少年先知膏耶戶

¹先知以利沙叫了一個先知門徒來，吩咐他說：「你束上腰，手拿這瓶膏油往基列的拉末去。Now Elisha the prophet summoned one of the sons of the prophets and said to him, “Tuck your cloak under your belt, take this flask of oil, and go to Ramoth-gilead.

²到了那裡，要尋找寧示的孫子、約沙法的兒子耶戶，使他從同僚中起來，帶他進嚴密的屋子，When you arrive, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi. Go in, get him away from his companions, and take him to an inner room.

³將瓶裡的膏油倒在他頭上，說：『耶和華如此說：我膏你作以色列王。』說完了，就開門逃跑，不要遲延。」Then take the flask of oil, pour it on his head, and declare, ‘This is what the LORD says: I anoint you king over Israel.’ Then open the door and run. Do not delay!”

⁴於是那少年先知往基列的拉末去了。So the young prophet went to Ramoth-gilead,

⁵到了那裡，看見眾軍長都坐著，就說：「將軍哪，我有話對你說。」耶戶說：「我們眾人裡，你要對哪一個說呢？」回答說：「將軍哪，我要對你說。」and when he arrived, the army commanders were sitting there. “I have a message for you, commander,” he said. “For which of us?” asked Jehu. “For you, commander,” he replied.

⁶耶戶就起來，進了屋子，少年人將膏油倒在他頭上，對他說：「耶和華─以色列的　神如此說：『我膏你作耶和華民以色列的王。So Jehu got up and went into the house, where the young prophet poured the oil on his head and declared, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anoint you king over the LORD’s people Israel.

⁷你要擊殺你主人亞哈的全家，我好在耶洗別身上伸我僕人眾先知和耶和華一切僕人流血的冤。And you are to strike down the house of your master Ahab, so that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets and the blood of all the servants of the LORD shed by the hand of Jezebel.

⁸亞哈全家必都滅亡，凡屬亞哈的男丁，無論是困住的、自由的，我必從以色列中剪除，The whole house of Ahab will perish, and I will cut off from Ahab every male, both slave and free, in Israel.

⁹使亞哈的家像尼八兒子耶羅波安的家，又像亞希雅兒子巴沙的家。I will make the house of Ahab like the houses of Jeroboam son of Nebat and Baasha son of Ahijah.

¹⁰耶洗別必在耶斯列田裡被狗所吃，無人葬埋。』」說完了，少年人就開門逃跑了。And on the plot of ground at Jezreel the dogs will devour Jezebel, and there will be no one to bury her.’” Then the young prophet opened the door and ran.

軍長們擁立耶戶

¹¹耶戶出來，回到他主人的臣僕那裡，有一人問他說：「平安嗎？這狂妄的人來見你有甚麼事呢？」回答說：「你們認得那人，也知道他說甚麼。」When Jehu went out to the servants of his master, they asked, “Is everything all right? Why did this madman come to you?” “You know his kind and their babble,” he replied.

¹²他們說：「這是假話，你據實地告訴我們。」回答說：「他如此如此對我說。他說：『耶和華如此說：我膏你作以色列王。』」“That is a lie!” they said. “Tell us now!” So Jehu answered, “He talked to me about this and that, saying, ‘This is what the LORD says: I anoint you king over Israel.’”

¹³他們就急忙各將自己的衣服鋪在上層臺階，使耶戶坐在其上；他們吹角，說：「耶戶作王了！」Quickly, each man took his garment and put it under Jehu on the bare steps. Then they blew the ram’s horn and proclaimed, “Jehu is king!”

耶戶駕車往耶斯列

¹⁴這樣，寧示的孫子、約沙法的兒子耶戶背叛約蘭。先是約蘭和以色列眾人因為亞蘭王哈薛的緣故，把守基列的拉末；Thus Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. (Now Joram and all Israel had been defending Ramoth-gilead against Hazael king of Aram,

¹⁵但約蘭王回到耶斯列，醫治與亞蘭王哈薛打仗所受的傷。耶戶說：「若合你們的意思，就不容人逃出城往耶斯列報信去。」but King Joram had returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds he had suffered at the hands of the Arameans in the battle against Hazael their king.) So Jehu said, “If you commanders wish to make me king, then do not let anyone escape from the city to go and tell it in Jezreel.”

