非利士人轄制以色列

¹以色列人又行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，耶和華將他們交在非利士人手中四十年。Again the Israelites did evil in the sight of the LORD, so He delivered them into the hand of the Philistines for forty years.

使者向瑪挪亞的妻顯現

²那時，有一個瑣拉人，是屬但族的，名叫瑪挪亞。他的妻不懷孕，不生育。Now there was a man from Zorah named Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, whose wife was barren and had no children.

³耶和華的使者向那婦人顯現，對她說：「向來你不懷孕，不生育，如今你必懷孕生一個兒子。The angel of the LORD appeared to the woman and said to her, “It is true that you are barren and have no children; but you will conceive and give birth to a son.

⁴所以你當謹慎，清酒濃酒都不可喝，一切不潔之物也不可吃。Now please be careful not to drink wine or strong drink, and not to eat anything unclean.

⁵你必懷孕生一個兒子，不可用剃頭刀剃他的頭，因為這孩子一出胎就歸　神作拿細耳人。他必起首拯救以色列人脫離非利士人的手。」For behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son. And no razor shall touch his head, because the boy will be a Nazirite to God from the womb, and he will begin the deliverance of Israel from the hand of the Philistines.”

⁶婦人就回去對丈夫說：「有一個神人到我面前來，他的相貌如　神使者的相貌，甚是可畏。我沒有問他從哪裡來，他也沒有將他的名告訴我，So the woman went and told her husband, “A man of God came to me. His appearance was like the angel of God, exceedingly awesome. I did not ask him where he came from, and he did not tell me his name.

⁷卻對我說：『你要懷孕生一個兒子，所以清酒濃酒都不可喝，一切不潔之物也不可吃；因為這孩子從出胎一直到死，必歸　神作拿細耳人。』」But he said to me, ‘Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son. Now, therefore, do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything unclean, because the boy will be a Nazirite to God from the womb until the day of his death.’”

瑪挪亞求問怎樣養育孩子

⁸瑪挪亞就祈求耶和華說：「主啊，求你再差遣那神人到我們這裡來，好指教我們怎樣待這將要生的孩子。」Then Manoah prayed to the LORD, “Please, O Lord, let the man of God You sent us come to us again to teach us how to raise the boy who is to be born.”

⁹神應允瑪挪亞的話；婦人正坐在田間的時候，　神的使者又到她那裡，她丈夫瑪挪亞卻沒有同她在一處。And God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the angel of God returned to the woman as she was sitting in the field; but her husband Manoah was not with her.

¹⁰婦人急忙跑去告訴丈夫說：「那日到我面前來的人，又向我顯現。」The woman ran quickly to tell her husband, “Behold, the man who came to me the other day has reappeared!”

¹¹瑪挪亞起來跟隨他的妻來到那人面前，對他說：「與這婦人說話的就是你嗎？」他說：「是我。」So Manoah got up and followed his wife. When he came to the man, he asked, “Are you the man who spoke to my wife?” “I am,” he said.

¹²瑪挪亞說：「願你的話應驗！我們當怎樣待這孩子，他後來當怎樣呢？」Then Manoah asked, “When your words come to pass, what will be the boy’s rule of life and mission?”

¹³耶和華的使者對瑪挪亞說：「我告訴婦人的一切事，她都當謹慎。So the angel of the LORD answered Manoah, “Your wife is to do everything I told her.

¹⁴葡萄樹所結的都不可吃，清酒濃酒都不可喝，一切不潔之物也不可吃。凡我所吩咐的，她都當遵守。」She must not eat anything that comes from the vine, nor drink any wine or strong drink, nor eat anything unclean. She must do everything I have commanded her.”

款留使者、獻上燔祭

¹⁵瑪挪亞對耶和華的使者說：「求你容我們款留你，好為你預備一隻山羊羔。」“Please stay here,” Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, “and we will prepare a young goat for you.”

¹⁶耶和華的使者對瑪挪亞說：「你雖然款留我，我卻不吃你的食物，你若預備燔祭就當獻與耶和華。」原來瑪挪亞不知道他是耶和華的使者。And the angel of the LORD replied, “Even if I stay, I will not eat your food. But if you prepare a burnt offering, offer it to the LORD.” For Manoah did not know that it was the angel of the LORD.

