David in Horesh and strengthened his hand in God,

¹⁷對他說：「不要懼怕！我父掃羅的手必不加害於你；你必作以色列的王，我也作你的宰相。這事我父掃羅知道了。」saying, “Do not be afraid, for my father Saul will never lay a hand on you. And you will be king over Israel, and I will be your second-in-command. Even my father Saul knows this is true.”

¹⁸於是二人在耶和華面前立約。大衛仍住在樹林裡，約拿單回家去了。So the two of them made a covenant before the LORD. And David remained in Horesh, while Jonathan went home.

西弗人告密

¹⁹西弗人上到基比亞見掃羅，說：「大衛不是在我們那裡的樹林裡山寨中、曠野南邊的哈基拉山藏著嗎？Then the Ziphites came up to Saul at Gibeah and said, “Is not David hiding among us in the strongholds at Horesh, on the hill of Hachilah south of Jeshimon?

²⁰王啊，請你隨你的心願下來，我們必親自將他交在王的手裡。」Now, O king, come down whenever your soul desires, and we will be responsible for delivering him into your hand.”

²¹掃羅說：「願耶和華賜福與你們，因你們顧恤我。“May you be blessed by the LORD,” replied Saul, “for you have had compassion on me.

²²請你們回去，再確實查明他的住處和行蹤，是誰看見他在那裡，因為我聽見人說他甚狡猾。Please go and prepare further. Investigate and watch carefully where he goes and who has seen him there, for I am told that he is extremely cunning.

²³所以要看準他藏匿的地方，回來據實地告訴我，我就與你們同去。他若在猶大的境內，我必從千門萬戶中搜出他來。」Observe and find out all the places where he hides. Then come back to me with certainty, and I will go with you. If he is in the land, I will search him out among all the clans of Judah.”

在瑪雲曠野險被圍住

²⁴西弗人就起身，在掃羅以先往西弗去。大衛和跟隨他的人卻在瑪雲曠野南邊的亞拉巴。So they set out and went to Ziph ahead of Saul. Now David and his men were in the Wilderness of Maon in the Arabah south of Jeshimon,

²⁵掃羅和跟隨他的人去尋找大衛；有人告訴大衛，他就下到磐石，住在瑪雲的曠野。掃羅聽見，便在瑪雲的曠野追趕大衛。and Saul and his men went to seek him. When David was told about it, he went down to the rock and stayed in the Wilderness of Maon. And when Saul heard of this, he pursued David there.

²⁶掃羅在山這邊走，大衛和跟隨他的人在山那邊走。大衛急忙躲避掃羅；因為掃羅和跟隨他的人，四面圍住大衛和跟隨他的人，要拿獲他們。Saul was proceeding along one side of the mountain, and David and his men along the other side. Even though David was hurrying to get away, Saul and his men were closing in on David and his men to capture them.

²⁷忽有使者來報告掃羅說：「非利士人犯境搶掠，請王快快回去！」Then a messenger came to Saul, saying, “Come quickly, for the Philistines have raided the land!”

²⁸於是掃羅不追趕大衛，回去攻打非利士人。因此那地方名叫西拉‧哈瑪希羅結。So Saul broke off his pursuit of David and went to meet the Philistines. That is why that place is called Sela-hammahlekoth.

每日在殿裡教訓人

³⁷耶穌每日在殿裡教訓人，每夜出城在一座山，名叫橄欖山住宿。Every day Jesus taught at the temple, but every evening He went out to spend the night on the Mount of Olives.

³⁸眾百姓清早上聖殿，到耶穌那裡，要聽他講道。And early in the morning all the people would come to hear Him at the temple.

祭司長想殺耶穌

¹除酵節（又名逾越節）近了。Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching,

²祭司長和文士想法子怎麼才能殺害耶穌，是因他們懼怕百姓。and the chief priests and scribes were looking for a way to put Jesus to death, for they feared the people.

猶大答應出賣耶穌

³這時，撒但入了那稱為加略人猶大的心；他本是十二門徒裡的一個。Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, who was one of the Twelve.

⁴他去和祭司長並守殿官商量，怎麼可以把耶穌交給他們。And Judas went to discuss with the chief priests and temple officers how he might betray Jesus to them.

⁵他們歡喜，就約定給他銀子。They were delighted and agreed to give him money.

⁶他應允了，就找機會，要趁眾人不在跟前的時候把耶穌交給他們。Judas consented, and began to look for an opportunity to betray Jesus to them in the absence of a crowd.

預備逾越節的筵席

⁷除酵節，須宰逾越羊羔的那一天到了。Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb was to be sacrificed.

⁸耶穌打發彼得、約翰，說：「你們去為我們預備逾越節的筵席，好叫我們吃。」Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”

⁹他們問他說：「要我們在哪裡預備？」“Where do You want us to prepare it?” they asked.

¹⁰耶穌說：「你們進了城，必有人拿著一瓶水迎面而來，你們就跟著他，到他所進的房子裡去，He answered, “When you enter the city, a man carrying a jug of water will meet you. Follow him to the house he enters,

¹¹對那家的主人說：『夫子說：客房在哪裡？我與門徒好在那裡吃逾越節的筵席。』and say to the owner of that house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’

¹²他必指給你們擺設整齊的一間大樓，你們就在那裡預備。」And he will show you a large upper room, already furnished. Make preparations there.”

¹³他們去了，所遇見的正如耶穌所說的；他們就預備了逾越節的筵席。So they went and found it just as Jesus had told them. And they prepared the Passover.

最後的晚餐

¹⁴時候到了，耶穌坐席，使徒也和他同坐。When the hour had come, Jesus reclined at the table with His apostles.

¹⁵耶穌對他們說：「我很願意在受害以先和你們吃這逾越節的筵席。And He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before My suffering.

¹⁶我告訴你們，我不再吃這筵席，直到成就在　神的國裡。」For I tell you that I will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”

¹⁷耶穌接過杯來，祝謝了，說：「你們拿這個，大家分著喝。After taking the cup, He gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.

¹⁸我告訴你們，從今以後，我不再喝這葡萄汁，直等　神的國來到。」For I tell you that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes.”

餅和杯

¹⁹又拿起餅來，祝謝了，就擘開，遞給他們，說：「這是我的身體，為你們捨的，你們也應當如此行，為的是記念我。」And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

²⁰飯後也照樣拿起杯來，說：「這杯是用我血所立的新約，是為你們流出來的。In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.

賣主的人在同桌

²¹看哪，那賣我之人的手與我一同在桌子上。Look! The hand of My betrayer is with Mine on the table.

²²人子固然要照所預定的去世，但賣人子的人有禍了！」Indeed, the Son of Man will go as it has been determined, but woe to that man who betrays Him.”

²³他們就彼此對問，是哪一個要做這事。Then they began to question among themselves which of them was going to do this.