¹⁶於是耶戶坐車往耶斯列去，因為約蘭病臥在那裡。猶大王亞哈謝已經下去看望他。Then Jehu got into his chariot and went to Jezreel, because Joram was laid up there. And Ahaziah king of Judah had gone down to see him.

¹⁷有一個守望的人站在耶斯列的樓上，看見耶戶帶著一群人來，就說：「我看見一群人。」約蘭說：「打發一個騎馬的去迎接他們，問說：平安不平安？」Now the watchman standing on the tower in Jezreel saw Jehu’s troops approaching, and he called out, “I see a company of troops!” “Choose a rider,” Joram commanded. “Send him out to meet them and ask, ‘Have you come in peace?’”

¹⁸騎馬的就去迎接耶戶，說：「王問說，平安不平安？」耶戶說：「平安不平安與你何干？你轉在我後頭吧！」守望的人又說：「使者到了他們那裡，卻不回來。」So a horseman rode off to meet Jehu and said, “This is what the king asks: ‘Have you come in peace?’” “What do you know about peace?” Jehu replied. “Fall in behind me.” And the watchman reported, “The messenger reached them, but he is not coming back.”

¹⁹王又打發一個騎馬的去。這人到了他們那裡，說：「王問說，平安不平安？」耶戶說：「平安不平安與你何干？你轉在我後頭吧！」So the king sent out a second horseman, who went to them and said, “This is what the king asks: ‘Have you come in peace?’” “What do you know about peace?” Jehu replied. “Fall in behind me.”

²⁰守望的人又說：「他到了他們那裡，也不回來；車趕得甚猛，像寧示的孫子耶戶的趕法。」Again the watchman reported, “He reached them, but he is not coming back. And the charioteer is driving like Jehu son of Nimshi—he is driving like a madman!”

約蘭死在拿伯的田間

²¹約蘭吩咐說：「套車！」人就給他套車。以色列王約蘭和猶大王亞哈謝各坐自己的車出去迎接耶戶，在耶斯列人拿伯的田那裡遇見他。“Harness!” Joram shouted, and they harnessed his chariot. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah set out, each in his own chariot, and met Jehu on the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.

²²約蘭見耶戶就說：「耶戶啊，平安嗎？」耶戶說：「你母親耶洗別的淫行邪術這樣多，焉能平安呢？」When Joram saw Jehu, he asked, “Have you come in peace, Jehu?” “How can there be peace,” he replied, “as long as the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel abound?”

²³約蘭就轉車逃跑，對亞哈謝說：「亞哈謝啊，反了！」Joram turned around and fled, calling out to Ahaziah, “Treachery, Ahaziah!”

²⁴耶戶開滿了弓，射中約蘭的脊背，箭從心窩穿出，約蘭就仆倒在車上。Then Jehu drew his bow and shot Joram between the shoulders. The arrow pierced his heart, and he slumped down in his chariot.

²⁵耶戶對他的軍長畢甲說：「你把他拋在耶斯列人拿伯的田間。你當追想，你我一同坐車跟隨他父亞哈的時候，耶和華對亞哈所說的預言，And Jehu said to Bidkar his officer, “Pick him up and throw him into the field of Naboth the Jezreelite. For remember that when you and I were riding together behind his father Ahab, the LORD lifted up this burden against him:

²⁶說：『我昨日看見拿伯的血和他眾子的血，我必在這塊田上報應你。』這是耶和華說的，現在你要照著耶和華的話，把他拋在這田間。」‘As surely as I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons yesterday, declares the LORD, so will I repay you on this plot of ground, declares the LORD.’ Now then, according to the word of the LORD, pick him up and throw him on the plot of ground.”

猶大王亞哈謝被殺

²⁷猶大王亞哈謝見這光景，就從園亭之路逃跑。耶戶追趕他，說：「把這人也殺在車上。」到了靠近以伯蓮的姑珥坡上擊傷了他。他逃到米吉多，就死在那裡。When King Ahaziah of Judah saw this, he fled up the road toward Beth-haggan. And Jehu pursued him, shouting, “Shoot him too!” So they shot Ahaziah in his chariot on the Ascent of Gur, near Ibleam, and he fled to Megiddo and died there.

²⁸他的臣僕用車將他的屍首送到耶路撒冷，葬在大衛城他自己的墳墓裡，與他列祖同葬。Then his servants carried him by chariot to Jerusalem and buried him with his fathers in his tomb in the City of David.