¹⁷瑪挪亞對耶和華的使者說：「請將你的名告訴我，到你話應驗的時候，我們好尊敬你。」Then Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, “What is your name, so that we may honor you when your word comes to pass?”

¹⁸耶和華的使者對他說：「你何必問我的名，我名是奇妙的。」“Why do you ask my name,” said the angel of the LORD, “since it is beyond comprehension?”

¹⁹瑪挪亞將一隻山羊羔和素祭在磐石上獻與耶和華，使者行奇妙的事；瑪挪亞和他的妻觀看，Then Manoah took a young goat and a grain offering and offered them on a rock to the LORD. And as Manoah and his wife looked on, the LORD did a marvelous thing.

²⁰見火焰從壇上往上升，耶和華的使者在壇上的火焰中也升上去了。瑪挪亞和他的妻看見，就俯伏於地。When the flame went up from the altar to the sky, the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame. When Manoah and his wife saw this, they fell facedown to the ground.

²¹耶和華的使者不再向瑪挪亞和他的妻顯現，瑪挪亞才知道他是耶和華的使者。And when the angel of the LORD did not appear again to Manoah and his wife, Manoah realized that it had been the angel of the LORD.

²²瑪挪亞對他的妻說：「我們必要死，因為看見了　神。」“We are going to die,” he said to his wife, “for we have seen God!”

²³他的妻卻對他說：「耶和華若要殺我們，必不從我們手裡收納燔祭和素祭，並不將這一切事指示我們，今日也不將這些話告訴我們。」But his wife replied, “If the LORD had intended to kill us, He would not have accepted the burnt offering and the grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown us all these things or spoken to us this way.”

參孫出生

²⁴後來婦人生了一個兒子，給他起名叫參孫。孩子長大，耶和華賜福與他。So the woman gave birth to a son and named him Samson. The boy grew, and the LORD blessed him.

²⁵在瑪哈尼‧但，就是瑣拉和以實陶中間，耶和華的靈才感動他。And the Spirit of the LORD began to stir him at Mahaneh-dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.

參孫要娶非利士女子

¹參孫下到亭拿，在那裡看見一個女子，是非利士人的女兒。One day Samson went down to Timnah, where he saw a young Philistine woman.

²參孫上來稟告他父母說：「我在亭拿看見一個女子，是非利士人的女兒，願你們給我娶來為妻。」So he returned and told his father and mother, “I have seen a daughter of the Philistines in Timnah. Now get her for me as a wife.”

³他父母說：「在你弟兄的女兒中，或在本國的民中，豈沒有一個女子，何致你去在未受割禮的非利士人中娶妻呢？」參孫對他父親說：「願你給我娶那女子，因我喜悅她。」But his father and mother replied, “Can’t you find a young woman among your relatives or among any of our people? Must you go to the uncircumcised Philistines to get a wife?” But Samson told his father, “Get her for me, for she is pleasing to my eyes.”

⁴他的父母卻不知道這事是出於耶和華，因為他找機會攻擊非利士人。那時，非利士人轄制以色列人。(Now his father and mother did not know this was from the LORD, who was seeking an occasion to move against the Philistines; for at that time the Philistines were ruling over Israel.)

撕裂獅子，死獅中有蜜

⁵參孫跟他父母下亭拿去，到了亭拿的葡萄園，見有一隻少壯獅子向他吼叫。Then Samson went down to Timnah with his father and mother and came to the vineyards of Timnah. Suddenly a young lion came roaring at him,

⁶耶和華的靈大大感動參孫，他雖然手無器械，卻將獅子撕裂，如同撕裂山羊羔一樣。他行這事並沒有告訴父母。and the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him, and he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as one would tear a young goat. But he did not tell his father or mother what he had done.

⁷參孫下去與女子說話，就喜悅她；Then Samson continued on his way down and spoke to the woman, because she was pleasing to his eyes.

⁸過了些日子，再下去要娶那女子，轉向道旁要看死獅，見有一群蜂子和蜜在死獅之內，When Samson returned later to take her, he left the road to see the lion’s carcass, and in it was a swarm of bees, along with their honey.

