米利暗死在加低斯

¹正月間，以色列全會眾到了尋的曠野，就住在加低斯。米利暗死在那裡，就葬在那裡。In the first month, the whole congregation of Israel entered the Wilderness of Zin and stayed in Kadesh. There Miriam died and was buried.

百姓沒有水喝

²會眾沒有水喝，就聚集攻擊摩西、亞倫。Now there was no water for the congregation, so they gathered against Moses and Aaron.

³百姓向摩西爭鬧說：「我們的弟兄曾死在耶和華面前，我們恨不得與他們同死。The people quarreled with Moses and said, “If only we had perished with our brothers before the LORD!

⁴你們為何把耶和華的會眾領到這曠野、使我們和牲畜都死在這裡呢？Why have you brought the LORD’s assembly into this wilderness for us and our livestock to die here?

⁵你們為何逼著我們出埃及、領我們到這壞地方呢？這地方不好撒種，也沒有無花果樹、葡萄樹、石榴樹，又沒有水喝。」Why have you led us up out of Egypt to bring us to this wretched place? It is not a place of grain, figs, vines, or pomegranates—and there is no water to drink!”

⁶摩西、亞倫離開會眾，到會幕門口，俯伏在地；耶和華的榮光向他們顯現。Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. They fell facedown, and the glory of the LORD appeared to them.

摩西擊打磐石

⁷耶和華曉諭摩西說：And the LORD said to Moses,

⁸「你拿著杖去，和你的哥哥亞倫招聚會眾，在他們眼前吩咐磐石發出水來，水就從磐石流出，給會眾和他們的牲畜喝。」“Take the staff and assemble the congregation. You and your brother Aaron are to speak to the rock while they watch, and it will pour out its water. You will bring out water from the rock and provide drink for the congregation and their livestock.”

⁹於是摩西照耶和華所吩咐的，從耶和華面前取了杖去。So Moses took the staff from the LORD’s presence, just as he had been commanded.

¹⁰摩西、亞倫就招聚會眾到磐石前。摩西說：「你們這些背叛的人聽我說：我為你們使水從這磐石中流出來嗎？」Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly in front of the rock, and Moses said to them, “Listen now, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?”

¹¹摩西舉手，用杖擊打磐石兩下，就有許多水流出來，會眾和他們的牲畜都喝了。Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with his staff, so that a great amount of water gushed out, and the congregation and their livestock were able to drink.

摩西、亞倫不得進迦南

¹²耶和華對摩西、亞倫說：「因為你們不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我為聖，所以你們必不得領這會眾進我所賜給他們的地去。」But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust Me to show My holiness in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”

¹³這水名叫米利巴水（米利巴就是爭鬧的意思），是因以色列人向耶和華爭鬧，耶和華就在他們面前顯為聖。These were the waters of Meribah, where the Israelites quarreled with the LORD, and He showed His holiness among them.

以東不准借道

¹⁴摩西從加低斯差遣使者去見以東王，說：「你的弟兄以色列人這樣說：『我們所遭遇的一切艱難，From Kadesh, Moses sent messengers to tell the king of Edom, “This is what your brother Israel says: You know all the hardship that has befallen us,

¹⁵就是我們的列祖下到埃及，我們在埃及久住；埃及人惡待我們的列祖和我們，how our fathers went down to Egypt, where we lived many years. The Egyptians mistreated us and our fathers,

¹⁶我們哀求耶和華的時候，他聽了我們的聲音，差遣使者把我們從埃及領出來。這事你都知道。如今，我們在你邊界上的城加低斯。and when we cried out to the LORD, He heard our voice, sent an angel, and brought us out of Egypt. Now look, we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.

¹⁷求你容我們從你的地經過。我們不走田間和葡萄園，也不喝井裡的水，只走大道（原文是王道），不偏左右，直到過了你的境界。』」Please let us pass through your land. We will not go through any field or vineyard, or drink water from any well. We will stay on the King’s Highway; we will not turn to the right or to the left until we have passed through your territory.”

¹⁸以東王說：「你不可從我的地經過，免得我帶刀出去攻擊你。」But Edom answered, “You may not travel through our land, or we will come out and confront you with the sword.”

¹⁹以色列人說：「我們要走大道上去；我們和牲畜若喝你的水，必給你價值。不求別的，只求你容我們步行過去。」“We will stay on the main road,” the Israelites replied, “and if we or our herds drink your water, we will pay for it. There will be no problem; only let us pass through on foot.”

²⁰以東王說：「你們不可經過！」就率領許多人出來，要用強硬的手攻擊以色列人。But Edom insisted, “You may not pass through.” And they came out to confront the Israelites with a large army and a strong hand.

²¹這樣，以東王不肯容以色列人從他的境界過去。於是他們轉去，離開他。So Edom refused to allow Israel to pass through their territory, and Israel turned away from them.

亞倫死在何珥山

²²以色列全會眾從加低斯起行，到了何珥山。After they had set out from Kadesh, the whole congregation of Israel came to Mount Hor.