耶洗別的結局

³⁰耶戶到了耶斯列；耶洗別聽見就擦粉、梳頭，從窗戶裡往外觀看。Now when Jehu arrived in Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it. So she painted her eyes, adorned her head, and looked down from a window.

³¹耶戶進門的時候，耶洗別說：「殺主人的心利啊，平安嗎？」And as Jehu entered the gate, she asked, “Have you come in peace, O Zimri, murderer of your master?”

³²耶戶抬頭向窗戶觀看，說：「誰順從我？」有兩三個太監從窗戶往外看他。He looked up at the window and called out, “Who is on my side? Who?” And two or three eunuchs looked down at him.

³³耶戶說：「把她扔下來！」他們就把她扔下來。她的血濺在牆上和馬上；於是把她踐踏了。“Throw her down!” yelled Jehu. So they threw her down, and her blood splattered on the wall and on the horses as they trampled her underfoot.

³⁴耶戶進去，吃了喝了，吩咐說：「你們把這被咒詛的婦人葬埋了，因為她是王的女兒。」Then Jehu went in and ate and drank. “Take care of this cursed woman,” he said, “and bury her, for she was the daughter of a king.”

³⁵他們就去葬埋她，只尋得她的頭骨和腳，並手掌。But when they went out to bury her, they found nothing but her skull, her feet, and the palms of her hands.

³⁶他們回去告訴耶戶，耶戶說：「這正應驗耶和華藉他僕人提斯比人以利亞所說的話，說：『在耶斯列田間，狗必吃耶洗別的肉；So they went back and told Jehu, who replied, “This is the word of the LORD, which He spoke through His servant Elijah the Tishbite: ‘On the plot of ground at Jezreel the dogs will devour the flesh of Jezebel.

³⁷耶洗別的屍首必在耶斯列田間如同糞土，甚至人不能說這是耶洗別。』」And Jezebel’s body will lie like dung in the field on the plot of ground at Jezreel, so that no one can say: This is Jezebel.’”

亞哈的七十個兒子被殺

¹亞哈有七十個兒子在撒馬利亞。耶戶寫信送到撒馬利亞，通知耶斯列的首領，就是長老和教養亞哈眾子的人，說：Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. So Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria to the officials of Jezreel, to the elders, and to the guardians of the sons of Ahab, saying:

²「你們那裡既有你們主人的眾子和車馬、器械、堅固城，“When this letter arrives, since your master’s sons are with you and you have chariots and horses, a fortified city and weaponry,

³接了這信，就可以在你們主人的眾子中選擇一個賢能合宜的，使他坐他父親的位，你們也可以為你們主人的家爭戰。」select the best and most worthy son of your master, set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.”

⁴他們卻甚懼怕，彼此說：「二王在他面前尚且站立不住，我們怎能站得住呢？」But they were terrified and reasoned, “If two kings could not stand against him, how can we?”

⁵家宰、邑宰，和長老，並教養眾子的人，打發人去見耶戶，說：「我們是你的僕人，凡你所吩咐我們的都必遵行，我們不立誰作王，你看怎樣好就怎樣行。」So the palace administrator, the overseer of the city, the elders, and the guardians sent a message to Jehu: “We are your servants, and we will do whatever you say. We will not make anyone king. Do whatever is good in your sight.”

⁶耶戶又給他們寫信說：「你們若歸順我，聽從我的話，明日這時候，要將你們主人眾子的首級帶到耶斯列來見我。」那時王的兒子七十人都住在教養他們那城中的尊貴人家裡。Then Jehu wrote them a second letter and said: “If you are on my side, and if you will obey me, then bring the heads of your master’s sons to me at Jezreel by this time tomorrow.” Now the sons of the king, seventy in all, were being brought up by the leading men of the city.

⁷信一到，他們就把王的七十個兒子殺了，將首級裝在筐裡，送到在耶斯列的耶戶那裡。And when the letter arrived, they took the sons of the king and slaughtered all seventy of them. They put their heads in baskets and sent them to Jehu at Jezreel.

⁸有使者來告訴耶戶說：「他們將王眾子的首級送來了。」耶戶說：「將首級在城門口堆作兩堆，擱到明日。」When the messenger arrived, he told Jehu, “They have brought the heads of the sons of the king.” And Jehu ordered, “Pile them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until morning.”

⁹次日早晨，耶戶出來，站著對眾民說：「你們都是公義的，我背叛我主人，將他殺了；這些人卻是誰殺的呢？The next morning, Jehu went out and stood before all the people and said, “You are innocent. It was I who conspired against my master and killed him. But who killed all these?