⁹就用手取蜜，且吃且走；到了父母那裡，給他父母，他們也吃了；只是沒有告訴這蜜是從死獅之內取來的。So he scooped some honey into his hands and ate it as he went along. And when he returned to his father and mother, he gave some to them and they ate it. But he did not tell them that he had taken the honey from the lion’s carcass.

婚宴上的謎語

¹⁰他父親下去見女子。參孫在那裡設擺筵宴，因為向來少年人都有這個規矩。Then his father went to visit the woman, and Samson prepared a feast there, as was customary for the bridegroom.

¹¹眾人看見參孫，就請了三十個人陪伴他。And when the Philistines saw him, they selected thirty men to accompany him.

¹²參孫對他們說：「我給你們出一個謎語，你們在七日筵宴之內，若能猜出意思告訴我，我就給你們三十件裡衣，三十套衣裳；“Let me tell you a riddle,” Samson said to them. “If you can solve it for me within the seven days of the feast, I will give you thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes.

¹³你們若不能猜出意思告訴我，你們就給我三十件裡衣，三十套衣裳。」他們說：「請將謎語說給我們聽。」But if you cannot solve it, you must give me thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes.” “Tell us your riddle,” they replied. “Let us hear it.”

¹⁴參孫對他們說：吃的從吃者出來；甜的從強者出來。他們三日不能猜出謎語的意思。So he said to them: “Out of the eater came something to eat, and out of the strong came something sweet.” For three days they were unable to explain the riddle.

¹⁵到第七天，他們對參孫的妻說：「你誆哄你丈夫，探出謎語的意思告訴我們，免得我們用火燒你和你父家。你們請了我們來，是要奪我們所有的嗎？」So on the fourth day they said to Samson’s wife, “Entice your husband to explain the riddle to us, or we will burn you and your father’s household to death. Did you invite us here to rob us?”

¹⁶參孫的妻在丈夫面前啼哭說：「你是恨我，不是愛我，你給我本國的人出謎語，卻沒有將意思告訴我。」參孫回答說：「連我父母我都沒有告訴，豈可告訴你呢？」Then Samson’s wife came to him, weeping, and said, “You hate me! You do not really love me! You have posed to my people a riddle, but have not explained it to me.” “Look,” he said, “I have not even explained it to my father or mother, so why should I explain it to you?”

¹⁷七日筵宴之內，她在丈夫面前啼哭，到第七天逼著他，他才將謎語的意思告訴他妻，他妻就告訴本國的人。She wept the whole seven days of the feast, and finally on the seventh day, because she had pressed him so much, he told her the answer. And in turn she explained the riddle to her people.

¹⁸到第七天，日頭未落以前，那城裡的人對參孫說：有甚麼比蜜還甜呢？有甚麼比獅子還強呢？參孫對他們說：你們若非用我的母牛犢耕地，就猜不出我謎語的意思來。Before sunset on the seventh day, the men of the city said to Samson: “What is sweeter than honey? And what is stronger than a lion?” So he said to them: “If you had not plowed with my heifer, you would not have solved my riddle!”

¹⁹耶和華的靈大大感動參孫，他就下到亞實基倫，擊殺了三十個人，奪了他們的衣裳，將衣裳給了猜出謎語的人。參孫發怒，就上父家去了。Then the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, killed thirty of their men, took their apparel, and gave their clothes to those who had solved the riddle. And burning with anger, Samson returned to his father’s house,

²⁰參孫的妻便歸了參孫的陪伴，就是作過他朋友的。and his wife was given to one of the men who had accompanied him.

狐狸燒禾稼

¹過了些日子，到割麥子的時候，參孫帶著一隻山羊羔去看他的妻，說：「我要進內室見我的妻。」他岳父不容他進去，Later on, at the time of the wheat harvest, Samson took a young goat and went to visit his wife. “I want to go to my wife in her room,” he said. But her father would not let him enter.

²說：「我估定你是極其恨她，因此我將她給了你的陪伴。她的妹子不是比她還美麗嗎？你可以娶來代替她吧！」“I was sure that you thoroughly hated her,” said her father, “so I gave her to one of the men who accompanied you. Is not her younger sister more beautiful than she? Please take her instead.”

³參孫說：「這回我加害於非利士人不算有罪。」Samson said to them, “This time I will be blameless in doing harm to the Philistines.”

