對以色列眾山說預言

¹「人子啊，你要對以色列山發預言說：以色列山哪，要聽耶和華的話。“And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say: O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.

²主耶和華如此說：因仇敵說：『阿哈！這永久的山岡都歸我們為業了！』This is what the Lord GOD says: Because the enemy has said of you, ‘Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession,’

³所以要發預言說，主耶和華如此說：因為敵人使你荒涼，四圍吞吃，好叫你歸與其餘的外邦人為業，並且多嘴多舌的人提起你來，百姓也說你有臭名。therefore prophesy and declare that this is what the Lord GOD says: Because they have made you desolate and have trampled you on every side, so that you became a possession of the rest of the nations and were taken up in slander by the lips of their talkers,

⁴故此，以色列山要聽主耶和華的話。大山小岡、水溝山谷、荒廢之地、被棄之城，為四圍其餘的外邦人所佔據、所譏刺的，therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD. This is what the Lord GOD says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the desolate ruins and abandoned cities, which have become a spoil and a mockery to the rest of the nations around you.

⁵主耶和華對你們如此說：我真發憤恨如火，責備那其餘的外邦人和以東的眾人。他們快樂滿懷，心存恨惡，將我的地歸自己為業，又看為被棄的掠物。Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Surely in My burning zeal I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, who took My land as their own possession with wholehearted joy and utter contempt, so that its pastureland became plunder.

⁶所以，你要指著以色列地說預言，對大山小岡、水溝山谷說，主耶和華如此說：我發憤恨和忿怒說，因你們曾受外邦人的羞辱，Therefore, prophesy concerning the land of Israel and tell the mountains and hills, the ravines and valleys, that this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I have spoken in My burning zeal because you have endured the reproach of the nations.

⁷所以我起誓說：你們四圍的外邦人總要擔當自己的羞辱。這是主耶和華說的。Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: I have sworn with an uplifted hand that surely the nations around you will endure reproach of their own.

以色列山必再發枝結果

⁸「以色列山哪，你必發枝條，為我的民以色列結果子，因為他們快要來到。But you, O mountains of Israel, will produce branches and bear fruit for My people Israel, for they will soon come home.

⁹看哪，我是幫助你的，也必向你轉意，使你得以耕種。For behold, I am on your side; I will turn toward you, and you will be tilled and sown.

¹⁰我必使以色列全家的人數在你上面增多，城邑有人居住，荒場再被建造。I will multiply the people upon you—the house of Israel in its entirety. The cities will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.

¹¹我必使人和牲畜在你上面加增；他們必生養眾多。我要使你照舊有人居住，並要賜福與你比先前更多，你就知道我是耶和華。I will fill you with people and animals, and they will multiply and be fruitful. I will make you as inhabited as you once were, and I will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

¹²我必使人，就是我的民以色列，行在你上面。他們必得你為業；你也不再使他們喪子。Yes, I will cause My people Israel to walk upon you; they will possess you, and you will be their inheritance, and you will no longer deprive them of their children.

¹³主耶和華如此說：因為人對你說：『你是吞吃人的，又使國民喪子』，For this is what the Lord GOD says: Because people say to you, ‘You devour men and deprive your nation of its children,’

¹⁴所以主耶和華說：你必不再吞吃人，也不再使國民喪子。therefore you will no longer devour men or deprive your nation of its children, declares the Lord GOD.

¹⁵我使你不再聽見各國的羞辱，不再受萬民的辱罵，也不再使國民絆跌。這是主耶和華說的。」I will no longer allow the taunts of the nations to be heard against you, and you will no longer endure the reproach of the peoples or cause your nation to stumble, declares the Lord GOD.”

為我的聖名

¹⁶耶和華的話又臨到我說：Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

¹⁷「人子啊，以色列家住在本地的時候，在行動作為上玷污那地。他們的行為在我面前，好像正在經期的婦人那樣污穢。“Son of man, when the people of Israel lived in their land, they defiled it by their own ways and deeds. Their behavior before Me was like the uncleanness of a woman’s impurity.

¹⁸所以我因他們在那地上流人的血，又因他們以偶像玷污那地，就把我的忿怒傾在他們身上。So I poured out My wrath upon them because of the blood they had shed on the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols.

¹⁹我將他們分散在列國，四散在列邦，按他們的行動作為懲罰他們。I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered throughout the lands. I judged them according to their ways and deeds.

