所羅門在基遍獻祭

¹大衛的兒子所羅門國位堅固；耶和華─他的　神與他同在，使他甚為尊大。Now Solomon son of David established himself securely over his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him and highly exalted him.

²所羅門吩咐以色列眾人，就是千夫長、百夫長、審判官、首領與族長都來。Then Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every leader in all Israel—the heads of the families.

³所羅門和會眾都往基遍的邱壇去，因那裡有　神的會幕，就是耶和華僕人摩西在曠野所製造的。And Solomon and the whole assembly went to the high place at Gibeon because it was the location of God’s Tent of Meeting, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

⁴只是　神的約櫃，大衛已經從基列‧耶琳搬到他所預備的地方，因他曾在耶路撒冷為約櫃支搭了帳幕，Now David had brought the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.

⁵並且戶珥的孫子、烏利的兒子比撒列所造的銅壇也在基遍耶和華的會幕前。所羅門和會眾都就近壇前。But the bronze altar made by Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, was in Gibeon before the tabernacle of the LORD. So Solomon and the assembly inquired of Him there.

⁶所羅門上到耶和華面前會幕的銅壇那裡，獻一千犧牲為燔祭。Solomon offered sacrifices there before the LORD on the bronze altar at the Tent of Meeting, where he offered a thousand burnt offerings.

所羅門求智慧

⁷當夜，　神向所羅門顯現，對他說：「你願我賜你甚麼，你可以求。」That night God appeared to Solomon and said, “Ask, and I will give it to you!”

⁸所羅門對　神說：「你曾向我父大衛大施慈愛，使我接續他作王。Solomon replied to God: “You have shown much loving devotion to my father David, and You have made me king in his place.

⁹耶和華　神啊，現在求你成就向我父大衛所應許的話；因你立我作這民的王，他們如同地上塵沙那樣多。Now, O LORD God, let Your promise to my father David be fulfilled. For You have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.

¹⁰求你賜我智慧聰明，我好在這民前出入；不然，誰能判斷這眾多的民呢？」Now grant me wisdom and knowledge, so that I may lead this people. For who is able to govern this great people of Yours?”

¹¹神對所羅門說：「我已立你作我民的王。你既有這心意，並不求資財、豐富、尊榮，也不求滅絕那恨你之人的性命，又不求大壽數，只求智慧聰明好判斷我的民；God said to Solomon, “Since this was in your heart instead of requesting riches or wealth or honor for yourself or death for your enemies—and since you have not even requested long life but have asked for wisdom and knowledge to govern My people over whom I have made you king—

¹²我必賜你智慧聰明，也必賜你資財、豐富、尊榮。在你以前的列王都沒有這樣，在你以後也必沒有這樣的。」therefore wisdom and knowledge have been granted to you. And I will also give you riches and wealth and honor unlike anything given to the kings before you or after you.”

¹³於是，所羅門從基遍邱壇會幕前回到耶路撒冷，治理以色列人。So Solomon went to Jerusalem from the high place in Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, and he reigned over Israel.

所羅門的車馬與財富

¹⁴所羅門聚集戰車馬兵，有戰車一千四百輛，馬兵一萬二千名，安置在屯車的城邑和耶路撒冷，就是王那裡。Solomon accumulated 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horses, which he stationed in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem.

¹⁵王在耶路撒冷使金銀多如石頭，香柏木多如高原的桑樹。The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as abundant as sycamore in the foothills.

¹⁶所羅門的馬是從埃及帶來的，是王的商人一群一群按著定價買來的。Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and Kue; the royal merchants purchased them from Kue.

¹⁷他們從埃及買來的車，每輛價銀六百舍客勒，馬每匹一百五十舍客勒。赫人諸王和亞蘭諸王所買的車馬，也是按這價值經他們手買來的。A chariot could be imported from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. Likewise, they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of Aram.

預備建殿的工人

¹所羅門定意要為耶和華的名建造殿宇，又為自己的國建造宮室。Now Solomon purposed to build a house for the Name of the LORD and a royal palace for himself.

²所羅門就挑選七萬扛抬的，八萬在山上鑿石頭的，三千六百督工的。So he conscripted 70,000 porters, 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains, and 3,600 supervisors.

請泰爾王希蘭協助

³所羅門差人去見泰爾王希蘭，說：「你曾運香柏木與我父大衛建宮居住，求你也這樣待我。Then Solomon sent word to Hiram king of Tyre: “Do for me as you did for my father David when you sent him cedars to build himself a house to live in.

⁴我要為耶和華─我　神的名建造殿宇，分別為聖獻給他，在他面前焚燒美香，常擺陳設餅，每早晚、安息日、月朔，並耶和華─我們　神所定的節期獻燔祭。這是以色列人永遠的定例。Behold, I am about to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God to dedicate to Him for burning fragrant incense before Him, for displaying the showbread continuously, and for making burnt offerings every morning and evening as well as on the Sabbaths, New Moons, and appointed feasts of the LORD our God. This is ordained for Israel forever.