⁴於是參孫去捉了三百隻狐狸（或譯：野狗），將狐狸尾巴一對一對地捆上，將火把捆在兩條尾巴中間，Then Samson went out and caught three hundred foxes. And he took torches, turned the foxes tail-to-tail, and fastened a torch between each pair of tails.

⁵點著火把，就放狐狸進入非利士人站著的禾稼，將堆集的禾捆和未割的禾稼，並橄欖園盡都燒了。Then he lit the torches and released the foxes into the standing grain of the Philistines, burning up the piles of grain and the standing grain, as well as the vineyards and olive groves.

⁶非利士人說：「這事是誰做的呢？」有人說：「是亭拿人的女婿參孫，因為他岳父將他的妻給了他的陪伴。」於是非利士人上去，用火燒了婦人和她的父親。“Who did this?” the Philistines demanded. “It was Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite,” they were told. “For his wife was given to his companion.” So the Philistines went up and burned her and her father to death.

⁷參孫對非利士人說：「你們既然這樣行，我必向你們報仇才肯罷休。」And Samson told them, “Because you have done this, I will not rest until I have taken vengeance upon you.”

⁸參孫就大大擊殺他們，連腿帶腰都砍斷了。他便下去，住在以坦磐的穴內。And he struck them ruthlessly with a great slaughter, and then went down and stayed in the cave at the rock of Etam.

驢腮骨殺一千人

⁹非利士人上去安營在猶大，布散在利希。Then the Philistines went up, camped in Judah, and deployed themselves near the town of Lehi.

¹⁰猶大人說：「你們為何上來攻擊我們呢？」他們說：「我們上來是要捆綁參孫；他向我們怎樣行，我們也要向他怎樣行。」“Why have you attacked us?” said the men of Judah. The Philistines replied, “We have come to arrest Samson and pay him back for what he has done to us.”

¹¹於是有三千猶大人下到以坦磐的穴內，對參孫說：「非利士人轄制我們，你不知道嗎？你向我們行的是甚麼事呢？」他回答說：「他們向我怎樣行，我也要向他們怎樣行。」In response, three thousand men of Judah went to the cave at the rock of Etam, and they asked Samson, “Do you not realize that the Philistines rule over us? What have you done to us?” “I have done to them what they did to me,” he replied.

¹²猶大人對他說：「我們下來是要捆綁你，將你交在非利士人手中。」參孫說：「你們要向我起誓，應承你們自己不害死我。」But they said to him, “We have come down to arrest you and hand you over to the Philistines.” Samson replied, “Swear to me that you will not kill me yourselves.”

¹³他們說：「我們斷不殺你，只要將你捆綁交在非利士人手中。」於是用兩條新繩捆綁參孫，將他從以坦磐帶上去。“No,” they answered, “we will not kill you, but we will tie you up securely and hand you over to them.” So they bound him with two new ropes and led him up from the rock.

¹⁴參孫到了利希，非利士人都迎著喧嚷。耶和華的靈大大感動參孫，他臂上的繩就像火燒的麻一樣，他的綁繩都從他手上脫落下來。When Samson arrived in Lehi, the Philistines came out shouting against him. And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him. The ropes on his arms became like burnt flax, and the bonds broke loose from his hands.

¹⁵他見一塊未乾的驢腮骨，就伸手拾起來，用以擊殺一千人。He found the fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and struck down a thousand men.

¹⁶參孫說：我用驢腮骨殺人成堆，用驢腮骨殺了一千人。Then Samson said: “With the jawbone of a donkey I have piled them into heaps. With the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men.”

¹⁷說完這話，就把那腮骨從手裡拋出去了。那地便叫拉末‧利希。And when Samson had finished speaking, he cast the jawbone from his hand; and he named that place Ramath-lehi.

¹⁸參孫甚覺口渴，就求告耶和華說：「你既藉僕人的手施行這麼大的拯救，豈可任我渴死、落在未受割禮的人手中呢？」And being very thirsty, Samson cried out to the LORD, “You have accomplished this great deliverance through Your servant. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

¹⁹神就使利希的窪處裂開，有水從其中湧出來。參孫喝了，精神復原；因此那泉名叫隱‧哈歌利，那泉直到今日還在利希。So God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his strength returned, and he was revived. That is why he named it En-hakkore, and it remains in Lehi to this day.