¹⁰由此可知，耶和華指著亞哈家所說的話一句沒有落空，因為耶和華藉他僕人以利亞所說的話都成就了。」Know, then, that not a word the LORD has spoken against the house of Ahab will fail, for the LORD has done what He promised through His servant Elijah.”

¹¹凡亞哈家在耶斯列所剩下的人和他的大臣、密友、祭司，耶戶盡都殺了，沒有留下一個。So Jehu killed everyone in Jezreel who remained of the house of Ahab, as well as all his great men and close friends and priests, leaving him without a single survivor.

亞哈謝的弟兄被殺

¹²耶戶起身往撒馬利亞去。在路上、牧人剪羊毛之處，Then Jehu set out toward Samaria. At Beth-eked of the Shepherds,

¹³遇見猶大王亞哈謝的弟兄，問他們說：「你們是誰？」回答說：「我們是亞哈謝的弟兄，現在下去要問王和太后的眾子安。」Jehu met some relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah and asked, “Who are you?” “We are relatives of Ahaziah,” they answered, “and we have come down to greet the sons of the king and of the queen mother.”

¹⁴耶戶吩咐說：「活捉他們！」跟從的人就活捉了他們，將他們殺在剪羊毛之處的坑邊，共四十二人，沒有留下一個。Then Jehu ordered, “Take them alive.” So his men took them alive, then slaughtered them at the well of Beth-eked—forty-two men. He spared none of them.

約拿達與耶戶同車

¹⁵耶戶從那裡前行，恰遇利甲的兒子約拿達來迎接他，耶戶問他安，對他說：「你誠心待我像我誠心待你嗎？」約拿達回答說：「是。」耶戶說：「若是這樣，你向我伸手」，他就伸手；耶戶拉他上車。When he left there, he found Jehonadab son of Rechab, who was coming to meet him. Jehu greeted him and asked, “Is your heart as true to mine as my heart is to yours?” “It is!” Jehonadab replied. “If it is,” said Jehu, “give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and Jehu helped him into his chariot,

¹⁶耶戶說：「你和我同去，看我為耶和華怎樣熱心」；於是請他坐在車上，saying, “Come with me and see my zeal for the LORD!” So he had him ride in his chariot.

¹⁷到了撒馬利亞，就把撒馬利亞的亞哈家剩下的人都殺了，直到滅盡，正如耶和華對以利亞所說的。When Jehu came to Samaria, he struck down everyone belonging to Ahab who remained there, until he had destroyed them, according to the word that the LORD had spoken to Elijah.

耶戶剷除拜巴力的人

¹⁸耶戶招聚眾民，對他們說：「亞哈事奉巴力還冷淡，耶戶卻更熱心。Then Jehu brought all the people together and said, “Ahab served Baal a little, but Jehu will serve him a lot.

¹⁹現在我要給巴力獻大祭。應當叫巴力的眾先知和一切拜巴力的人，並巴力的眾祭司，都到我這裡來，不可缺少一個；凡不來的必不得活。」耶戶這樣行，是用詭計要殺盡拜巴力的人。Now, therefore, summon to me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests. See that no one is missing, for I have a great sacrifice for Baal. Whoever is missing will not live.” But Jehu was acting deceptively in order to destroy the servants of Baal.

²⁰耶戶說：「要為巴力宣告嚴肅會！」於是宣告了。And Jehu commanded, “Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal.” So they announced it.

²¹耶戶差人走遍以色列地；凡拜巴力的人都來齊了，沒有一個不來的。他們進了巴力廟，巴力廟中從前邊直到後邊都滿了人。Then Jehu sent word throughout Israel, and all the servants of Baal came; there was not a man who failed to show. They entered the temple of Baal, and it was filled from end to end.

²²耶戶吩咐掌管禮服的人說：「拿出禮服來，給一切拜巴力的人穿。」他就拿出禮服來給了他們。And Jehu said to the keeper of the wardrobe, “Bring out garments for all the servants of Baal.” So he brought out garments for them.

²³耶戶和利甲的兒子約拿達進了巴力廟，對拜巴力的人說：「你們察看察看，在你們這裡不可有耶和華的僕人，只可容留拜巴力的人。」Next, Jehu and Jehonadab son of Rechab entered the temple of Baal, and Jehu said to the servants of Baal, “Look around to see that there are no servants of the LORD here among you—only servants of Baal.”