²⁰他們到了所去的列國，就使我的聖名被褻瀆；因為人談論他們說，這是耶和華的民，是從耶和華的地出來的。And wherever they went among the nations, they profaned My holy name, because it was said of them, ‘These are the people of the LORD, yet they had to leave His land.’

²¹我卻顧惜我的聖名，就是以色列家在所到的列國中所褻瀆的。But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations to which they had gone.

²²「所以，你要對以色列家說，主耶和華如此說：以色列家啊，我行這事不是為你們，乃是為我的聖名，就是在你們到的列國中所褻瀆的。Therefore tell the house of Israel that this is what the Lord GOD says: It is not for your sake that I will act, O house of Israel, but for My holy name, which you profaned among the nations to which you went.

²³我要使我的大名顯為聖；這名在列國中已被褻瀆，就是你們在他們中間所褻瀆的。我在他們眼前，在你們身上顯為聖的時候，他們就知道我是耶和華。這是主耶和華說的。I will show the holiness of My great name, which has been profaned among the nations—the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Lord GOD, when I show My holiness in you before their eyes.

新心和新靈

²⁴我必從各國收取你們，從列邦聚集你們，引導你們歸回本地。For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all the countries, and I will bring you back into your own land.

²⁵我必用清水灑在你們身上，你們就潔淨了。我要潔淨你們，使你們脫離一切的污穢，棄掉一切的偶像。I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.

²⁶我也要賜給你們一個新心，將新靈放在你們裡面，又從你們的肉體中除掉石心，賜給你們肉心。I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

²⁷我必將我的靈放在你們裡面，使你們順從我的律例，謹守遵行我的典章。And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and to carefully observe My ordinances.

²⁸你們必住在我所賜給你們列祖之地。你們要作我的子民，我要作你們的　神。Then you will live in the land that I gave your forefathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God.

²⁹我必救你們脫離一切的污穢，也必命五穀豐登，不使你們遭遇饑荒。I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will summon the grain and make it plentiful, and I will not bring famine upon you.

³⁰我必使樹木多結果子，田地多出土產，好叫你們不再因饑荒受外邦人的譏誚。I will also make the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field plentiful, so that you will no longer bear reproach among the nations on account of famine.

³¹那時，你們必追想你們的惡行和你們不善的作為，就因你們的罪孽和可憎的事厭惡自己。Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your iniquities and abominations.

³²主耶和華說：你們要知道，我這樣行不是為你們。以色列家啊，當為自己的行為抱愧蒙羞。It is not for your sake that I will act, declares the Lord GOD—let it be known to you. Be ashamed and disgraced for your ways, O house of Israel!

荒地如伊甸園

³³「主耶和華如此說：我潔淨你們，使你們脫離一切罪孽的日子，必使城邑有人居住，荒場再被建造。This is what the Lord GOD says: On the day I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be resettled and the ruins to be rebuilt.

³⁴過路的人雖看為荒廢之地，現今這荒廢之地仍得耕種。The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through.

³⁵他們必說：『這先前為荒廢之地，現在成如伊甸園；這荒廢淒涼、毀壞的城邑現在堅固有人居住。』Then they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden. The cities that were once ruined, desolate, and destroyed are now fortified and inhabited.’

³⁶那時，在你們四圍其餘的外邦人必知道我─耶和華修造那毀壞之處，培植那荒廢之地。我─耶和華說過，也必成就。Then the nations around you that remain will know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt what was destroyed, and I have replanted what was desolate. I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will do it.

人數多如羊群

³⁷「主耶和華如此說：我要加增以色列家的人數，多如羊群。他們必為這事向我求問，我要給他們成就。This is what the Lord GOD says: Once again I will hear the plea of the house of Israel and do for them this: I will multiply their people like a flock.

³⁸耶路撒冷在守節作祭物所獻的羊群怎樣多，照樣，荒涼的城邑必被人群充滿。他們就知道我是耶和華。」Like the numerous flocks for sacrifices at Jerusalem during her appointed feasts, so the ruined cities will be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”

為義受苦也是有福的

¹⁴你們就是為義受苦，也是有福的。不要怕人的威嚇（的威嚇：或譯所怕的），也不要驚慌；But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear what they fear; do not be shaken.”