²⁰當非利士人轄制以色列人的時候，參孫作以色列的士師二十年。And Samson judged Israel for twenty years in the days of the Philistines.

拆下迦薩的城門

¹參孫到了迦薩，在那裡看見一個妓女，就與她親近。One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute and went in to spend the night with her.

²有人告訴迦薩人說：「參孫到這裡來了！」他們就把他團團圍住，終夜在城門悄悄埋伏，說：「等到天亮我們便殺他。」When the Gazites heard that Samson was there, they surrounded that place and lay in wait for him all night at the city gate. They were quiet throughout the night, saying, “Let us wait until dawn; then we will kill him.”

³參孫睡到半夜，起來，將城門的門扇、門框、門閂，一齊拆下來，扛在肩上，扛到希伯崙前的山頂上。But Samson lay there only until midnight, when he got up, took hold of the doors of the city gate and both gateposts, and pulled them out, bar and all. Then he put them on his shoulders and took them to the top of the mountain overlooking Hebron.

參孫與大利拉

⁴後來，參孫在梭烈谷喜愛一個婦人，名叫大利拉。Some time later, Samson fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.

⁵非利士人的首領上去見那婦人，對她說：「求你誆哄參孫，探探他因何有這麼大的力氣，我們用何法能勝他，捆綁剋制他。我們就每人給你一千一百舍客勒銀子。」The lords of the Philistines went to her and said, “Entice him and find out the source of his great strength and how we can overpower him to tie him up and subdue him. Then each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver.”

⁶大利拉對參孫說：「求你告訴我，你因何有這麼大的力氣，當用何法捆綁剋制你。」So Delilah said to Samson, “Please tell me the source of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued.”

⁷參孫回答說：「人若用七條未乾的青繩子捆綁我，我就軟弱像別人一樣。」Samson told her, “If they tie me up with seven fresh bowstrings that have not been dried, I will become as weak as any other man.”

⁸於是非利士人的首領拿了七條未乾的青繩子來，交給婦人，她就用繩子捆綁參孫。So the lords of the Philistines brought her seven fresh bowstrings that had not been dried, and she tied him up with them.

⁹有人預先埋伏在婦人的內室裡。婦人說：「參孫哪，非利士人拿你來了！」參孫就掙斷繩子，如掙斷經火的麻線一般。這樣，他力氣的根由人還是不知道。While the men were hidden in her room, she called out, “Samson, the Philistines are here!” But he snapped the bowstrings like a strand of yarn seared by a flame. So the source of his strength remained unknown.

¹⁰大利拉對參孫說：「你欺哄我，向我說謊言。現在求你告訴我當用何法捆綁你。」Then Delilah said to Samson, “You have mocked me and lied to me! Now please tell me how you can be tied up.”

¹¹參孫回答說：「人若用沒有使過的新繩捆綁我，我就軟弱像別人一樣。」He replied, “If they tie me up with new ropes that have never been used, I will become as weak as any other man.”

¹²大利拉就用新繩捆綁他，對他說：「參孫哪，非利士人拿你來了！」有人預先埋伏在內室裡。參孫將臂上的繩掙斷了，如掙斷一條線一樣。So Delilah took new ropes, tied him up with them, and called out, “Samson, the Philistines are here!” But while the men were hidden in her room, he snapped the ropes off his arms like they were threads.

¹³大利拉對參孫說：「你到如今還是欺哄我，向我說謊言。求你告訴我，當用何法捆綁你。」參孫回答說：「你若將我頭上的七條髮綹，與緯線同織就可以了。」Then Delilah said to Samson, “You have mocked me and lied to me all along! Tell me how you can be tied up.” He told her, “If you weave the seven braids of my head into the web of a loom and tighten it with a pin, I will become as weak as any other man.”

¹⁴於是大利拉將他的髮綹與緯線同織，用橛子釘住，對他說：「參孫哪，非利士人拿你來了！」參孫從睡中醒來，將機上的橛子和緯線一齊都拔出來了。So while he slept, Delilah took the seven braids of his hair and wove them into the web. Then she tightened it with a pin and called to him, “Samson, the Philistines are here!” But he awoke from his sleep and pulled out the pin with the loom and the web.