²⁴耶戶和約拿達進去，獻平安祭和燔祭。耶戶先安派八十人在廟外，吩咐說：「我將這些人交在你們手中，若有一人脫逃，誰放的必叫他償命！」And they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had stationed eighty men outside and warned them, “If anyone allows one of the men I am delivering into your hands to escape, he will forfeit his life for theirs.”

²⁵耶戶獻完了燔祭，就出來吩咐護衛兵和眾軍長說：「你們進去殺他們，不容一人出來！」護衛兵和軍長就用刀殺他們，將屍首拋出去，便到巴力廟的城去了，When he had finished making the burnt offering, Jehu said to the guards and officers, “Go in and kill them. Do not let anyone out.” So the guards and officers put them to the sword, threw the bodies out, and went into the inner room of the temple of Baal.

²⁶將巴力廟中的柱像都拿出來燒了；They brought out the sacred pillar of the temple of Baal and burned it.

²⁷毀壞了巴力柱像，拆毀了巴力廟作為廁所，直到今日。They also demolished the sacred pillar of Baal. Then they tore down the temple of Baal and made it into a latrine, which it is to this day.

²⁸這樣，耶戶在以色列中滅了巴力。Thus Jehu eradicated Baal from Israel,

耶戶仍拜金牛犢

²⁹只是耶戶不離開尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的那罪，就是拜伯特利和但的金牛犢。but he did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit—the worship of the golden calves at Bethel and Dan.

³⁰耶和華對耶戶說：「因你辦好我眼中看為正的事，照我的心意待亞哈家，你的子孫必接續你坐以色列的國位，直到四代。」Nevertheless, the LORD said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in carrying out what is right in My sight and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in My heart, four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel.”

³¹只是耶戶不盡心遵守耶和華─以色列　神的律法，不離開耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的那罪。Yet Jehu was not careful to follow the instruction of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam had caused Israel to commit.

哈薛侵佔河東之地

³²在那些日子，耶和華才割裂以色列國，使哈薛攻擊以色列的境界，In those days the LORD began to reduce the size of Israel. Hazael defeated the Israelites throughout their territory

³³乃是約旦河東、基列全地，從靠近亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥起，就是基列和巴珊的迦得人、流便人、瑪拿西人之地。from the Jordan eastward through all the land of Gilead (the region of Gad, Reuben, and Manasseh), and from Aroer by the Arnon Valley through Gilead to Bashan.

耶戶去世

³⁴耶戶其餘的事，凡他所行的和他的勇力都寫在以色列諸王記上。As for the rest of the acts of Jehu, along with all his accomplishments and all his might, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

³⁵耶戶與他列祖同睡，葬在撒馬利亞；他兒子約哈斯接續他作王。And Jehu rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria, and his son Jehoahaz reigned in his place.

³⁶耶戶在撒馬利亞作以色列王二十八年。So the duration of Jehu’s reign over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.

馬利亞用香膏抹耶穌

¹逾越節前六日，耶穌來到伯大尼，就是他叫拉撒路從死裡復活之處。Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, the hometown of Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

²有人在那裡給耶穌預備筵席；馬大伺候，拉撒路也在那同耶穌坐席的人中。So they hosted a dinner for Jesus there. Martha served, and Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with Him.

³馬利亞就拿著一斤極貴的真哪噠香膏，抹耶穌的腳，又用自己頭髮去擦，屋裡就滿了膏的香氣。Then Mary took about a pint of expensive perfume, made of pure nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet and wiped them with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

⁴有一個門徒，就是那將要賣耶穌的加略人猶大，But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was going to betray Him, asked,

⁵說：「這香膏為甚麼不賣三十兩銀子賙濟窮人呢？」“Why wasn’t this perfume sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?”

⁶他說這話，並不是掛念窮人，乃因他是個賊，又帶著錢囊，常取其中所存的。Judas did not say this because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief. As keeper of the money bag, he used to take from what was put into it.

⁷耶穌說：「由她吧！她是為我安葬之日存留的。“Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “She has kept this perfume in preparation for the day of My burial.

⁸因為常有窮人和你們同在，只是你們不常有我。」The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me.”

