派定祭司利未人的班次

²希西家派定祭司利未人的班次，各按各職獻燔祭和平安祭，又在耶和華殿（原文是營）門內事奉，稱謝頌讚耶和華。Hezekiah reestablished the divisions of the priests and Levites—each of them according to their duties as priests or Levites—for the burnt offerings and peace offerings, for ministry, for giving thanks, and for singing praises at the gates of the LORD’s dwelling.

³王又從自己的產業中定出分來為燔祭，就是早晚的燔祭和安息日、月朔，並節期的燔祭，都是按耶和華律法上所載的；The king contributed from his own possessions for the regular morning and evening burnt offerings and for the burnt offerings on the Sabbaths, New Moons, and appointed feasts, as written in the Law of the LORD.

百姓踴躍奉獻，積成堆壘

⁴又吩咐住耶路撒冷的百姓將祭司、利未人所應得的分給他們，使他們專心遵守耶和華的律法。Moreover, he commanded the people living in Jerusalem to make a contribution for the priests and Levites so that they could devote themselves to the Law of the LORD.

⁵諭旨一出，以色列人就把初熟的五穀、新酒、油、蜜，和田地的出產多多送來，又把各物的十分之一送來的極多。As soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously provided the firstfruits of the grain, new wine, oil, and honey, and of all the produce of the field, and they brought in an abundance—a tithe of everything.

⁶住猶大各城的以色列人和猶大人也將牛羊的十分之一，並分別為聖歸耶和華─他們　神之物，就是十分取一之物，盡都送來，積成堆壘；And the Israelites and Judahites who lived in the cities of Judah also brought a tithe of their herds and flocks and a tithe of the holy things consecrated to the LORD their God, and they laid them in large heaps.

⁷從三月積起，到七月才完。In the third month they began building up the heaps, and they finished in the seventh month.

⁸希西家和眾首領來，看見堆壘，就稱頌耶和華，又為耶和華的民以色列人祝福。When Hezekiah and his officials came and viewed the heaps, they blessed the LORD and His people Israel.

⁹希西家向祭司、利未人查問這堆壘。Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and Levites about the heaps,

¹⁰撒督家的大祭司亞撒利雅回答說：「自從民將供物送到耶和華殿以來，我們不但吃飽，且剩下的甚多；因為耶和華賜福給他的民，所剩下的才這樣豐盛。」and Azariah, the chief priest of the household of Zadok, answered him, “Since the people began to bring their contributions into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and there is plenty left over, because the LORD has blessed His people; this great abundance is what is left over.”

預備倉房，忠心分配

¹¹希西家吩咐在耶和華殿裡預備倉房，他們就預備了。Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare storerooms in the house of the LORD, and they did so.

¹²他們誠心將供物和十分取一之物，並分別為聖之物，都搬入倉內。利未人歌楠雅掌管這事，他兄弟示每為副管。And they faithfully brought in the contributions, tithes, and dedicated gifts. Conaniah the Levite was the officer in charge of them, and his brother Shimei was second.

¹³耶歇、亞撒細雅、拿哈、亞撒黑、耶利末、約撒拔、以列、伊斯瑪基雅、瑪哈、比拿雅都是督理，在歌楠雅和他兄弟示每的手下，是希西家王和管理　神殿的亞撒利雅所派的。Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were overseers under the authority of Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by appointment of King Hezekiah and of Azariah the chief official of the house of God.

¹⁴守東門的利未人音拿的兒子可利，掌管樂意獻與　神的禮物，發放獻與耶和華的供物和至聖的物。Kore son of Imnah the Levite, the keeper of the East Gate, was in charge of the freewill offerings given to God, distributing the contributions to the LORD and the consecrated gifts.

¹⁵在他手下有伊甸、珉雅珉、耶書亞、示瑪雅、亞瑪利雅、示迦尼雅，在祭司的各城裡供緊要的職任，無論弟兄大小，都按著班次分給他們。Under his authority, Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah faithfully distributed portions to their fellow priests in their cities, according to their divisions, old and young alike.