¹⁵大利拉對參孫說：「你既不與我同心，怎麼說你愛我呢？你這三次欺哄我，沒有告訴我，你因何有這麼大的力氣。」“How can you say, ‘I love you,’” she asked, “when your heart is not with me? This is the third time you have mocked me and failed to reveal to me the source of your great strength!”

¹⁶大利拉天天用話催逼他，甚至他心裡煩悶要死。Finally, after she had pressed him daily with her words and pleaded until he was sick to death,

¹⁷參孫就把心中所藏的都告訴了她，對她說：「向來人沒有用剃頭刀剃我的頭，因為我自出母胎就歸　神作拿細耳人；若剃了我的頭髮，我的力氣就離開我，我便軟弱像別人一樣。」Samson told her all that was in his heart: “My hair has never been cut, because I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. If I am shaved, my strength will leave me, and I will become as weak as any other man.”

¹⁸大利拉見他把心中所藏的都告訴了她，就打發人到非利士人的首領那裡，對他們說：「他已經把心中所藏的都告訴了我，請你們再上來一次。」於是非利士人的首領手裡拿著銀子，上到婦人那裡。When Delilah realized that he had revealed to her all that was in his heart, she sent this message to the lords of the Philistines: “Come up once more, for he has revealed to me all that is in his heart.” Then the lords of the Philistines came to her, bringing the money in their hands.

¹⁹大利拉使參孫枕著她的膝睡覺，叫了一個人來剃除他頭上的七條髮綹。於是大利拉剋制他，他的力氣就離開他了。And having lulled him to sleep on her lap, she called a man to shave off the seven braids of his head. In this way she began to subdue him, and his strength left him.

²⁰大利拉說：「參孫哪，非利士人拿你來了！」參孫從睡中醒來，心裡說：「我要像前幾次出去活動身體」；他卻不知道耶和華已經離開他了。Then she called out, “Samson, the Philistines are here!” When Samson awoke from his sleep, he thought, “I will escape as I did before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.

參孫被擄推磨

²¹非利士人將他拿住，剜了他的眼睛，帶他下到迦薩，用銅鍊拘索他；他就在監裡推磨。Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, where he was bound with bronze shackles and forced to grind grain in the prison.

²²然而他的頭髮被剃之後，又漸漸長起來了。However, the hair of his head began to grow back after it had been shaved.

參孫最後的力量

²³非利士人的首領聚集，要給他們的神大袞獻大祭，並且歡樂，因為他們說：「我們的神將我們的仇敵參孫交在我們手中了。」Now the lords of the Philistines gathered together to offer a great sacrifice to their god Dagon. They rejoiced and said, “Our god has delivered Samson our enemy into our hands.”

²⁴眾人看見參孫，就讚美他們的神說：「我們的神將毀壞我們地、殺害我們許多人的仇敵交在我們手中了。」And when the people saw him, they praised their god, saying: “Our god has delivered into our hands our enemy who destroyed our land and multiplied our dead.”

²⁵他們正宴樂的時候，就說：「叫參孫來，在我們面前戲耍戲耍。」於是將參孫從監裡提出來，他就在眾人面前戲耍。他們使他站在兩柱中間。And while their hearts were merry, they said, “Call for Samson to entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison to entertain them. And they stationed him between the pillars.

²⁶參孫向拉他手的童子說：「求你讓我摸著托房的柱子，我要靠一靠。」Samson said to the servant who held his hand, “Lead me where I can feel the pillars supporting the temple, so I can lean against them.”

²⁷那時房內充滿男女，非利士人的眾首領也都在那裡。房的平頂上約有三千男女觀看參孫戲耍。Now the temple was full of men and women; all the lords of the Philistines were there, and about three thousand men and women were on the roof watching Samson entertain them.

²⁸參孫求告耶和華說：「主耶和華啊，求你眷念我。　神啊，求你賜我這一次的力量，使我在非利士人身上報那剜我雙眼的仇。」Then Samson called out to the LORD: “O Lord GOD, please remember me. Strengthen me, O God, just once more, so that with one vengeful blow I may pay back the Philistines for my two eyes.”