¹⁵只要心裡尊主基督為聖。有人問你們心中盼望的緣由，就要常作準備，以溫柔、敬畏的心回答各人；But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect,

¹⁶存著無虧的良心，叫你們在何事上被毀謗，就在何事上可以叫那誣賴你們在基督裡有好品行的人自覺羞愧。keeping a clear conscience, so that those who slander you may be put to shame by your good behavior in Christ.

¹⁷神的旨意若是叫你們因行善受苦，總強如因行惡受苦。For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

基督為罪受苦

¹⁸因基督也曾一次為罪受苦（有古卷：受死），就是義的代替不義的，為要引我們到　神面前。按著肉體說，他被治死；按著靈性說，他復活了。For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit,

¹⁹他藉這靈曾去傳道給那些在監獄裡的靈聽，in whom He also went and preached to the spirits in prison

挪亞的方舟和洗禮

²⁰就是那從前在挪亞預備方舟、　神容忍等待的時候，不信從的人。當時進入方舟，藉著水得救的不多，只有八個人。who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In the ark a few people, only eight souls, were saved through water.

²¹這水所表明的洗禮，現在藉著耶穌基督復活也拯救你們；這洗禮本不在乎除掉肉體的污穢，只求在　神面前有無虧的良心。And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

²²耶穌已經進入天堂，在　神的右邊；眾天使和有權柄的，並有能力的，都服從了他。who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers subject to Him.

不再隨從情慾

¹基督既在肉身受苦，你們也當將這樣的心志作為兵器，因為在肉身受過苦的，就已經與罪斷絕了。Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body, arm yourselves with the same resolve, because anyone who has suffered in his body is done with sin.

²你們存這樣的心，從今以後就可以不從人的情慾，只從　神的旨意在世度餘下的光陰。Consequently, he does not live out his remaining time on earth for human passions, but for the will of God.

³因為往日隨從外邦人的心意行邪淫、惡慾、醉酒、荒宴、群飲，並可惡拜偶像的事，時候已經夠了。For you have spent enough time in the past carrying out the same desires as the Gentiles: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and detestable idolatry.

⁴他們在這些事上，見你們不與他們同奔那放蕩無度的路，就以為怪，毀謗你們。Because of this, they consider it strange of you not to plunge with them into the same flood of reckless indiscretion, and they heap abuse on you.

⁵他們必在那將要審判活人死人的主面前交帳。But they will have to give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

⁶為此，就是死人也曾有福音傳給他們，要叫他們的肉體按著人受審判，他們的靈性卻靠　神活著。That is why the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged as men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

萬物的結局近了

⁷萬物的結局近了。所以，你們要謹慎自守，警醒禱告。The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray.

⁸最要緊的是彼此切實相愛，因為愛能遮掩許多的罪。Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

⁹你們要互相款待，不發怨言。Show hospitality to one another without complaining.

¹⁰各人要照所得的恩賜彼此服事，作　神百般恩賜的好管家。As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.

¹¹若有講道的，要按著　神的聖言講；若有服事人的，要按著　神所賜的力量服事，叫　神在凡事上因耶穌基督得榮耀。原來榮耀、權能都是他的，直到永永遠遠。阿們！If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

火煉的試驗

¹²親愛的弟兄啊，有火煉的試驗臨到你們，不要以為奇怪（似乎是遭遇非常的事），Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you.

¹³倒要歡喜；因為你們是與基督一同受苦，使你們在他榮耀顯現的時候，也可以歡喜快樂。But rejoice that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed at the revelation of His glory.

¹⁴你們若為基督的名受辱罵，便是有福的；因為　神榮耀的靈常住在你們身上。If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

¹⁵你們中間卻不可有人因為殺人、偷竊、作惡、好管閒事而受苦。Indeed, none of you should suffer as a murderer or thief or wrongdoer, or even as a meddler.

¹⁶若為作基督徒受苦，卻不要羞恥，倒要因這名歸榮耀給　神。But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear that name.

審判從神的家起首

¹⁷因為時候到了，審判要從　神的家起首。若是先從我們起首，那不信從　神福音的人將有何等的結局呢？For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?

¹⁸若是義人僅僅得救，那不虔敬和犯罪的人將有何地可站呢？And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”

¹⁹所以，那照　神旨意受苦的人要一心為善，將自己靈魂交與那信實的造化之主。So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should entrust their souls to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.