祭司長商議連拉撒路也殺

⁹有許多猶太人知道耶穌在那裡，就來了，不但是為耶穌的緣故，也是要看他從死裡所復活的拉撒路。Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews learned that Jesus was there. And they came not only because of Him, but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

¹⁰但祭司長商議連拉撒路也要殺了；So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well,

¹¹因有好些猶太人為拉撒路的緣故，回去信了耶穌。for on account of him many of the Jews were deserting them and believing in Jesus.

耶穌騎驢駒進耶路撒冷

¹²第二天，有許多上來過節的人聽見耶穌將到耶路撒冷，The next day the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.

¹³就拿著棕樹枝出去迎接他，喊著說：和散那！奉主名來的以色列王是應當稱頌的！They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the King of Israel!”

¹⁴耶穌得了一個驢駒，就騎上，如經上所記的說：Finding a young donkey, Jesus sat on it, as it is written:

¹⁵錫安的民（原文是女子）哪，不要懼怕！你的王騎著驢駒來了。“Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion. See, your King is coming, seated on the colt of a donkey.”

¹⁶這些事門徒起先不明白，等到耶穌得了榮耀以後才想起這話是指著他寫的，並且眾人果然向他這樣行了。At first His disciples did not understand these things, but after Jesus was glorified they remembered what had been done to Him, and they realized that these very things had also been written about Him.

眾人出去迎接

¹⁷當耶穌呼喚拉撒路，叫他從死復活出墳墓的時候，同耶穌在那裡的眾人就作見證。Meanwhile, many people who had been with Jesus when He called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to testify.

¹⁸眾人因聽見耶穌行了這神蹟，就去迎接他。That is also why the crowd went out to meet Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.

¹⁹法利賽人彼此說：「看哪，你們是徒勞無益，世人都隨從他去了。」Then the Pharisees said to one another, “You can see that this is doing you no good. Look how the whole world has gone after Him!”

希臘人求見耶穌

²⁰那時，上來過節禮拜的人中，有幾個希臘人。Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the feast.

²¹他們來見加利利伯賽大的腓力，求他說：「先生，我們願意見耶穌。」They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested of him, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”

²²腓力去告訴安得烈，安得烈同腓力去告訴耶穌。Philip relayed this appeal to Andrew, and both of them went and told Jesus.

一粒麥子落在地裡死了

²³耶穌說：「人子得榮耀的時候到了。But Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

²⁴我實實在在地告訴你們，一粒麥子不落在地裡死了，仍舊是一粒，若是死了，就結出許多子粒來。Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a seed. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.

²⁵愛惜自己生命的，就失喪生命；在這世上恨惡自己生命的，就要保守生命到永生。Whoever loves his life will lose it, but whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

²⁶若有人服事我，就當跟從我；我在哪裡，服事我的人也要在那裡；若有人服事我，我父必尊重他。」If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, My servant will be as well. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

父啊，榮耀你的名

²⁷「我現在心裡憂愁，我說甚麼才好呢？父啊，救我脫離這時候；但我原是為這時候來的。Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? No, it is for this purpose that I have come to this hour.

²⁸父啊，願你榮耀你的名！」當時就有聲音從天上來，說：「我已經榮耀了我的名，還要再榮耀。」Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”

²⁹站在旁邊的眾人聽見，就說：「打雷了。」還有人說：「有天使對他說話。」The crowd standing there heard it and said that it had thundered. Others said that an angel had spoken to Him.

³⁰耶穌說：「這聲音不是為我，是為你們來的。In response, Jesus said, “This voice was not for My benefit, but yours.

從地上被舉起來

³¹現在這世界受審判，這世界的王要被趕出去。Now judgment is upon this world; now the prince of this world will be cast out.

³²我若從地上被舉起來，就要吸引萬人來歸我。」And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw everyone to Myself.”

³³耶穌這話原是指著自己將要怎樣死說的。He said this to indicate the kind of death He was going to die.

³⁴眾人回答說：「我們聽見律法上有話說，基督是永存的，你怎麼說『人子必須被舉起來』呢？這人子是誰呢？」The crowd replied, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever. So how can You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”

趁著有光行走

³⁵耶穌對他們說：「光在你們中間還有不多的時候，應當趁著有光行走，免得黑暗臨到你們；那在黑暗裡行走的，不知道往何處去。Then Jesus told them, “For a little while longer, the Light will be among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

³⁶你們應當趁著有光，信從這光，使你們成為光明之子。」耶穌說了這話，就離開他們隱藏了。While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of light.” After Jesus had spoken these things, He went away and was hidden from them.
