南方樹林的火

⁴⁵耶和華的話臨到我說：Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

⁴⁶「人子啊，你要面向南方，向南滴下預言攻擊南方田野的樹林。“Son of man, set your face toward the south, preach against it, and prophesy against the forest of the Negev.

⁴⁷對南方的樹林說，要聽耶和華的話。主耶和華如此說：我必使火在你中間著起，燒滅你中間的一切青樹和枯樹，猛烈的火焰必不熄滅。從南到北，人的臉面都被燒焦。Say to the forest of the Negev: Hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Lord GOD says: I am about to ignite in you a fire, and it will devour all your trees, both green and dry. The blazing flame will not be quenched, and by it every face from south to north will be scorched.

⁴⁸凡有血氣的都必知道是我─耶和華使火著起，這火必不熄滅。」Then all people will see that I, the LORD, have kindled it; it will not be quenched.”

⁴⁹於是我說：「哎！主耶和華啊，人都指著我說：他豈不是說比喻的嗎？」Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD, they are saying of me, ‘Is he not just telling parables?’”

耶和華的刀出鞘

¹耶和華的話臨到我說：And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

²「人子啊，你要面向耶路撒冷和聖所滴下預言，攻擊以色列地。“Son of man, set your face against Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuaries. Prophesy against the land of Israel

³對以色列地說，耶和華如此說：我與你為敵，並要拔刀出鞘，從你中間將義人和惡人一併剪除。and tell her that this is what the LORD says: ‘I am against you, and I will draw My sword from its sheath and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.

⁴我既要從你中間剪除義人和惡人，所以我的刀要出鞘，自南至北攻擊一切有血氣的；Because I will cut off both the righteous and the wicked, My sword will be unsheathed against everyone from south to north.

⁵一切有血氣的就知道我─耶和華已經拔刀出鞘，必不再入鞘。Then all flesh will know that I, the LORD, have taken My sword from its sheath, not to return it again.’

⁶人子啊，你要歎息，在他們眼前彎著腰，苦苦地歎息。But you, son of man, groan! Groan before their eyes with a broken heart and bitter grief.

⁷他們問你說：『為何歎息呢？』你就說：『因為有風聲、災禍要來。人心都必消化，手都發軟，精神衰敗，膝弱如水。看哪，這災禍臨近，必然成就。這是主耶和華說的。』」And when they ask, ‘Why are you groaning?’ you are to say, ‘Because of the news that is coming. Every heart will melt, and every hand will go limp. Every spirit will faint, and every knee will turn to water.’ Yes, it is coming and it will surely happen, declares the Lord GOD.”

磨快擦亮的刀

⁸耶和華的話臨到我說：Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

⁹「人子啊，你要預言。耶和華吩咐我如此說：有刀、有刀，是磨快擦亮的；“Son of man, prophesy and tell them that this is what the Lord says: ‘A sword, a sword, sharpened and polished—

¹⁰磨快為要行殺戮，擦亮為要像閃電。我們豈可快樂嗎？罰我子的杖藐視各樹。it is sharpened for the slaughter, polished to flash like lightning! Should we rejoice in the scepter of My son? The sword despises every such stick.

¹¹這刀已經交給人擦亮，為要應手使用。這刀已經磨快擦亮，好交在行殺戮的人手中。The sword is appointed to be polished, to be grasped in the hand. It is sharpened and polished, to be placed in the hand of the slayer.

¹²人子啊，你要呼喊哀號，因為這刀臨到我的百姓和以色列一切的首領。他們和我的百姓都交在刀下，所以你要拍腿歎息。Cry out and wail, O son of man, for the sword is wielded against My people; it is against all the princes of Israel! They are tossed to the sword with My people; therefore strike your thigh.

¹³有試驗的事；若那藐視的杖歸於無有，怎麼樣呢？這是主耶和華說的。Surely testing will come! And what if even the scepter, which the sword despises, does not continue?’ declares the Lord GOD.

¹⁴「人子啊，你要拍掌預言。我─耶和華要使這刀，就是致死傷的刀，一連三次加倍刺人，進入他們的內屋，使大人受死傷的就是這刀。‘So then, son of man, prophesy and strike your hands together. Let the sword strike two times, even three. It is a sword that slays, a sword of great slaughter closing in on every side!

¹⁵我設立這恐嚇人的刀，攻擊他們的一切城門，使他們的心消化，加增他們跌倒的事。哎！這刀造得像閃電，磨得尖利，要行殺戮。So that their hearts may melt and many may stumble, I have appointed at all their gates a sword for slaughter. Yes, it is ready to flash like lightning; it is drawn for slaughter.