⁵我所要建造的殿宇甚大；因為我們的　神至大，超乎諸神。The house that I am building will be great, for our God is greater than all gods.

⁶天和天上的天，尚且不足他居住的，誰能為他建造殿宇呢？我是誰？能為他建造殿宇嗎？不過在他面前燒香而已。But who is able to build a house for Him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain Him? Who then am I, that I should build a house for Him, except as a place to burn sacrifices before Him?

⁷現在求你差一個巧匠來，就是善用金、銀、銅、鐵，和紫色、朱紅色、藍色線，並精於雕刻之工的巧匠，與我父大衛在猶大和耶路撒冷所預備的巧匠一同做工；Send me, therefore, a craftsman skilled in engraving to work with gold and silver, with bronze and iron, and with purple, crimson, and blue yarn. He will work with my craftsmen in Judah and Jerusalem, whom my father David provided.

⁸又求你從黎巴嫩運些香柏木、松木、檀香木到我這裡來，因我知道你的僕人善於砍伐黎巴嫩的樹木。我的僕人也必與你的僕人同工。Send me also cedar, cypress, and algum logs from Lebanon, for I know that your servants have skill to cut timber there. And indeed, my servants will work with yours

⁹這樣，可以給我預備許多的木料，因我要建造的殿宇高大出奇。to prepare for me timber in abundance, because the temple I am building will be great and wonderful.

¹⁰你的僕人砍伐樹木，我必給他們打好了的小麥二萬歌珥，大麥二萬歌珥，酒二萬罷特，油二萬罷特。」I will pay your servants, the woodcutters, 20,000 cors of ground wheat, 20,000 cors of barley, 20,000 baths of wine, and 20,000 baths of olive oil.”

希蘭回信

¹¹泰爾王希蘭寫信回答所羅門說：「耶和華因為愛他的子民，所以立你作他們的王」；Then Hiram king of Tyre wrote a letter in reply to Solomon: “Because the LORD loves His people, He has set you over them as king.”

¹²又說：「創造天地的耶和華─以色列的　神是應當稱頌的！他賜給大衛王一個有智慧的兒子，使他有謀略聰明，可以為耶和華建造殿宇，又為自己的國建造宮室。And Hiram added: “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, who made the heavens and the earth! He has given King David a wise son with insight and understanding, who will build a temple for the LORD and a royal palace for himself.

¹³「現在我打發一個精巧有聰明的人去，他是我父親希蘭所用的，So now I am sending you Huram-abi, a skillful man endowed with creativity.

¹⁴是但支派一個婦人的兒子。他父親是泰爾人，他善用金、銀、銅、鐵、石、木，和紫色、藍色、朱紅色線與細麻製造各物，並精於雕刻，又能想出各樣的巧工。請你派定這人，與你的巧匠和你父─我主大衛的巧匠一同做工。He is the son of a woman from the daughters of Dan, and his father is a man of Tyre. He is skilled in work with gold and silver, bronze and iron, stone and wood, purple, blue, and crimson yarn, and fine linen. He is experienced in every kind of engraving and can execute any design that is given him. He will work with your craftsmen and with those of my lord, your father David.

¹⁵我主所說的小麥、大麥、酒、油，願我主運來給眾僕人。Now let my lord send to his servants the wheat, barley, olive oil, and wine he promised.

¹⁶我們必照你所需用的，從黎巴嫩砍伐樹木，紮成筏子，浮海運到約帕；你可以從那裡運到耶路撒冷。」We will cut logs from Lebanon, as many as you need, and we will float them to you as rafts by sea down to Joppa. Then you can take them up to Jerusalem.”

數點寄居的外邦人做工

¹⁷所羅門仿照他父大衛數點住在以色列地所有寄居的外邦人，共有十五萬三千六百名；Solomon numbered all the foreign men in the land of Israel following the census his father David had conducted, and there were found to be 153,600 in all.

¹⁸使七萬人扛抬材料，八萬人在山上鑿石頭，三千六百人督理工作。Solomon made 70,000 of them porters, 80,000 stonecutters in the mountains, and 3,600 supervisors.

在摩利亞山開工建殿

¹所羅門就在耶路撒冷、耶和華向他父大衛顯現的摩利亞山上，就是耶布斯人阿珥楠的禾場上、大衛所指定的地方預備好了，開工建造耶和華的殿。Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David. This was the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

²所羅門作王第四年二月初二日開工建造。Solomon began construction on the second day of the second month in the fourth year of his reign.