²³耶和華在附近以東邊界的何珥山上曉諭摩西、亞倫說：And at Mount Hor, near the border of the land of Edom, the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

²⁴「亞倫要歸到他列祖（原文是本民）那裡。他必不得入我所賜給以色列人的地；因為在米利巴水，你們違背了我的命。“Aaron will be gathered to his people; he will not enter the land that I have given the Israelites, because both of you rebelled against My command at the waters of Meribah.

²⁵你帶亞倫和他的兒子以利亞撒上何珥山，Take Aaron and his son Eleazar and bring them up Mount Hor.

²⁶把亞倫的聖衣脫下來，給他的兒子以利亞撒穿上；亞倫必死在那裡，歸他列祖。」Remove Aaron’s priestly garments and put them on his son Eleazar. Aaron will be gathered to his people and will die there.”

²⁷摩西就照耶和華所吩咐的行。三人當著會眾的眼前上了何珥山。So Moses did as the LORD had commanded, and they climbed Mount Hor in the sight of the whole congregation.

²⁸摩西把亞倫的聖衣脫下來，給他的兒子以利亞撒穿上，亞倫就死在山頂那裡。於是摩西和以利亞撒下了山。After Moses had removed Aaron’s garments and put them on his son Eleazar, Aaron died there on top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

²⁹全會眾，就是以色列全家，見亞倫已經死了，便都為亞倫哀哭了三十天。When the whole congregation saw that Aaron had died, the entire house of Israel mourned for him thirty days.

毀滅亞拉得的城邑

¹住南地的迦南人亞拉得王，聽說以色列人從亞他林路來，就和以色列人爭戰，擄了他們幾個人。When the Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev, heard that Israel was coming along the road to Atharim, he attacked Israel and captured some prisoners.

²以色列人向耶和華發願說：「你若將這民交付我手，我就把他們的城邑盡行毀滅。」So Israel made a vow to the LORD: “If You will deliver this people into our hands, we will devote their cities to destruction.”

³耶和華應允了以色列人，把迦南人交付他們，他們就把迦南人和迦南人的城邑盡行毀滅。那地方的名便叫何珥瑪（就是毀滅的意思）。And the LORD heard Israel’s plea and delivered up the Canaanites. Israel devoted them and their cities to destruction; so they named the place Hormah.

火蛇與銅蛇

⁴他們從何珥山起行，往紅海那條路走，要繞過以東地。百姓因這路難行，心中甚是煩躁，Then they set out from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, in order to bypass the land of Edom. But the people grew impatient on the journey

⁵就怨讟　神和摩西說：「你們為甚麼把我們從埃及領出來、使我們死在曠野呢？這裡沒有糧，沒有水，我們的心厭惡這淡薄的食物。」and spoke against God and against Moses: “Why have you led us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!”

⁶於是耶和華使火蛇進入百姓中間，蛇就咬他們。以色列人中死了許多。So the LORD sent venomous snakes among the people, and many of the Israelites were bitten and died.

⁷百姓到摩西那裡，說：「我們怨讟耶和華和你，有罪了。求你禱告耶和華，叫這些蛇離開我們。」於是摩西為百姓禱告。Then the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned by speaking against the LORD and against you. Intercede with the LORD so He will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses interceded for the people.

⁸耶和華對摩西說：「你製造一條火蛇，掛在杆子上；凡被咬的，一望這蛇，就必得活。」Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and mount it on a pole. When anyone who is bitten looks at it, he will live.”

⁹摩西便製造一條銅蛇，掛在杆子上；凡被蛇咬的，一望這銅蛇就活了。So Moses made a bronze snake and mounted it on a pole. If anyone who was bitten looked at the bronze snake, he would live.

往摩押的路程

¹⁰以色列人起行，安營在阿伯。Then the Israelites set out and camped at Oboth.

¹¹又從阿伯起行，安營在以耶‧亞巴琳，與摩押相對的曠野，向日出之地。They journeyed from Oboth and camped at Iye-abarim in the wilderness opposite Moab to the east.

¹²從那裡起行，安營在撒烈谷。From there they set out and camped in the Valley of Zered.

¹³從那裡起行，安營在亞嫩河那邊。這亞嫩河是在曠野，從亞摩利的境界流出來的；原來亞嫩河是摩押的邊界，在摩押和亞摩利人搭界的地方。From there they moved on and camped on the other side of the Arnon, in the wilderness that extends into the Amorite territory. Now the Arnon is the border between the Moabites and the Amorites.

¹⁴所以耶和華的戰記上說：「蘇法的哇哈伯與亞嫩河的谷，Therefore it is stated in the Book of the Wars of the LORD: “Waheb in Suphah and the wadis of the Arnon,

¹⁵並向亞珥城眾谷的下坡，是靠近摩押的境界。」even the slopes of the wadis that extend to the site of Ar and lie along the border of Moab.”