¹⁶刀啊，你歸在右邊，擺在左邊；你面向哪方，就向那方殺戮。Slash to the right; set your blade to the left—wherever your blade is directed.

¹⁷我也要拍掌，並要使我的忿怒止息。這是我─耶和華說的。」I too will strike My hands together, and I will satisfy My wrath.’ I, the LORD, have spoken.”

巴比倫王在岔路口占卜

¹⁸耶和華的話又臨到我說：Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

¹⁹「人子啊，你要定出兩條路，好使巴比倫王的刀來。這兩條路必從一地分出來，又要在通城的路口上畫出一隻手來。“Now you, son of man, mark out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take, both starting from the same land. And make a signpost where the road branches off to each city.

²⁰你要定出一條路，使刀來到亞捫人的拉巴；又要定出一條路，使刀來到猶大的堅固城耶路撒冷。Mark out one road for the sword to come against Rabbah of the Ammonites, and another against Judah into fortified Jerusalem.

²¹因為巴比倫王站在岔路那裡，在兩條路口上要占卜。他搖籤（原文是箭）求問神像，察看犧牲的肝；For the king of Babylon stands at the fork in the road, at the junction of the two roads, to seek an omen: He shakes the arrows, he consults the idols, he examines the liver.

²²在右手中拿著為耶路撒冷占卜的籤，使他安設撞城錘，張口叫殺，揚聲吶喊，築壘造臺，以撞城錘，攻打城門。In his right hand appears the portent for Jerusalem, where he is to set up battering rams, to call for the slaughter, to lift a battle cry, to direct the battering rams against the gates, to build a ramp, and to erect a siege wall.

²³據那些曾起誓的猶大人看來，這是虛假的占卜；但巴比倫王要使他們想起罪孽，以致將他們捉住。」It will seem like a false omen to the eyes of those who have sworn allegiance to him, but it will draw attention to their guilt and take them captive.

除掉冠，摘下冕

²⁴主耶和華如此說：「因你們的過犯顯露，使你們的罪孽被記念，以致你們的罪惡在行為上都彰顯出來；又因你們被記念，就被捉住。Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you have drawn attention to your guilt, exposing your transgressions, so that your sins are revealed in all your deeds—because you have come to remembrance—you shall be taken in hand.

²⁵你這受死傷行惡的以色列王啊，罪孽的盡頭到了，受報的日子已到。And you, O profane and wicked prince of Israel, the day has come for your final punishment.’

²⁶主耶和華如此說：當除掉冠，摘下冕，景況必不再像先前；要使卑者升為高，使高者降為卑。This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Remove the turban, and take off the crown. Things will not remain as they are: Exalt the lowly and bring low the exalted.

²⁷我要將這國傾覆，傾覆，而又傾覆；這國也必不再有，直等到那應得的人來到，我就賜給他。」A ruin, a ruin, I will make it a ruin! And it will not be restored until the arrival of Him to whom it belongs, to whom I have assigned the right of judgment.’

刀臨到亞捫人

²⁸「人子啊，要發預言說：主耶和華論到亞捫人和他們的凌辱，吩咐我如此說：有刀，有拔出來的刀，已經擦亮，為行殺戮，使他像閃電以行吞滅。Now prophesy, son of man, and declare that this is what the Lord GOD says concerning the Ammonites and their contempt: ‘A sword! A sword is drawn for slaughter, polished to consume, to flash like lightning—

²⁹人為你見虛假的異象，行謊詐的占卜，使你倒在受死傷之惡人的頸項上。他們罪孽到了盡頭，受報的日子已到。while they offer false visions for you and lying divinations about you—to be placed on the necks of the wicked who are slain, whose day has come, the time of their final punishment.

³⁰你將刀收入鞘吧！在你受造之處、生長之地，我必刑罰你。Return the sword to its sheath! In the place where you were created, in the land of your origin, I will judge you.

³¹我必將我的惱恨倒在你身上，將我烈怒的火噴在你身上；又將你交在善於殺滅的畜類人手中。I will pour out My anger upon you; I will breathe the fire of My fury against you; I will hand you over to brutal men, skilled in destruction.

³²你必當柴被火焚燒，你的血必流在國中，你必不再被記念，因為這是我─耶和華說的。」You will be fuel for the fire. Your blood will stain your own land. You will not be remembered, for I, the LORD, have spoken.’”