³所羅門建築　神殿的根基，乃是這樣：長六十肘，寬二十肘，都按著古時的尺寸。The foundation that Solomon laid for the house of God was sixty cubits long and twenty cubits wide, according to the old standard.

⁴殿前的廊子長二十肘，與殿的寬窄一樣，高一百二十肘；裡面貼上精金。The portico at the front, extending across the width of the temple, was twenty cubits long and twenty cubits high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold.

⁵大殿的牆都用松木板遮蔽，又貼了精金，上面雕刻棕樹和鍊子；He paneled the main room with cypress, which he overlaid with fine gold and decorated with palm trees and chains.

⁶又用寶石裝飾殿牆，使殿華美；所用的金子都是巴瓦音的金子。He adorned the temple with precious stones for beauty, and its gold was from Parvaim.

⁷又用金子貼殿和殿的棟樑、門檻、牆壁、門扇；牆上雕刻基路伯。He overlaid its beams, thresholds, walls, and doors with gold, and he carved cherubim on the walls.

至聖所與基路伯

⁸又建造至聖所，長二十肘，與殿的寬窄一樣，寬也是二十肘；貼上精金，共用金子六百他連得。Then he made the Most Holy Place; its length corresponded to the width of the temple—twenty cubits long and twenty cubits wide. And he overlaid the inside with six hundred talents of fine gold.

⁹金釘重五十舍客勒。樓房都貼上金子。The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He also overlaid the upper rooms with gold.

¹⁰在至聖所按造像的法子造兩個基路伯，用金子包裹。In the Most Holy Place he made two cherubim of sculptured work, and he overlaid them with gold.

¹¹兩個基路伯的翅膀共長二十肘。這基路伯的一個翅膀長五肘，挨著殿這邊的牆；那一個翅膀也長五肘，與那基路伯翅膀相接。The total wingspan of the cherubim was twenty cubits. One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long and touched the wall of the temple, and its other wing was five cubits long and touched the wing of the other cherub.

¹²那基路伯的一個翅膀長五肘，挨著殿那邊的牆；那一個翅膀也長五肘，與這基路伯的翅膀相接。The wing of the second cherub also measured five cubits and touched the wall of the temple, while its other wing measured five cubits and touched the wing of the first cherub.

¹³兩個基路伯張開翅膀，共長二十肘，面向外殿而立。So the total wingspan of these cherubim was twenty cubits. They stood on their feet, facing the main room.

¹⁴又用藍色、紫色、朱紅色線和細麻織幔子，在其上繡出基路伯來。He made the veil of blue, purple, and crimson yarn and fine linen, with cherubim woven into it.

殿前的兩根柱子

¹⁵在殿前造了兩根柱子，高三十五肘；每柱頂高五肘。In front of the temple he made two pillars, which together were thirty-five cubits high, each with a capital on top measuring five cubits.

¹⁶又照聖所內鍊子的樣式做鍊子，安在柱頂上；又做一百石榴，安在鍊子上。He made interwoven chains and put them on top of the pillars. He made a hundred pomegranates and fastened them into the chainwork.

¹⁷將兩根柱子立在殿前，一根在右邊，一根在左邊；右邊的起名叫雅斤，左邊的起名叫波阿斯。Then he set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the south and one on the north. The pillar on the south he named Jachin, and the pillar on the north he named Boaz.

銅壇、銅海和洗濯的盆

¹他又製造一座銅壇，長二十肘，寬二十肘，高十肘；He made a bronze altar twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and ten cubits high.

²又鑄一個銅海，樣式是圓的，高五肘，徑十肘，圍三十肘；He also made the Sea of cast metal. It was circular in shape, measuring ten cubits from rim to rim, five cubits in height, and thirty cubits in circumference.

³海周圍有野瓜（野瓜：原文是牛）的樣式，每肘十瓜，共有兩行，是鑄海的時候鑄上的；Below the rim, figures of oxen encircled it, ten per cubit all the way around the Sea, cast in two rows as a part of the Sea.

⁴有十二隻銅牛馱海：三隻向北，三隻向西，三隻向南，三隻向東；海在牛上，牛尾向內；The Sea stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east. The Sea rested on them, with all their hindquarters toward the center.

⁵海厚一掌，邊如杯邊，又如百合花，可容三千罷特；It was a handbreadth thick, and its rim was fashioned like the brim of a cup, like a lily blossom. It could hold three thousand baths.

⁶又製造十個盆：五個放在右邊，五個放在左邊，獻燔祭所用之物都洗在其內；但海是為祭司沐浴的。He also made ten basins for washing and placed five on the south side and five on the north. The parts of the burnt offering were rinsed in them, but the priests used the Sea for washing.

⁷他又照所定的樣式造十個金燈臺，放在殿裡：五個在右邊，五個在左邊；He made ten gold lampstands according to their specifications and placed them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north.