¹⁶按家譜，三歲以外的男丁，凡每日進耶和華殿、按班次供職的，也分給他；In addition, they distributed portions to the males registered by genealogy who were three years of age or older—to all who would enter the house of the LORD for their daily duties for service in the responsibilities of their divisions—

¹⁷又按宗族家譜分給祭司，按班次職任分給二十歲以外的利未人，and to the priests enrolled according to their families in the genealogy, as well as to the Levites twenty years of age or older, according to their responsibilities and divisions.

¹⁸又按家譜計算，分給他們會中的妻子、兒女；因他們身供要職，自潔成聖。The genealogy included all the little ones, wives, sons, and daughters of the whole assembly. For they had faithfully consecrated themselves as holy.

¹⁹按名派定的人要把應得的分給亞倫子孫，住在各城郊野、祭司所有的男丁和一切載入家譜的利未人。As for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who lived on the farmlands around each of their cities or in any other city, men were designated by name to distribute a portion to every male among the priests and to every Levite listed by the genealogies.

希西家盡心去行，無不亨通

²⁰希西家在猶大遍地這樣辦理，行耶和華─他　神眼中看為善為正為忠的事。So this is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah. He did what was good and upright and true before the LORD his God.

²¹凡他所行的，無論是辦　神殿的事，是遵律法守誡命，是尋求他的　神，都是盡心去行，無不亨通。He acted with all his heart in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law and the commandments, in order to seek his God. And so he prospered.

西拿基立入侵，希西家備戰

¹這虔誠的事以後，亞述王西拿基立來侵入猶大，圍困一切堅固城，想要攻破佔據。After all these acts of faithfulness, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah. He laid siege to the fortified cities, intending to conquer them for himself.

²希西家見西拿基立來，定意要攻打耶路撒冷，When Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come to make war against Jerusalem,

³就與首領和勇士商議，塞住城外的泉源；他們就都幫助他。he consulted with his leaders and mighty men about stopping up the waters of the springs outside the city, and they helped him carry it out.

⁴於是有許多人聚集，塞了一切泉源，並通流國中的小河，說：「亞述王來，為何讓他得著許多水呢？」Many people assembled and stopped up all the springs and the stream that flowed through the land. “Why should the kings of Assyria come and find plenty of water?” they said.

⁵希西家力圖自強，就修築所有拆毀的城牆，高與城樓相齊；在城外又築一城，堅固大衛城的米羅，製造了許多軍器、盾牌；Then Hezekiah worked resolutely to rebuild all the broken sections of the wall and to raise up towers on it. He also built an outer wall and reinforced the supporting terraces of the City of David, and he produced an abundance of weapons and shields.

與我們同在的更大

⁶設立軍長管理百姓，將他們招聚在城門的寬闊處，用話勉勵他們，說：Hezekiah appointed military commanders over the people and gathered the people in the square of the city gate. Then he encouraged them, saying,

⁷「你們當剛強壯膽，不要因亞述王和跟隨他的大軍恐懼、驚慌；因為與我們同在的，比與他們同在的更大。“Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged before the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater One with us than with him.

⁸與他們同在的是肉臂，與我們同在的是耶和華─我們的　神，他必幫助我們，為我們爭戰。」百姓就靠猶大王希西家的話，安然無懼了。With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” So the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

亞述王的臣僕毀謗耶和華

⁹此後，亞述王西拿基立和他的全軍攻打拉吉，就差遣臣僕到耶路撒冷見猶大王希西家和一切在耶路撒冷的猶大人，說：Later, as Sennacherib king of Assyria and all his forces besieged Lachish, he sent his servants to Jerusalem with a message for King Hezekiah of Judah and all the people of Judah who were in Jerusalem:

¹⁰「亞述王西拿基立如此說：『你們倚靠甚麼，還在耶路撒冷受困呢？“This is what Sennacherib king of Assyria says: What is the basis of your confidence, that you remain in Jerusalem under siege?

¹¹希西家對你們說「耶和華─我們的　神必救我們脫離亞述王的手」，這不是誘惑你們，使你們受飢渴而死嗎？Is not Hezekiah misleading you to give you over to death by famine and thirst when he says, ‘The LORD our God will deliver us from the hand of the king of Assyria?’