流人血的城

¹耶和華的話又臨到我說：Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

²「人子啊，你要審問審問這流人血的城嗎？當使她知道她一切可憎的事。“As for you, son of man, will you judge her? Will you pass judgment on the city of bloodshed? Then confront her with all her abominations

³你要說，主耶和華如此說：哎！這城有流人血的事在其中，叫她受報的日期來到，又做偶像玷污自己，陷害自己。and tell her that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘O city who brings her own doom by shedding blood within her walls and making idols to defile herself,

⁴你因流了人的血，就為有罪；你做了偶像，就玷污自己，使你受報之日臨近，報應之年來到。所以我叫你受列國的凌辱和列邦的譏誚。you are guilty of the blood you have shed, and you are defiled by the idols you have made. You have brought your days to a close and have come to the end of your years. Therefore I have made you a reproach to the nations and a mockery to all the lands.

⁵你這名臭、多亂的城啊，那些離你近、離你遠的都必譏誚你。Those near and far will mock you, O infamous city, full of turmoil.

⁶「看哪，以色列的首領各逞其能，在你中間流人之血。See how every prince of Israel within you has used his power to shed blood.

⁷在你中間有輕慢父母的，有欺壓寄居的，有虧負孤兒寡婦的。Father and mother are treated with contempt. Within your walls the foreign resident is exploited, the fatherless and the widow are oppressed.

⁸你藐視了我的聖物，干犯了我的安息日。You have despised My holy things and profaned My Sabbaths.

⁹在你中間有讒謗人、流人血的；有在山上吃過祭偶像之物的，有行淫亂的。Among you are slanderous men bent on bloodshed; within you are those who eat on the mountain shrines and commit acts of indecency.

¹⁰在你中間有露繼母下體羞辱父親的，有玷辱月經不潔淨之婦人的。In you they have uncovered the nakedness of their fathers; in you they violate women during their menstrual impurity.

¹¹這人與鄰舍的妻行可憎的事；那人貪淫玷污兒婦；還有玷辱同父之姊妹的。One man commits an abomination with his neighbor’s wife; another wickedly defiles his daughter-in-law; and yet another violates his sister, his own father’s daughter.

¹²在你中間有為流人血受賄賂的；有向借錢的弟兄取利，向借糧的弟兄多要的。且因貪得無饜，欺壓鄰舍奪取財物，竟忘了我。這是主耶和華說的。In you they take bribes to shed blood. You engage in usury, take excess interest, and extort your neighbors. But Me you have forgotten, declares the Lord GOD.

¹³「看哪，我因你所得不義之財和你中間所流的血，就拍掌歎息。Now look, I strike My hands together against your unjust gain and against the blood you have shed in your midst.

¹⁴到了我懲罰你的日子，你的心還能忍受嗎？你的手還能有力嗎？我─耶和華說了這話，就必照著行。Will your courage endure or your hands be strong in the day I deal with you? I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will act.

¹⁵我必將你分散在列國，四散在列邦。我也必從你中間除掉你的污穢。I will disperse you among the nations and scatter you throughout the lands; I will purge your uncleanness.

¹⁶你必在列國人的眼前因自己所行的被褻瀆，你就知道我是耶和華。」And when you have defiled yourself in the eyes of the nations, then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

爐中的渣滓

¹⁷耶和華的話臨到我說：Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

¹⁸「人子啊，以色列家在我看為渣滓。他們都是爐中的銅、錫、鐵、鉛，都是銀渣滓。“Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me. All of them are copper, tin, iron, and lead inside the furnace; they are but the dross of silver.

¹⁹所以主耶和華如此說：因你們都成為渣滓，我必聚集你們在耶路撒冷中。Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Because all of you have become dross, behold, I will gather you into Jerusalem.

²⁰人怎樣將銀、銅、鐵、鉛、錫聚在爐中，吹火鎔化；照樣，我也要發怒氣和忿怒，將你們聚集放在城中，鎔化你們。Just as one gathers silver, copper, iron, lead, and tin into the furnace to melt with a fiery blast, so I will gather you in My anger and wrath, leave you there, and melt you.

²¹我必聚集你們，把我烈怒的火吹在你們身上，你們就在其中鎔化。Yes, I will gather you together and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you will be melted within the city.

²²銀子怎樣鎔化在爐中，你們也必照樣鎔化在城中，你們就知道我─耶和華是將忿怒倒在你們身上了。」As silver is melted in a furnace, so you will be melted within the city. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have poured out My wrath upon you.’”