⁸又造十張桌子放在殿裡：五張在右邊，五張在左邊；又造一百個金碗；Additionally, he made ten tables and placed them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. He also made a hundred gold bowls.

⁹又建立祭司院和大院，並院門，用銅包裹門扇；He made the courtyard of the priests and the large court with its doors, and he overlaid the doors with bronze.

¹⁰將海安在殿門的右邊，就是南邊。He put the Sea on the south side, at the southeast corner.

戶蘭完成銅器

¹¹戶蘭又造了盆、鏟、碗。這樣，他為所羅門王做完了　神殿的工。Additionally, Huram made the pots, shovels, and sprinkling bowls. So Huram finished the work that he had undertaken for King Solomon in the house of God:

¹²所造的就是：兩根柱子和柱上兩個如球的頂，並兩個蓋柱頂的網子the two pillars; the two bowl-shaped capitals atop the pillars; the two sets of network covering both bowls of the capitals atop the pillars;

¹³和四百石榴，安在兩個網子上〈每網兩行蓋著兩個柱上如球的頂〉。the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of network (two rows of pomegranates for each network covering both the bowl-shaped capitals atop the pillars);

¹⁴盆座和其上的盆，the stands; the basins on the stands;

¹⁵海和海下的十二隻牛，the Sea; the twelve oxen underneath the Sea;

¹⁶盆、鏟子、肉鍤子，與耶和華殿裡的一切器皿，都是巧匠戶蘭用光亮的銅為所羅門王造成的，and the pots, shovels, meat forks, and all the other articles. All these objects that Huram-abi made for King Solomon for the house of the LORD were of polished bronze.

¹⁷是在約旦平原疏割和撒利但中間藉膠泥鑄成的。The king had them cast in clay molds in the plain of the Jordan between Succoth and Zeredah.

¹⁸所羅門製造的這一切甚多，銅的輕重無法可查。Solomon made all these articles in such great abundance that the weight of the bronze could not be determined.

殿裡的金器

¹⁹所羅門又造　神殿裡的金壇和陳設餅的桌子，Solomon also made all the furnishings for the house of God: the golden altar; the tables on which was placed the Bread of the Presence;

²⁰並精金的燈臺和燈盞，可以照例點在內殿前。the lampstands of pure gold and their lamps, to burn in front of the inner sanctuary as prescribed;

²¹燈臺上的花和燈盞，並蠟剪都是金的，且是純金的；the flowers, lamps, and tongs of gold—of purest gold;

²²又用精金製造鑷子、盤子、調羹、火鼎。至於殿門和至聖所的門扇，並殿的門扇，都是金子妝飾的。the wick trimmers, sprinkling bowls, ladles, and censers of pure gold; and the gold doors of the temple: the inner doors to the Most Holy Place as well as the doors of the main hall.

把大衛奉獻的物帶進府庫

¹所羅門做完了耶和華殿的一切工，就把他父大衛分別為聖的金銀和器皿都帶來，放在　神殿的府庫裡。So all the work that Solomon had performed for the house of the LORD was completed. Then Solomon brought in the items his father David had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and all the furnishings—and he placed them in the treasuries of the house of God.

公會想殺使徒

³³公會的人聽見就極其惱怒，想要殺他們。When the Council members heard this, they were enraged, and they resolved to put the apostles to death.

迦瑪列的勸告

³⁴但有一個法利賽人，名叫迦瑪列，是眾百姓所敬重的教法師，在公會中站起來，吩咐人把使徒暫且帶到外面去，But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a short time.

³⁵就對眾人說：「以色列人哪，論到這些人，你們應當小心怎樣辦理。“Men of Israel,” he said, “consider carefully what you are about to do to these men.

³⁶從前杜達起來，自誇為大；附從他的人約有四百，他被殺後，附從他的全都散了，歸於無有。Some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men joined him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing.

³⁷此後，報名上冊的時候，又有加利利的猶大起來，引誘些百姓跟從他；他也滅亡，附從他的人也都四散了。After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and drew away people after him. He too perished, and all his followers were scattered.

³⁸現在，我勸你們不要管這些人，任憑他們吧！他們所謀的、所行的，若是出於人，必要敗壞；So in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone. Let them go! For if their purpose or endeavor is of human origin, it will fail.

³⁹若是出於　神，你們就不能敗壞他們，恐怕你們倒是攻擊　神了。」But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God.”

使徒被打後釋放

⁴⁰公會的人聽從了他，便叫使徒來，把他們打了，又吩咐他們不可奉耶穌的名講道，就把他們釋放了。At this, they yielded to Gamaliel. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and released them.

歡喜為主的名受辱

⁴¹他們離開公會，心裡歡喜，因被算是配為這名受辱。The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.

⁴²他們就每日在殿裡、在家裡不住地教訓人，傳耶穌是基督。Every day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.