井啊，湧上水來

¹⁶以色列人從那裡起行，到了比珥（就是井的意思）。從前耶和華吩咐摩西說：「招聚百姓，我好給他們水喝」，說的就是這井。From there they went on to Beer, the well where the LORD said to Moses, “Gather the people so that I may give them water.”

¹⁷當時，以色列人唱歌說：井啊，湧上水來！你們要向這井歌唱。Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well, all of you sing to it!

¹⁸這井是首領和民中的尊貴人用圭用杖所挖所掘的。以色列人從曠野往瑪他拿去，The princes dug the well; the nobles of the people hollowed it out with their scepters and with their staffs.” From the wilderness the Israelites went on to Mattanah,

¹⁹從瑪他拿到拿哈列，從拿哈列到巴末，and from Mattanah to Nahaliel, and from Nahaliel to Bamoth,

²⁰從巴末到摩押地的谷，又到那下望曠野之毘斯迦的山頂。and from Bamoth to the valley in Moab where the top of Pisgah overlooks the wasteland.

第三次預言受死復活

³²他們行路上耶路撒冷去。耶穌在前頭走，門徒就希奇，跟從的人也害怕。耶穌又叫過十二個門徒來，把自己將要遭遇的事告訴他們說：As they were going up the road to Jerusalem, Jesus was walking ahead of them. The disciples were amazed, but those who followed were afraid. Again Jesus took the Twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to Him:

³³「看哪，我們上耶路撒冷去，人子將要被交給祭司長和文士，他們要定他死罪，交給外邦人。“Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles,

³⁴他們要戲弄他，吐唾沫在他臉上，鞭打他，殺害他。過了三天，他要復活。」who will mock Him and spit on Him and flog Him and kill Him. And after three days He will rise again.”

雅各、約翰求坐左右

³⁵西庇太的兒子雅各、約翰進前來，對耶穌說：「夫子，我們無論求你甚麼，願你給我們做。」Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Jesus and declared, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask.”

³⁶耶穌說：「要我給你們做甚麼？」“What do you want Me to do for you?” He inquired.

³⁷他們說：「賜我們在你的榮耀裡，一個坐在你右邊，一個坐在你左邊。」They answered, “Grant that one of us may sit at Your right hand and the other at Your left in Your glory.”

喝我所喝的杯

³⁸耶穌說：「你們不知道所求的是甚麼，我所喝的杯，你們能喝嗎？我所受的洗，你們能受嗎？」“You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied. “Can you drink the cup I will drink, or be baptized with the baptism I will undergo?”

³⁹他們說：「我們能。」耶穌說：「我所喝的杯，你們也要喝；我所受的洗，你們也要受；“We can,” the brothers answered. “You will drink the cup that I drink,” Jesus said, “and you will be baptized with the baptism that I undergo.

⁴⁰只是坐在我的左右，不是我可以賜的，乃是為誰預備的，就賜給誰。」But to sit at My right or left is not Mine to grant. These seats belong to those for whom they have been prepared.”

誰願為首，就必作僕人

⁴¹那十個門徒聽見，就惱怒雅各、約翰。When the ten heard about this, they became indignant with James and John.

⁴²耶穌叫他們來，對他們說：「你們知道，外邦人有尊為君王的，治理他們，有大臣操權管束他們。So Jesus called them together and said, “You know that those regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their superiors exercise authority over them.

⁴³只是在你們中間，不是這樣。你們中間，誰願為大，就必作你們的用人；But it shall not be this way among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

⁴⁴在你們中間，誰願為首，就必作眾人的僕人。and whoever wants to be first must be the slave of all.

⁴⁵因為人子來，並不是要受人的服事，乃是要服事人，並且要捨命作多人的贖價。」For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

瞎子巴底買

⁴⁶到了耶利哥；耶穌同門徒並許多人出耶利哥的時候，有一個討飯的瞎子，是底買的兒子巴底買，坐在路旁。Next, they came to Jericho. And as Jesus and His disciples were leaving Jericho with a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting beside the road.

⁴⁷他聽見是拿撒勒的耶穌，就喊著說：「大衛的子孫耶穌啊！可憐我吧！」When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁸有許多人責備他，不許他作聲。他卻越發大聲喊著說：「大衛的子孫哪，可憐我吧！」Many people admonished him to be silent, but he cried out all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁴⁹耶穌就站住，說：「叫過他來。」他們就叫那瞎子，對他說：「放心，起來！他叫你啦。」Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man. “Take courage!” they said. “Get up! He is calling for you.”

⁵⁰瞎子就丟下衣服，跳起來，走到耶穌那裡。Throwing off his cloak, Bartimaeus jumped up and came to Jesus.

⁵¹耶穌說：「要我為你做甚麼？」瞎子說：「拉波尼（就是夫子），我要能看見。」“What do you want Me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “Rabboni,” said the blind man, “let me see again.”

⁵²耶穌說：「你去吧！你的信救了你了。」瞎子立刻看見了，就在路上跟隨耶穌。“Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