先知、祭司、首領都敗壞

²³耶和華的話臨到我說：And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

²⁴「人子啊，你要對這地說：你是未得潔淨之地，在惱恨的日子也沒有雨下在你以上。“Son of man, say to her, ‘In the day of indignation, you are a land that has not been cleansed, upon which no rain has fallen.’

²⁵其中的先知同謀背叛，如咆哮的獅子抓撕掠物。他們吞滅人民，搶奪財寶，使這地多有寡婦。The conspiracy of the princes in her midst is like a roaring lion tearing its prey. They devour the people, seize the treasures and precious things, and multiply the widows within her.

²⁶其中的祭司強解我的律法，褻瀆我的聖物，不分別聖的和俗的，也不使人分辨潔淨的和不潔淨的，又遮眼不顧我的安息日；我也在他們中間被褻慢。Her priests do violence to My law and profane My holy things. They make no distinction between the holy and the common, and they fail to distinguish between the clean and the unclean. They disregard My Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them.

²⁷其中的首領彷彿豺狼抓撕掠物，殺人流血，傷害人命，要得不義之財。Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey, shedding blood, and destroying lives for dishonest gain.

²⁸其中的先知為百姓用未泡透的灰抹牆，就是為他們見虛假的異象，用謊詐的占卜，說：『主耶和華如此說』，其實耶和華沒有說。Her prophets whitewash these deeds by false visions and lying divinations, saying, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ when the LORD has not spoken.

²⁹國內眾民一味地欺壓，慣行搶奪，虧負困苦窮乏的，背理欺壓寄居的。The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and needy and have exploited the foreign resident without justice.

找不著站在破口的人

³⁰我在他們中間尋找一人重修牆垣，在我面前為這國站在破口防堵，使我不滅絕這國，卻找不著一個。I searched for a man among them to repair the wall and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, so that I should not destroy it. But I found no one.

³¹所以我將惱恨倒在他們身上，用烈怒的火滅了他們，照他們所行的報應在他們頭上。這是主耶和華說的。」So I have poured out My indignation upon them and consumed them with the fire of My fury. I have brought their ways down upon their own heads, declares the Lord GOD.”

忍耐等候主來

⁷弟兄們哪，你們要忍耐，直到主來。看哪，農夫忍耐等候地裡寶貴的出產，直到得了秋雨春雨。Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer awaits the precious fruit of the soil—how patient he is for the fall and spring rains.

⁸你們也當忍耐，堅固你們的心，因為主來的日子近了。You, too, be patient and strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near.

⁹弟兄們，你們不要彼此埋怨，免得受審判。看哪，審判的主站在門前了。Do not complain about one another, brothers, so that you will not be judged. Look, the Judge is standing at the door!

¹⁰弟兄們，你們要把那先前奉主名說話的眾先知當作能受苦能忍耐的榜樣。Brothers, as an example of patience in affliction, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.

¹¹那先前忍耐的人，我們稱他們是有福的。你們聽見過約伯的忍耐，也知道主給他的結局，明顯主是滿心憐憫，大有慈悲。See how blessed we consider those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen the outcome from the Lord. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

不可起誓

¹²我的弟兄們，最要緊的是不可起誓；不可指著天起誓，也不可指著地起誓，無論何誓都不可起。你們說話，是，就說是；不是，就說不是，免得你們落在審判之下。Above all, my brothers, do not swear, not by heaven or earth or by any other oath. Simply let your “Yes” be yes, and your “No,” no, so that you will not fall under judgment.

受苦的該禱告

¹³你們中間有受苦的呢，他就該禱告；有喜樂的呢，他就該歌頌。Is any one of you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises.

¹⁴你們中間有病了的呢，他就該請教會的長老來；他們可以奉主的名用油抹他，為他禱告。Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

¹⁵出於信心的祈禱要救那病人，主必叫他起來；他若犯了罪，也必蒙赦免。And the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick. The Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

彼此認罪，互相代求

¹⁶所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代求，使你們可以得醫治。義人祈禱所發的力量是大有功效的。Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail.

¹⁷以利亞與我們是一樣性情的人，他懇切禱告，求不要下雨，雨就三年零六個月不下在地上。Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.

¹⁸他又禱告，天就降下雨來，地也生出土產。Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth yielded its crops.

使失迷的人回轉

¹⁹我的弟兄們，你們中間若有失迷真道的，有人使他回轉，My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back,

²⁰這人該知道：叫一個罪人從迷路上轉回便是救一個靈魂不死，並且遮蓋許多的罪。consider this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