¹²這希西家豈不是廢去耶和華的邱壇和祭壇，吩咐猶大與耶路撒冷的人說「你們當在一個壇前敬拜，在其上燒香」嗎？Did not Hezekiah himself remove His high places and His altars and say to Judah and Jerusalem, ‘You must worship before one altar, and on it you shall burn sacrifices’?

¹³我與我列祖向列邦所行的，你們豈不知道嗎？列邦的神何嘗能救自己的國脫離我手呢？Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the lands? Have the gods of these nations ever been able to deliver their land from my hand?

¹⁴我列祖所滅的國，那些神中誰能救自己的民脫離我手呢？難道你們的神能救你們脫離我手嗎？Who among all the gods of these nations that my fathers devoted to destruction has been able to deliver his people from my hand? How then can your God deliver you from my hand?

¹⁵所以你們不要叫希西家這樣欺哄誘惑你們，也不要信他；因為沒有一國一邦的神能救自己的民脫離我手和我列祖的手，何況你們的神更不能救你們脫離我的手。』」So now, do not let Hezekiah deceive you, and do not let him mislead you like this. Do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to deliver his people from my hand or from the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my hand!”

¹⁶西拿基立的臣僕還有別的話毀謗耶和華　神和他僕人希西家。And the servants of Sennacherib spoke further against the LORD God and against His servant Hezekiah.

¹⁷西拿基立也寫信毀謗耶和華─以色列的　神說：「列邦的神既不能救他的民脫離我手，希西家的神也不能救他的民脫離我手了。」He also wrote letters mocking the LORD, the God of Israel, and saying against Him: “Just as the gods of the nations did not deliver their people from my hand, so the God of Hezekiah will not deliver His people from my hand.”

¹⁸亞述王的臣僕用猶大言語向耶路撒冷城上的民大聲呼叫，要驚嚇他們，擾亂他們，以便取城。Then the Assyrians called out loudly in Hebrew to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten and terrify them in order to capture the city.

¹⁹他們論耶路撒冷的　神，如同論世上人手所造的神一樣。They spoke against the God of Jerusalem as they had spoken against the gods of the peoples of the earth—the work of human hands.

禱告蒙應允，亞述軍覆滅

²⁰希西家王和亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞因此禱告，向天呼求。In response, King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz cried out to heaven in prayer,

²¹耶和華就差遣一個使者進入亞述王營中，把所有大能的勇士和官長、將帥盡都滅了。亞述王滿面含羞地回到本國，進了他神的廟中，有他親生的兒子在那裡用刀殺了他。and the LORD sent an angel who annihilated every mighty man of valor and every leader and commander in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he entered the temple of his god, some of his own sons struck him down with the sword.

²²這樣，耶和華救希西家和耶路撒冷的居民脫離亞述王西拿基立的手，也脫離一切仇敵的手，又賜他們四境平安。So the LORD saved Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from the hands of King Sennacherib of Assyria and all others, and He gave them rest on every side.

²³有許多人到耶路撒冷，將供物獻與耶和華，又將寶物送給猶大王希西家。此後，希西家在列邦人的眼中看為尊大。Many brought offerings to Jerusalem for the LORD and valuable gifts for Hezekiah king of Judah, and from then on he was exalted in the eyes of all nations.

希西家患病與心裡驕傲

²⁴那時希西家病得要死，就禱告耶和華，耶和華應允他，賜他一個兆頭。In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. So he prayed to the LORD, who spoke to him and gave him a sign.

²⁵希西家卻沒有照他所蒙的恩報答耶和華；因他心裡驕傲，所以忿怒要臨到他和猶大並耶路撒冷。But because his heart was proud, Hezekiah did not repay the favor shown to him. Therefore wrath came upon him and upon Judah and Jerusalem.

²⁶但希西家和耶路撒冷的居民覺得心裡驕傲，就一同自卑，以致耶和華的忿怒在希西家的日子沒有臨到他們。Then Hezekiah humbled the pride of his heart—he and the people of Jerusalem—so that the wrath of the LORD did not come upon them during the days of Hezekiah.