²⁹參孫就抱住托房的那兩根柱子：左手抱一根，右手抱一根，And Samson reached out for the two central pillars supporting the temple. Bracing himself against them with his right hand on one pillar and his left hand on the other,

³⁰說：「我情願與非利士人同死！」就盡力屈身，房子倒塌，壓住首領和房內的眾人。這樣，參孫死時所殺的人比活著所殺的還多。Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines.” Then he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people in it. So in his death he killed more than he had killed in his life.

³¹參孫的弟兄和他父的全家都下去取他的屍首，抬上來葬在瑣拉和以實陶中間，在他父瑪挪亞的墳墓裡。參孫作以色列的士師二十年。Then Samson’s brothers and his father’s family came down, carried him back, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of his father Manoah. And he had judged Israel twenty years.

你們若不悔改

¹正當那時，有人將彼拉多使加利利人的血攙雜在他們祭物中的事告訴耶穌。At that time some of those present told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.

²耶穌說：「你們以為這些加利利人比眾加利利人更有罪，所以受這害嗎？To this He replied, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered this way?

³我告訴你們，不是的！你們若不悔改，都要如此滅亡！No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

⁴從前西羅亞樓倒塌了，壓死十八個人；你們以為那些人比一切住在耶路撒冷的人更有罪嗎？Or those eighteen who were killed when the tower of Siloam collapsed on them: Do you think that they were more sinful than all the others living in Jerusalem?

⁵我告訴你們，不是的！你們若不悔改，都要如此滅亡！」No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

不結果子的無花果樹

⁶於是用比喻說：「一個人有一棵無花果樹栽在葡萄園裡。他來到樹前找果子，卻找不著。Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He went to look for fruit on it but did not find any.

⁷就對管園的說：『看哪，我這三年來到這無花果樹前找果子，竟找不著。把它砍了吧，何必白佔地土呢！』So he said to the keeper of the vineyard, ‘Look, for the past three years I have come to search for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Therefore cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

⁸管園的說：『主啊，今年且留著，等我周圍掘開土，加上糞；‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone again this year, until I dig around it and fertilize it.

⁹以後若結果子便罷，不然再把它砍了。』」If it bears fruit next year, fine. But if not, you can cut it down.’”

安息日醫好駝背的女人

¹⁰安息日，耶穌在會堂裡教訓人。One Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,

¹¹有一個女人被鬼附著，病了十八年，腰彎得一點直不起來。and a woman there had been disabled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was hunched over and could not stand up straight.

¹²耶穌看見，便叫過她來，對她說：「女人，你脫離這病了！」When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your disability.”

¹³於是用兩隻手按著她；她立刻直起腰來，就歸榮耀與　神。Then He placed His hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and began to glorify God.

¹⁴管會堂的因為耶穌在安息日治病，就氣忿忿地對眾人說：「有六日應當做工；那六日之內可以來求醫，在安息日卻不可。」But the synagogue leader was indignant that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath. “There are six days for work,” he told the crowd. “So come and be healed on those days and not on the Sabbath.”

¹⁵主說：「假冒為善的人哪，難道你們各人在安息日不解開槽上的牛、驢，牽去飲嗎？“You hypocrites!” the Lord replied. “Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it to water?

¹⁶況且這女人本是亞伯拉罕的後裔，被撒但捆綁了這十八年，不當在安息日解開她的綁嗎？」Then should not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be released from her bondage on the Sabbath day?”

¹⁷耶穌說這話，他的敵人都慚愧了；眾人因他所行一切榮耀的事，就都歡喜了。When Jesus said this, all His adversaries were humiliated. And the whole crowd rejoiced at all the glorious things He was doing.

芥菜種和麵酵

¹⁸耶穌說：「　神的國好像甚麼？我拿甚麼來比較呢？Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it?

¹⁹好像一粒芥菜種，有人拿去種在園子裡，長大成樹，天上的飛鳥宿在它的枝上。」It is like a mustard seed that a man tossed into his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”

²⁰又說：「我拿甚麼來比　神的國呢？Again He asked, “To what can I compare the kingdom of God?

²¹好比麵酵，有婦人拿來藏在三斗麵裡，直等全團都發起來。」It is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour, until all of it was leavened.”