希西家的財富與水道

²⁷希西家大有尊榮資財，建造府庫，收藏金銀、寶石、香料、盾牌，和各樣的寶器，Hezekiah had very great riches and honor, and he made treasuries for his silver, gold, precious stones, spices, shields, and all kinds of valuable articles.

²⁸又建造倉房，收藏五穀、新酒，和油，又為各類牲畜蓋棚立圈；He also made storehouses for the harvest of grain and new wine and oil, stalls for all kinds of livestock, and pens for the flocks.

²⁹並且建立城邑，還有許多的羊群牛群，因為　神賜他極多的財產。He made cities for himself, and he acquired herds of sheep and cattle in abundance, for God gave him very great wealth.

³⁰這希西家也塞住基訓的上源，引水直下，流在大衛城的西邊。希西家所行的事盡都亨通。It was Hezekiah who blocked the upper outlet of the Spring of Gihon and channeled it down to the west side of the City of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all that he did.

巴比倫使者來訪

³¹惟有一件事，就是巴比倫王差遣使者來見希西家，訪問國中所現的奇事；這件事　神離開他，要試驗他，好知道他心內如何。And so when ambassadors of the rulers of Babylon were sent to him to inquire about the wonder that had happened in the land, God left him alone to test him, that He might know all that was in Hezekiah’s heart.

希西家去世

³²希西家其餘的事和他的善行都寫在亞摩斯的兒子先知以賽亞的默示書上和猶大、以色列的諸王記上。As for the rest of the acts of Hezekiah and his deeds of loving devotion, they are indeed written in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.

³³希西家與他列祖同睡，葬在大衛子孫的高陵上。他死的時候，猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民都尊敬他。他兒子瑪拿西接續他作王。And Hezekiah rested with his fathers and was buried in the upper tombs of David’s descendants. All Judah and the people of Jerusalem paid him honor at his death. And his son Manasseh reigned in his place.

福音傳到安提阿

¹⁹那些因司提反的事遭患難四散的門徒直走到腓尼基和塞浦路斯，並安提阿；他們不向別人講道，只向猶太人講。Meanwhile those scattered by the persecution that began with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the message only to Jews.

²⁰但內中有塞浦路斯和古利奈人，他們到了安提阿也向希臘人傳講主耶穌（有古卷：也向說希臘話的猶太人傳講主耶穌）。But some of them, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began speaking to the Greeks as well, proclaiming the good news about the Lord Jesus.

²¹主與他們同在，信而歸主的人就很多了。The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.

巴拿巴被差到安提阿

²²這風聲傳到耶路撒冷教會人的耳中，他們就打發巴拿巴出去，走到安提阿為止。When news of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

²³他到了那裡，看見　神所賜的恩就歡喜，勸勉眾人，立定心志，恆久靠主。When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to abide in the Lord with all their hearts.

²⁴這巴拿巴原是個好人，被聖靈充滿，大有信心。於是有許多人歸服了主。Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.

巴拿巴找來掃羅

²⁵他又往大數去找掃羅，Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,

²⁶找著了，就帶他到安提阿去。他們足有一年的工夫和教會一同聚集，教訓了許多人。門徒稱為「基督徒」是從安提阿起首。and when he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. So for a full year they met together with the church and taught large numbers of people. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.

亞迦布預言饑荒，門徒捐助猶太

²⁷當那些日子，有幾位先知從耶路撒冷下到安提阿。In those days some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.

²⁸內中有一位，名叫亞迦布，站起來，藉著聖靈指明天下將有大饑荒。（這事到克勞第年間果然有了。）One of them named Agabus stood up and predicted through the Spirit that a great famine would sweep across the whole world. (This happened under Claudius.)

²⁹於是門徒定意照各人的力量捐錢，送去供給住在猶太的弟兄。So the disciples, each according to his ability, decided to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.

³⁰他們就這樣行，把捐項託巴拿巴和掃羅送到眾長老那裡。This they did, sending their gifts to the elders with Barnabas and Saul.
